The JSRF Akatsuki, a cruiser of the Jupiterran Star Fleet, cut it's Warp within the Triangulum System. It's engines near overheating, after being damaged during the battle at Endovul II, the Akatsuki's sensors were also slighly off-calibration. When the ship was supposed to end it's Warp at the Andromeda System, it has instead stopped it's Warp at the Traingulum.
Inside, Rafael woke up, with Ahuna still in his arms. Gently laying her on the bed, the Jupiterran quickly got dressed, before heading to the Command Center.
"Any communications?" He asked. "Send out a call. We need to establish our bearings."

It wasn't long before Ahuna woke up herself, deciding to utilise the time to figure out the shower systems in the absence of a body of water to wash in. After a short, awkward encounter with the shower systems, she got dressed and decided to hunt down Rafael again, using her excellent tracking skilĺs to follow his scent to the bridge, though whether she reached it or not was a matter of what security and obstacles prevented her from reaching the bridge.

It has been a full hour, yet no reply was heard. Thinking, Rafael ordered the ship to head for the nearest planet at full speed. Figuring that it would take about another five hours with the damaged engines, Rafael sat back on his chair as the current shift of crew took a break, a fresh batch of personnel relieving the tired men.
"Sein'Hae are doing good sir." An ensign reported. "No trouble at all, and they are more than happy to help us with repairs and other basic maintenance. They are fast learners too."
Nodding Rafael yawned as he stretched his arms. It was only two hours since he and Ahuna took a nap, and he was still kind of sore, but in a good way. Plugging himself into the Cybergenius terminal, Rafael was slightly overwhelmed before managing to check on the ship's systems. Many were in the yellow, with only the engines and sensors in the red. Hopefully they won't crash into a planet.
Getting up from his seat, Rafael turned back towards his bunk, before bumping into a small figure.
"Ah-Ahuna?" He gasped. "Aye, what are you doing here?"

"I... Woke up and realised that I had nothing to do. So I followed your scent to here. You should wash yourself, by the way, your scent is overwhelming." She smiled at him, to let him know she was merely making an attempt at 'humour', before looking around the bridge, her attention soon focused on looking out at the stars.
"So... Where are we now? The Stars look so.. strange from up here."

"Well... maybe I should rub some of my scent off you shouldn't I?" Rafael teased as he made to hug Ahuna, but the agile girl managing to dodge his tries. Indeed, he has gotten up and running right after their bonding, that he'd forgotten to take a proper wash up. Well, Jupiterran air purifiers can mask an odor from the noses of other humans, but surely not the sensitive noses of the Sein'Hae.
Guess the crew would be more active in the showers now.
"We're in Space, where Star Striders spend most of their lives in. We are in a neighboring system from where we were. Come, I'll show you something."
Leading Ahuna to the topmost section of the ship, where the observation deck was, Rafael brought her into a small room often used by scientists and astronomers. Suddenly, the chamber disappeared, giving Ahuna a clear view of Space, and the Stars.
Moving to hold Ahuna from behind as she looked on in awe, Rafael gave her a slight hug as he took in the view as well.
"Well Ahuna, what do you think of Space?"

After slightly longer than an hour, a reply would come, "Welcome to the Acruani System, AZC-0N12. Please refrain from unrestricted scanning, if there is anything you require please contact us." The signal was clearly coming from one of the moons from a gas giant in the system the JSRF Akatsuki arrived at.
The ship itself was only slightly beyond the last asteroid belt of the system. The system itself had two of them, the inner one being far thinner than the outer one. The JSRF was in between them, ways off from any of the planets. The closest one, though beyond the outer belt, would be the one where the transmission originated.

She stared up in awe at the myriad of stars and objects one could see, occasionally pointing ones out. A comet caught her attention, and she watched it fly by.
"Ah...so that's what that is. We used to see those on our planet, we called them Star-Striders too since that's what we believed them to be. Star-Striders flying by, oblivious to our existence. I wonder how the planet's doing now..."
Her joyous expression dampened as she thought back to Endovul II, remembering the state it was left in, and she brought a hand down to rest on Rafael's.

Rafael just held on to Ahuna as they continued to observe the stars. Just the two of them in the room, it was somehow therapeutic for the Jupiterran. Suddenly, a call came through his Cybergenius gadget, the ship has received a message.
"I'll be back alright?" Rafael whispered to Ahuna as he guided her to a chair with drinks. Smiling at her, Rafael headed straight for the Command Center, where his crew were struggling to plot the direction of the transmission.
"Sensor's damaged real badly, I think the Kova Crystals may have been compromised." "We're in a pretty bad shape." Rafael replied. "Nah we cant scan for nuts even if we wanted to. Try sending this out."
"Acruani System, AZC-0N12, this is the JSRF Akatsuki of the Jupiterran-Relikan Star Fleet, from the Milky Way. We have suffered damage from battle and the stresses of FTL. Request docking permissions and military access to rest our ship for repairs and refueling."

There was a delay of less than a minute before the answer came this time, "Permission Granted, JSRF Akatsuki. We will send coordinates for our closest fully functioning station. There you make repair your ship and refuel. If there is no haste to make repairs, we recommend a route around the asteroid field. Lastly, this seems to be the first interaction between the Jupiterran-Relikan Star Fleet and the Acruani. If possible, we would like to have formal talks with the highest available authority, or the most appropriate one, before your departure." Surely, not a minute after a location was transmitted though with the asteroid field it would be hard to obtain visual details, it was the location of a large space-station.
The space-station orbiting a bleak gray moon, clearly lacking any atmosphere. The only sign that there was any civilization on it was a single structure, similar enough to a silver booming lotus of almost 25 kilometers radius. The space-station itself being similar to the structure on the ground if the botton-side of the said structure mirrored how it could be seen from space. (Yes, it is just a tiny silver dot on a gray moon.)

"Roger, much thanks. We'll find our way over. Our engines have been severely affected and we will be shutting them down to avoid internal explosions. We will give you hourly updates on our position. Many thanks AZC-0N12. Akatsuki will send a delegate over when we're here. Akatsuki out."
"Estimated time to skirt the Field to be fifteen hours on auxiliary engines Sir." The Navigation Officer called out.
"Thank you Ensign. Hope you had a good rest." Rafael said as he called out "Drinks!". Cups popped out of terminals for the crew. "Stand down from General Quarters."
Walking back to the observation deck, Rafael saw that Ahuna was sleeping. Gently lifting her, Rafael brought her back to his room, where he lay her on his bed before going for a nice hot shower. They will be docking in slightly more than half a day, and it would do him good to have some rest, unless Ahuna has other things in mind...

It wasn't long before Ahuna woke up again, having nodded off to sleep off all the drinks she consumed experimentally. She decided to wander off to the other Sein'Hae, discovering many of them are to be at least reassured enough by the Chief that they weren't demotivated. Using whatever they could find, they had turned the rec room into a temporary village, with tents, bedrolls and crude idols dotted around. She got her bruises and scratches finally tended to,and had her shirt cut down to a proper size, using the extra material to make some leg wrappings. She then went off to look at the engines.

Ten hours to the Acruani Space Station
Rafael woke to find Ahuna not by his side. Sighing, the Jupiterran figured that she might have gone exploring the ship again. Another wash up, as he tapped into the ship's terminal to discern her location, viewing the engines. The damaged engines. Before he went to his bondmate, Rafael checked on the Sein'Hae, awed that they managed to convert a section of the recreation area into a village. Jupiterran medics continued to tend to them, some holding holograms to aid their integration into Jupiterran living. It didn't take long for Rafael to find Ahuna looking over the silent thrusters, shut down in case of an energy overload. Creeping behind her, Rafael managed to surprise her with a playful tickle to her ribs.
"Well Ahuna, these are the engines... but they have been damaged. Hopefully they will be able to be repaired soon." Rafael said solemnly. Before he was a liaison, Rafael was an engine mechanic.
"Are you content on staying here, or would you like to go elsewhere? This ship is quite big, and we have around... nine hours until we dock."

"Well... I do find things like this interesting to look at. The Metalshell clan used to bring salvaged engines, weapons and stuff to us occasionally, to show us how it worked. Mostly it was so they could help us get stuff we salvaged working so they could trade things for it, though it was still beneficial to us. Hence why we had working showers and lights at the village... Maybe I'll come down here at some point, help with repairs."
She looked over the engines one last time before turning to him with a smile.
"But for now, I suppose we could go elsewhere. Where would you recommend, Raf?"

"Normally I'd recommend my room to help the Sein'Hae live on..." Rafael teased as Ahuna looked away while blushing furiously. "But I think you'd want to look at the Hangars. I can show you my own plane, which you can sit on if you wish to."
Rafael was considering his modified Typhoon fighter-bomber, a version adjusted to fit the Geniuses of Jupiterra. Instead of visually relying on radars and scanners, the Genius themselves can tap into their subconsciousness, and control everything from flaps, engines, guns and missiles even after launch, guiding them to their targets as the pilot continues to control the fighter.
Usually cruisers of this age would be housing Breeze fighters, but modernization allowed them to adapt to even the AI-Typhoons, four of which were not deployed as Rafael wasn't on board during the battle.

"A plane...? Are you talking about those small Striders that flew over the treetops before? I'd love to see one up close, they look so fascinating."
She excitedly waited for Rafael to escort her to the hangars, looking forward to inspecting a fighter up close.
