"All races recently arrived in orbit, please follow instructions to the ships that will escort you down. Thank you for your compliance, and welcome to the Conference." As the message was sent, various Confederate officials went to the assigned landing areas, and led all remaining delegations to the conference.
Meanwhile, back in the hangar, Sharp said in an even tone as he said to the Hegemon, "I'd remind you, Hegemon, that the Confederacy has also taken major losses from their fight with the Invaders. We tried to prepare for any eventuality at Tau Volantis. In doing so, we lost more than anyone during that battle. Most of our Navy's finest ships, in fact. We haven't stopped aiding you for lack of desire, if that's what you believe. While we can still hurt the Abyssals at home, our offensive abilities have been crippled. It's all we can do to hold Triangulum, and that ability is waning as well, since we just lost Maarlox." The Governor then smiled as he added, "But you'll see what we offer you now soon enough. We'll be bringing a lot to the Allied war effort. Every gain the Invaders have made, I believe, we are going to reverse with this. Darkness seeks to envelope the galaxy, but dawn returns today."
With that, the Confederate ruler began to lead the assembled delegations to the conference room.
"I do have access," Marcus replied. "But I am looking forward to seeing everything that has been done by the Acruani. To optimise the Subjugator and accommodate it for Colonial use. As for me, I've been dedicating most of my mind to equipping a unified Intergalactic Armada. The Colonies report billions of losses. I'm going to provide them with the best of Confederate equipment, and end that problem. Once they're supplied with first-rate equipment, they'll win. We'll have to train them in its use of course, but that shouldn't pose much trouble. I have a lot of things in mind. Every advance we've made in military tech over the years. Today we share it all."
He then thought back to Line Maria and said, "Many of those advances came from you, and when you provide the details of Line Maria alongside Sergeant Carver, the Colonies will see a lot of good equipment and a bit of cooperation will do. We didn't even need many troops to take Line Maria."
As for Jennings and Markinson, the Agent only smiled and said, "Nice to hear you've managed to dig in. As for your names, dont worry about them. I understand firsthand the importance of anonymity. Conduct yourselves peaceably at the conference, and we'll have no need of your official names. This way, please."
Once the various groups had all reached the conference room, Sharp smiled and said, "Welcome everyone. Now, if I can have all of your attention, I'll explain how exactly today's actions will change the course of the war." The other officials had arrived as well, and they were prepared to provide their various parts of the explanation. "The Invaders took everyone by surprise, us more than anyone. But just like the first time we met the unexpected, we've caught our breath after immense losses. And now we're going to conquer the obstacle."
"The greatest weapon against the Abyssal threat isn't a trisilviate bullet or a varanium blade, or even one of the Blessed Swords. But rather, unity of all living creatures. To harness this weapon, I propose changing the nature of the Intergalactic Armada. Until now, it has been very informal, a collection of groups willing to support one another in the fight against the Invaders. But this approach has had mixed effectiveness at best. Our military forces are all strong, but all of us are fighting the Invaders separately. If all of our resources, all of our technology, all of our knowledge, and all of our hearts were unified, then we'd annihilate the enemies. I want to see a truly independent Intergalactic Armada. One that is unified, and defends no one but the universe overall. Nation wouldn't matter, as their first objective would be to defend all life. Everyone would be a part of it. I propose a unique uniform, ship design, and command structure for the Armada. It would be led by the greatest members of each nation. But it would be independent and unified. To demonstrate the Confederacy's belief in this idea, we're laying everything we would bring on the table, here at a conference where the entire Universe can see it. No more secret weapons or tricks up the sleeves. In this fight against the Invaders, we're committing everything. I ask the same from all of you."

"I hope that you understand what you are asking for, Governor Sharp.", the Holy Empress said."Such a completely unified Armada... it has never happened before in the history of what we know from this Universe, Creating something like this will have profound implications and consequences. And then... putting all our military secrets on the table.."
The Luminarian Empress remained quiet, as the Hegemon spoke. Saying that the Colonial delegation was.. kinda shocked about this proposal would be the best way to describe it. "For something as big as this... this would be a 1st Importance Level decision. If we would accept something like this.. there would be people up in arms. With our current Federal authority... every last planet that would be opposed to this would rise up. And the military... the Zentraloberkommando would kill me if I'd try to reveal our military "
But while the Empress and the Hegemon seemed to be more worried about the possible consequences this decision would have, Cardinal simply laughed, looking in the Governor's direction with her empty, silver eyes.
"An independent Intergalactic Armada? Formed by parts of the armed forces of all the nations of the known universe? With a common structure, uniform, and ship design? Uniting ourselves in hearts against the Abyssal threat? What do you think this is, some kind of a cliche end of a video game?" For some reason, the young girl really seemed to find this funny. "You want all of us to work and fight together? How? Have you forgotten our past history? Do you think a human will fight together in the same fleet with one of those reptilian demons that easily? That we will all fight together in the same fleet, in the same Armada? Under the same uniform?" Cardinal found it difficult to control her laughter. "The old grudges will never be forgotten. None of us will be able to fight together without constantly fearing that the other will attack us at the first moment of negligence. We, the leaders of these nations have not even once managed to come to one complete accord. Do you think that our men will be any different? And giving away all our military secrets? Who would trust the others enough to do something like this? The Colonies, who have been wavering in fear ever since the Intergalactic Wars, ready to jump at the first hostile sign from the IIA?"
Cardinal then stopped, returning to her usual serious demeanor. "Be realist, Governor. If the Colonies would ratify such a thing, it would be the same as if they would ready their own tombstone. We had mass protests just for allowing the IIA states to send ambassadors to Xalion. We were prepared to hold protests under control for any kind of light cooperation that would be needed further in the war. But something like this? The ones who shed blood in the Wars would better rise in arms than having to fight in the same uniform as a Keltaken or a Confederate. Abyssals or not, our nations have been, and are enemies. Doing such a thing would guarantee that the Parliament of the Colonies would be burning not before long."

"If the Colonies would prefer to keep their military secrets secret, then there's nothing I can do to alter that decision. I simply thought it would be a nice gesture to observe. At any rate, it wont change what the Confederacy will do. While the Colonies may face unrest, Confederate citizens are trained cradle to grave to serve and obey. Survival is more important than any sort of grudge for us."
Sharp then turned to the Cardinal and added, "And I'm not asking the Colonial soldiers to fight alongside Keltakens in direct combat, necessarily. While the Confederate Navy was all but destroyed at Tau Volantis, our manpower remains largely intact. We have most of our pre-Invader forces, minus some good officers we lost. But the Naval Commandos and our other ground forces are nearly whole and ready to fight. If the Colonies would accept help from Confederate forces, we'd win the combat in the Milky Way on the ground. Imagine that. Dozens of fresh armies from us, if only you agree to command and move them. And you must be facing supply problems about now. That's something else we will remedy."
With that, Sharp turned to Marcus, who still remained Head Of Confederate Logistics. The image of Marcus said evenly, "Yes. While we have little in the way of ballistic weaponry, there are many other supplies we can offer. We have mass produced laser weaponry of the highest quality, and unlike metal, light is one of the most plentiful resources in the universe. We would also provide you with the armour that Confederate forces use, assuming you desire it. It's highly advanced and incredibly tough, and it would allow Colonial troops to fight far longer without being killed by the Invaders. Also trisilviate firearms and munitions, which can be mass produced and kill common Invaders by the dozen. Also cryonic weaponry, which is rather far on. Finally, with the help of the Acruani, we've prepared something for the Colonies. This piece of equipment is a gift from us. Well not so much a gift as an attempt to correct past decisions."
Sharp then said to the Colonial delegation, "What I've prepared is something you'll remember from Colonial history books, a short time after the First Intergalactic War. A relic weapon, probably developed in response to the Invaders, on Earth. I was instrumental in stealing it for the Confederacy, and making it a secret weapon of the IIA. Today, I'm revealing this greatest secret, and returning what was taken from the Colonies. I give you, the Subjugator."
With that, Marcus said evenly, "Iraesh. Display the model, and show the Colonies what we've prepared for them."

"So, we are to give technological secrets to these reptillian demons?", said an Eldari phase smith, whose name was Karax. "They who murdered the majority of the Khalai?" "Hush, Karax.", replied the Tal'darim standing behind him. But Karax didn't hide his statement telepathically, and everyone in the room heard what he said. He continued, "We have no problem giving away secrets to anyone here, except for the cold blooded Keltakens that sent our civilization to near oblivion. I, for one, is the only one left of my clan, and you know who killed the rest 11 years ago. Now, the Khalai will only give here how we create those mirror images and our secrets of mass production of Interceptors, but nothing more. We do not trust these lizards." The Khalai, certainly, harbor great hatred towards the Keltalkens, but what of the other three? They never had contact with the Keltalens until now...

"Not they, all of us should win." The Acruani nodded at Marcus before saying, "That will be good, I can only the parties attending the Conference are more flexible." He smiles at the last words given by Marcus and says, "I will be sure to tell them about the events that happened in Line Maria in length. Though in that case, it was truly in part because of factors unknown to us. Truthfully though, the number of ships lost was minimal. And the ones lost planet-side were even smaller. But I will refrain from assuming that there were no unseen variables." After a last smile, Archene said, "We can talk again at the Conference."
While there was a discussion about the matters regarding the sharing of technology, the Acruani Archene spoke,"While We understand there are many here who don't wish to share their technologies with some or all their enemies of the past and present. As before, the Acruani will share nearly any technology with any who require it. Free of the usual request for the amassed knowledge of One's nation." He briefly smile,"We don't request that others share their technologies or fight alongside their hated enemies, nor We believe that this is a videogame, even if Our Enemy may seem to come from one at times. We still believe, however, that acting together in the least, is necessary for our victory rather than fighting against each other. We have enough Data to say that working together is more efficient that working alone when proper synergy is obtained. We will speak more about such matter later in this Conference."
Immediately after being requested, a voice that could be easily enough attributed to a nearly middle aged man was heard saying, "This is, the Subjugator," Despite no appearance of the speaker being shown, soon enough the image of the Subjugator was shown. In the simplest words, it was a giant robot according to the data appearing along with it, "While originally, it had compatibility problems with even Confederate programs, after some effort of myself, Marcus and a number of Confederate scientists, we were able to properly modify it so that not only a single Acruani AI can control it, but also that even an AI such as Kobol or Alice can use it with maximum efficiency. That said, it can be adapted for any Colonial or group of Colonials to use it." There was a brief pause, "Currently, it employs mostly Confederate weaponry, but it was modified so that in the future modifications can be made to it as a whole with ease if it is required by its new owners, The Colonials."

"It might be a nice gesture, but the Universe we live in is anything but nice. We can not afford it, even if we would appreciate your peaceful intentions, Governor.", Cardinal answered."Confederates might be trained to serve and obey. But the Colonies are different. While our soldiers are trained to serve and obey too, they do not serve or obey us. They serve and fight for the ideals of the Federation, and for the freedom of its people. We aren't an utopian collective of artificial intelligences, a Confederacy set on survival, or a feudal and oppressive Empire. We are a democracy, and we follow the will of the people....More or less."
The Hegemon then started to speak, looking maybe a little relieved that they didn't have to share their military secrets. "[The Colonial Armed Forces have lost a lot of troops, ships, and equipment in the war until now. We currently have the largest losses among this.. Intergalactic Armada. But this has given us the chance to upgrade what we have left, and enlarge and refurbish our forces. The Central High Command estimates that currently, around 60% of the total ships of the Kriegsflotte have been upgraded to the 4th Generation. We have started to use new technologies in our fight. Our war industry is working at its fullest. After stopping the main Invader Swarm with the help of our Jupiterran and Acruani allies at Line Stacia, the frontlines have fallen silent. We have used this opportunity to reorganize our forces, abandoning the Static Defense Doctrine, and our forces have been reorganized for the Active Defense Doctrine. We can still use every possible help though."
Cardinal then continued."Yes... we have heard about the Subjugator, and if it is what we believe it to be, it might be a really good weapon in our fight against the Invaders.." The silver haired girl then made a short pause, looking at the information presented by Iraesh.. "Interesting.... so you say you found it on the Earth..... the Streitkräfte would surely love to have something like this in their arsenal."
However, even if Cardinal did seem to be pretty intrigued by the Subjugator, she continued to speak, after a few moments of silence. "The Federation will gladly accept this weapon, and we will use it at the best of our powers. "Cardinal smirked. "But to truly defeat the Invaders, we will need something.. big... and I'm proud to announce that due to the brave missions of Great Admiral Alexander Werther and Vice Admiral Shimazaki Haruna here, the Federated Colonies are currently in the possession of very important information about the weapons system that is known to the human race as Heaven's Fall."

"Please, tell us more," Marcus said in an intrigued voice. "And I'm glad the Subjugator pleases you. If there are any scientific or industrial resources the Confederacy can lend you, they're available. We've just lost the public planet for military research, but there are others."
"Yes," Jennings said suddenly. "I remember on Tau Volantis, a laboratory dedicated to Heaven's Fall. I had other things on my mind, so it mostly went over my head. But please, share what you've discovered."

"Under the command of Großadmiral Alexander Werther, and Vizeadmiral Shimazaki Haruna, the Colonial Military Ship Prinz Eugen recovered one of the parts of the Old Archive of the Human Colonial Alliance which was sent off Earth right before the Great Battle of Sol, after which they recovered the Colonial Archive on Terra Nova. With those two new sources, we managed to put together a video message which was transmitted by the Allied High Command around the same time. It would be better to simply watch it. ", Cardinal said, putting a small, cube like gadget on the table, which projected a holographic screen, on which the following video was shown.
And unfortunately, the video ended here. It was clear that the rest had been censored. Cardinal sighed, and continued speaking. "Unfortunately, it seems that however was the moronic President of the Colonies at the time decided to censor the rest of the video, there is nothing we can do. But we found out a lot more than we have previously known. I guess that it is already clear that what we encountered on Tau Volantis was one of the supporting pieces of the relic, which was activated, but then failed because it couldn't synchronize with the rest, of with the Center."
The Hegemon then continued. "The thing is... we might know where the central construction is, this Deus part the scientist mentioned. But... while we know where it is, we also don't know where it is... it's complicated."

Carver said suddenly, "Give us a location, Hegemon, and we'll recover your relic. It wouldn't be the first thing the Confederacy took back for the Colonies." The Nightmare commander of course referred to Line Maria, and he turned to Archene to provide additional details of the operation.
As for Marcus, once he heard this, he said, "Any scientific resources the Colonies may require can be provided, once all of the relic machines are recovered, of course. And we only need partial numbers of the supporting machines, according to the video. This is good, but the central problem of missing the main piece remains."

The Shadow Templar Matriarch, Vorazin, spoke as soon as Marcus was finished. "Our people have much connection with the Ancients, for we worshiped them, and they molded our evolutionary path. Because of this connection, it is a high probability that there are one or more relic machines in the Koprulu Sector. In Shakuras, there is a very mysterious temple-like structure in the middle of our capital, Talematros. The Shadow Templar used it to repulse the Invader forces attacking Shakuras whilst the Sol System was under attack by the main Invader forces many years ago. According to the archives, the Nerazim manage to activate the temple's energies to destroy the attackers with a shockwave of destruction. We have been only able to decipher part of its code, but we are still unsure whether Ancients built it. However, we have never been able to reactivate it, so we are not assured that defending the Shakuras will be as successful.

After a few moments of silence, the leader of the Acruani spoke, "As long as the necessary information is given, We will do all within our power to find the Central piece, as well as any necessary parts of the whole mechanism." Once Archene finished speaking. Not long after however, Archene spoke once more, "As Commander Carver spoke, however, it isn't the only thing. As you surely noticed, there were recent energy fluctuations in Line Maria, possibly not long before the Colonial frontlines fell silent. Those were due to the brave efforts of Confederates of the Nightmare Company, lead by Commander Carver, and by a number of Acruani, lead by myself. While Acruani ships were the ones who fought the Invaders in space, it was only due to the effort of the Nightmare Company that it was possible to place the White Marker that seemed to be in control over Line Maria. Combat Data acquired will be accessible to all those who request for it for analysis once this meeting is over." Looking briefly towards the Colonials, he continue, "We would like to note that there may still be pockets of survivors in those planets, the ones we were able rescue are currently in Acruani space in Andromeda, in a cosmopolitan planet where they may choose with whom to interact with while being properly tended."
"Regardless of them, however, I would like to note that while we may leave that area immediately, which might allow Us to employ more ships in any needed operation for the Armada, we understand that the Colonial fleet currently requires more time to be completely upgraded. Therefore, we offer to remain in Line Maria to assist any number of Colonial ships the Colonials may send, in order to properly reclaim their territory."

After seconds of silence, the Kirdoni High Queen, Azhjoliran, then asked, "Have you detected anything happenning in the other occupied Lines? Line Gloria especially perhaps?"

"Yes, we have noticed fluctuations in Line Maria, but we couldn't confirm what it was until now, and we simply couldn't spare any forces for an attack on it, no matter how much we would have wanted. If what you say is true, than the Federated Colonies will be deeply indebted to you, especially for saving our citizens.", the Hegemon said. "The Colonial military and administration would of course want to return there as soon as possible, but we would appreciate any help the Acruani can give us until we can properly establish our forces there." The Hegemon made a short pause. "As for Line Gloria, I did see a report that indicated the detection of nuclear explosions in the area, but we considered them to be natural, or maybe due to the explosion of the reactors of Colonial shipwrecks. Except for that, nothing. The same for Line Victoria and Line Rose. Reports indicate that the Invaders might be preparing something, but we don't know for sure. They went silent after we defeated them at Line Stacia, and their large attacks have stopped. Ever since, we only dealt with a few small attacks. But that's exactly why we believe that they might be doing something."
After the Hegemon finished speaking, the Holy Empress also started to speak. "Yes, we have been able to recover some of the side pieces of Heaven's Fall, but the central piece is the problem. Our SPEKO units are working on recovering it right now, but let's just say that getting it is difficult... we'll have to handle it with extreme care. And once we get that piece, we are going to have to ask for military help in protecting it as we move it together with the other pieces. The Invaders will surely try to attack us if they find out that we have it. But there is a little problem about it."
"This however brings us to a rather.. thorny problem we currently have,", the Hegemon continued. "We quite obviously can't fight together if we continue to throw threats at each other. And the situation of the humans in the Andromeda galaxy has become rather problematic, because of the Keltakens, which as usual, completely disregarded any diplomacy, and just started to threaten both the humans in the Andromeda, and the Federated Colonies, because of a perfectly normal and legal referendum. And that's why, the Council isn't all too eager to help us..."
The one that called himself the Captain, the leader of the Human Council in the Andromeda, smiled, before he spoke. "In order for us to use Heaven's Fall, we need the control machine that was built by the Human Colonial Alliance in order to automatically control it. Because, as far as I know, none of us is an expert in handling and controlling Ancient relics. That mechanism was sent off Earth after the Battle of Sol, and was recovered by the authorities of what would become the Federated Colonies, back during the First Secession War, when some Colonials wanted to use Heaven's Fall against the Terran forces. It was never used though, because it failed a Diet vote, and the mechanism was then hidden. And what better place to hide it than in the Andromeda? That was countless centuries before the Keltakens actually started to become a problem. "
Taking a small, holographic projector out of his pocket, the human put in on the table, as it showed a computer like mechanism, a rather large one, that seemed to be supposedly attacked to something. For those who were familiar with the now rather obsolete mechanisms of the Human Colonial Alliance, that surely was made by them, and it did seem rather similar to what controlled the Heaven's Fall piece back on Tau Volantis.
"We are currently in the possession of the mechanism, but we'll give it only if we receive a guarantee that we will be able to hold our referendum, and take on its result, with no interference with anyone, no matter what the result will be. If not, well, you're all more than free to try to study the central relic and try to recreate something to control it."

"Oh well...", said one of the Commonwealth delegates. "From what I remember, two fleets were sent by Verkhovnoye Komandovaniye to search out Line Gloria. The presence of nuclear explosions can only that the fleets have engaged Invader forces in or near Line Gloria. I can't comprehend the annoying, complicated beaucracy of the Verkhovnoye Komandovaniye that for some reason or another they sent sent two whole fleets to that place. The Premier even got angry when he learned that it was all a mistaken order to send them there. But for now, that is a thing of the past. It is customary for Molot Naroda forces to self-detonate when victory or escape is impossible, so I think we need not worry about Commonwealth ghost ships."

"Hegemon, there is no need to thank us. We understand that the situation requires all the power the Colonies have. The Acruani ships currently in line We must note, however, that there is a considerable amount of hibernating Markers populating Line Maria currently, therefore We advise caution."
"Greetings, Representative of the Humans in Andromeda to the Acruani," The Acruani Leader smiled at the Captain, "The only two things I would like to say. Firstly, regardless of any possible general decision of external meddling with what We still consider internal affairs, We would like to study the center piece so that in the future it isn't used as it is being used right now, specially, considering that those that do use it in such way may not use for such, benevolent reason. Secondly, The Collective continues to consider this an internal matter, and will retaliate, again, should there be any interference with the elections, the Data or the execution of the Will of the People."
"That said, we will leave questions regarding the possibility of individual planets remaining in the Collective, considering that the union of planets you represent is far from homogeneous, in regards to opinions. Nor we will ask about what will happen to the Acruani currently present in the systems you represent, should they become a part of the Federated Colonies. Regardless of any result, however, we do request that the party that becomes the sovereign of those systems allow Acruani to remain free to transit and exist within those systems."
