"We understand. It is to be expected, of course. If it were otherwise, I suspect that the chances of this exchange happening would be slim. In regards to armor types, as I mentioned, they are different from what We use currently. Though they are as effective as we specify them." The Acruani repeated to ensure that his part was also understood. Interpreting the reaffirmations given by Rafael something that may simply be customary of their ways of trading.
The Acruani already expected even before information was given that any obtained technologies wouldn't be up-to-par with the latest ones they already had access to. It was, however, very reassuring to make exchanges with those who wish to make sure the terms of exchange are clear. Though only those who are truly honest and those who wish to take attention away from other details do that, the Acruani thought the Jupterrans were of the former.

"Alright, that will be perfect." Taking a chip from his bag, Rafael made sure to double check that it was the correct one. On the surface, was 'PUBLIC RELATIONS FILES', the chip containing all that the Star Fleet was willing to share, including weapons, armours, shields... technology.
"Simply download the files. May this first step be something towards greater things, between the friendly nations of the Star Fleet, and the Acruani."

The Acruani accepted the chip and nodded before tapping his hand on the table, an inconspicuous compartment on it open and a small cube, no bigger than a human child's closed fist. The cube was as white as the other chair and even the table, but had some neon blue circuit-like lines shining on it. The Acruani took the cube and offered it to Rafael, "This data cube has the information for three armor types we are willing to share with you. Though it will have an overview of the three types, once one of the detailed files on methods of production are opened, the other two files will delete itself."
After a brief explanation about how to properly access the data in the cube, which just needed any general data transmission device, the Acruani placed the ship it received in the same compartment it got the cube from, "I hope that the data is acceptable and helps the Star Fleet improve itself, and also helps with future, friendly relations between the Star Fleet and the Acruani Collective. The cube also has data on the open subspace channels you may use to contact us, should the need come."
Later, should the data cube be examined for the data, the three kinds of armors would have the following: Palladanium, Tellurium and Radite. While all of them had quite similar defensive properties overall quite resilient against kinetic and energetic attacks while having a considerable dampening effect on radiation. Not all too strangely, all of them had relatively simple materials that could even be found without much hassle on asteroid fields, but the only real difference between them was their 'weakness'. Palladanium's making process inrevocably would required a month, even if large amounts could be made at the same time, one of the steps for the compound to settle even under the expense of extra energy wouldn't take any less than 2 weeks to be done. Tellurium was simply slightly more brittle than the other though armor types, specially in regards to kinetics, but its production was simply a simpler version of Palladanium's one. Lastly, Radite, it was a rather simple compound using a small variety of different molecules... that would only need a lot of energy, even by Acruani standards. The quick, strong... but expensive choice. (That said Acruani use dyson bubbles around stars to harness energy, among other things. So a lot of energy, is really, a lot of energy.)

"That'll be good. We thank you for these formulas." Rafael said as he observed the three files.
On the chip that he passed to the Acruani, were blueprints for focused Laser Cannons, as well as their generators and formulas to create the focused light energy, as well as it's chemical variants. Dated, but still effective.
"We thank you for this trade. We'll return to our cruiser for now, perhaps we'll do a test of the communications from our ship."

"We also thank you, specially for the historical data. We will be waiting for further contact." The Acruani nodded, the hatch for the room opening itself to facilitate the way out for Rafael.
The Star Fleet's Laser Cannons were indeed different from what the Acruani used, though the final result was also different it certainly would be able to create modifications in the current Acruani Laser Cannons.

Re-entering the Akatsuki, Rafael found out that Ahuna was in the engine rooms. The initial contact went well, but being one who encountered AI for the first time, Rafael wasn't the best negotiator. He was glad that they were happy with Jupiterra's histories tho.
Walking down the corridors, Rafael stretched as he wondered how they were all doing. Vanessa has returned to her quarters. Rounding a corner, Rafael found his target as he slowly crept behind her. The area was empty, when he sprung up, wrapping his arms around Ahuna.
"Her, did you miss me?"

Rafael successfully embraced Ahuna, though she didn't seem all too surprised by his surprise hugging. Instead, she just giggled softly, putting down what she was working on to turn in his arms, returning the hug.
"A little bit, your scent was getting a little faint. So did it go well...? You left me without anyone to talk to.. A-and I ended up running into someone called Va-Vanessa.... She t-touched me in... sensitive areas.."
She blushed as she recalled Vanessa's actions earlier.

Laughing, Rafael turned Ahuna around and saw her blushing face.
"Well, Vanessa's like that, but she's one of the best crew here. She's one of the more... Active ones too."
Ruffling Ahuna's hair, Rafael looked at the time just as his stomach began rumbling.
"Ah, it's time for a meal... Feeling hungry?"

"Hm.. I could go for something to eat..." She pretty much dragged Rafael to the cafeteria at the prospect of more food, already starting to get urges to eat more even after a single day. She was also starting to sniff the air a little more audibly, always on the lookout for danger or oddities even on the Akatsuki.

Rafael chuckled at Ahuna's tendencies to sniff the air, using her natural hunting senses on board a ship. It would take some time for the Sein'Hae to adapt to space warfare, but who knows? They might just be the kind that the Jupiterrans would need to augment their ground forces.
Of course, it would not happen during this generation. Maybe several hundred years down the road, when their population increased to independent numbers, they would be able to stand side by side with Humans.
"Well, what would you like today? I think there's some potatoes and meat... beef, in fact... it's nice to eat, fulfilling to the body, and it might prepare you for... pregnancy."

"Meat sounds..good. Smells good from here, too." They soon entered the cafeteria, and Ahuna sat down at a table, letting Rafael handle the ordering of food for them both. Whilst he did that, Ahuna focused on messing around with a few tools and components that she had 'borrowed' from around the ship.

"Alright. Cool. Make sure you return that gadget when we're done, I cannot have things missing from the engine room even if we have spares." Rafael said as he consumed his food.
Once done, he moved over to the engine room, presumably with Ahuna, as he conferred with his engineers. The engines were almost ready for FTL travel, and the crystal lenses were cleaned and replaced with new plates. Thanks to the Acruani, they could find a secure spot to carry out these repairs.
"Send this message to the Acruani, we shall be back soon with another ship. Hopefully we can learn more of each other from the next round of talks." Rafael said, sending the message to the Space Station through an aide. The Acruani chip was in his hands, and he made sure to allow the scientists to read their overviews before choosing the one which they would adopt.
"Many thanks to the Acruani. We shall be back, it's a promise. Acruani Space Station, requesting permission to disengage."

Ahuna begrudgingly returned the now repaired components upon returning to the engine room, which were looking a lot better now. As the two looked over the engines, four Sein'Hae entered, immediately heading for the two. One stepped forward as the other three kneeled in respect.
"Ahuna. You have to come with us. Chief Ohni is waiting for you." The Sein'Hae turned his attention to Rafael next. "You should come too. As her bondmate, it would be best if you were there, even though you aren't a Sein'Hae."
And with that, two of the other trio stepped forward, quickly escorting Ahuna away, leaving two to escort Rafael.

It sounded urgent. With Ahuna already going onwards, Rafael nodded to his vice commander, leaving the communications room to where the Sein'Hae are.
Rafael wondered what he would find there.

What awaited him was truly a marvel to behold; thr Sein'Hae had managed to remove many of the room's lights to use as torches for this one occasion, dimming the room in the process. The Sein'Hae had all gathered for some kind of ritual, with the former Skullhorn Chief at their head atop a small podium. Ahuna was goaded up by him, whilst Rafael was told to keep to the side for now. They began a fairly lenghty ritual, where each Sein'Hae received a new mask to wear, all of the same style and marked with bloodied handprints covering them.
"My kin, where we thought salvation would lie, tragedy struck us instead! But we are not going to let it be the end of us! With these masks, we throw away our shattered old selves, and become born anew as one! From this day forward, we shall be ready, and we will not let anyone or anything bring us down ever again!"
And with that speech from the Chief, the Sein'hae all raised their masks, before putting them on, including Ahuna. Apparently they had formed a single, new tribe from the ruins of the old.
Next, Rafael was called up to the podium, right in front of the chief, where he was told to stay as the Chief spoke.
"Rafael, you were one of the first to meet our kin, and one of few to truly bond with us at this point. Now, you're the only one of those few remaining, as we seem to have discovered. Not only that, but you have become betrothed to my direct kin, and have already begun bringing about a new generation for us. With these facts in mind, we welcome you to be a part of this new clan, as an honorary member."
Another Sein'Hae stepped forward, offering him a new mask like the others for him to take or decline. Ahuna looked on nervously, for she wasn't exactly fond of being the centre of attention, even amongst kin.
