For thirteen short years, the Drathian Fylkirate was a symbol of unity, a symbol that the Drathian people, constantly at eachothers throats and seperated into warring tribes each fighting for dominance on a single forest filled planet, could be brought under one banner of cooperation. A symbol that even the bitterest of enemies could lay down their arms and make peace, that even the most turbulent and frightening storms had an end. All of this, the product of three generations of careful planning, diplomacy, and indeed a few armed conflicts, was shattered in minutes. Interplanetary Communications Tower, Drathia"Sir, the colonies of Norga, Svartsol, as well as eight other frontier systems have cut off all communications with us. Even worse, all fleets originating from those areas have also cut off communications." The officer looked up to his commander with pursed lips. "I fear an Invader attack." The officer rubbed his chin, then slowly shook his head. "It can't be, the Invaders wouldn't be able to launch a massive assault like that without warning.. Nott after the losses the suffered after Tau Voltanis. The only person who could do this is.." He dropped his hand, looking at the screen in the horror of realization. "Traitors.." That's when the screens turned red, an insignia replaced the maps and graphs previously taking up space on the projections. The insignia of a black skull with a spear jutting through its top. The insignia of the Thrill-Kill Clan. The image of a Drathian, his face hidden by the folds of the filthy brown hood he was wearing, appeared on all screens, not just in the tower, but in the entire Fylkirate. For such an inflitration like this to happen.. They must have been planning this for months. "Hello? Hello hello? Is this thing on?" The figure tapped a microphone, revealing his clawed robotic hand. His face was incredibly raspy, and had almost a metallic echo to it, as if he was speaking through some sort of helmet. "Oh, wonderful." The figure looked at the camera, face still hidden. "May I start by saying that, you would be correct in assuming this is a deceleration of war. You see, the outer colonies are kind of tired of being underrepresented and their issues 'set aside for later'." He waved his hand nonchalantly. "So! We decided to take what we deserve, the inner colonies, the throne of the Fylkirate. And! Zlasa's head!" He laughed, a deep, practiced sounding vocalization. "You have two hours to respond, otherwise, my armies march on your doors." The screen went black.
OOC: This roleplay is going to be focused on a lot of combat, strategy, tactics, and indeed a deeper look into the struggles of the everyday soldier. Here, I'll be compiling a list of all the currently involved factions, and the currently contested territories. Short, simple, sweet, and to the point, right? A few rules before we continue: - No godmodding
- Main characters may die, be wary when using them.
- Be realistic with numbers. i.e, no numberwanking.
- Keep logistics in mind, you're not going to be able to supply an army deep in enemy territory.
- Most importantly, have fun!

mind if i send a few mech teams to help the loyalists? Obviously the Empire would want Zlasa in power OOC: Go ahead. ^^ IC: Drathian Space, DrathiaThe fleet had been diminished by desertion and abandonment. The one proud Drathian Navy, consisting of over a thousand ships, could barely scrap up two hundred. Right now, fifty of those ships, mostly the Drathian Iron Class, were stationed around the homeworld to defend against any sort of rebel attack. Still, they were worried, the rebels had been winning unopposed victories in the border colonies, as the loyalist military was cut down too far, stretched too thin, for it to mount any sort of feasable resistance. Their only hope for victory would be to muster all their strength and take the rebel forces head on. If they won that conflict, then maybe they'd have a chance at retaking their lost territory from the broken enemy fleet. Until then, though, it was all the Fylkirate could do to hold its own and bolster its defenses before the Rebels arrived. Admiral Borik 'Four-Legged' was on the bridge of his ship, the DSS Imp, sipping a mug of coffee. It was a human drink, perhaps. But he certainly liked the taste of it, especially when loaded with sugar and milk. With tired eyes, he watched the black expanse of space before him, dotted with the tiny, distant stars. Beautiful as it was, Borik knew that each of those stars had the potential to bring forth a rebel attack, he had to be ready for anything. A sudden beeping from his holocommunicator snapped the admiral from his trance. He took the device from his pocket to see that the captain of the ship next to him was requesting communication. He answered. "What is it?" He asked gruffly. "Do you see anything?""I'm sorry, sir." The captain replied. "But Lord Serratus promised me he'd let my family live if I did this." The communication was cut off. "What!? What do you mean!? Captain! Answer m-.." Suddenly, the Imp rumbled. Borik looked around to see flashing red alerts on the monitors in the bridge. His ship had taken a heavy hit to the flank, which had disabled his right broadside batteries. "Battlestations! All of you!"The scene was turning ugly above Drathia. About half of the Drathian ships stationed above the capital of the Fylkirate began to fire on their comrades, who in turn, fired a counter salvo. Without any sort of formation for both sides, the entire engagement was just a gigantic bloodbath. Ships were going down left and right, and people on the same side ended up killing their allies all too frequently. The discipline of the Fylkirate crew was paying off though, and soon, it was evident that the traitors wouldn't be able to hold much longer. That is, until thirty more Rebel ships jumped into the system, accompanied by a Drathian Cannibal. Planet Surface, DrathiaDown below, the halls of the Citadel lay littered with the surprised corpses of guards. They were caught unaware by the traitors who had stabbed them in the back, not giving so much as a warning before murdering their fellows in cold blood. They marched confidently into the bowels of the compound, brandishing their weapons and preparing themselves for whoever decided to get in their way.

Die Koloniale Ministerium für Staatssicherheit Schild und Schwert der Kolonien! The Colonial Ministry for State Security The Shield and Sword of the Colonies!
Berlin HQ
The Berlin Headquarters of the Colonial Ministry for State Security were in full work today, after news had been received of a situation developing in Drathia, were unfortunately, the Hegemon of the Colonies was right now. Since it was in foreign territory... this was going to be a really delicate situation. "Sir, we received a report from the Hindenburg. What seems to be a fight between different internal factions in the Drathian Fylkirate has started around and on the planet of Drathia. The Hegemon was in the place the Drathians call the Citadel, Unfortunately, for the moment, the Hindenburg has no contact with the Hegemon or the guards they have sent with him, and they are afraid that they might get caught in the battle.", an Unteroffizier reported to his superior, an Oberst. "Tell them to enter condition one. Do not fire first, but fire if attacked. We need to get the Hegemon out of that place, alive. If anything happens, they are authorized to use Protokoll Jüngster Tag. Dismissed." "Jawohl Herr Oberst!"
Die Föderierte Kolonien "Einheit, Freiheit, und Glechheit!" Koloniale Militärschiff Hindenburg
The Federated Colonies "Unity, Freedom, and Equality!" The Colonial Military Ship HindeburgOrbit of Drathia Attention, Attention, all hands, action stations, action stations. Set Condition One throughout the ship! Establish perimeter around the ship. Launch Wyverns. All forces, hold your ground.
Seemingly suddenly caught in the middle of a fight between Drathian loyalists and rebels, the crew of the Colonial Military Ship Hindenburg, the flagship of the Hegemon, were quick to react, sending a report back home, and entering condition one, all the crew on action stations. The Hindenburg powered its shields and Klein Fields, getting all its offensive and defensive measures ready, before it launched Wyvern fighters and Cobra drones to secure a perimeter around it. However, it didn't intervene, yet.

Orbit of Drathia The sounds of battle began to die down as the last of the loyalist ships protecting the Drathian homeworld were either captured or capsized. All that remained was the rebel attack force, which, without anything to draw their attention, all shifted their focus to the Hindenburg. 45 ships, all with their weapons trained on the human vessel as the fishlike Cannibal swam through space around the gathering, teeth glittering hungrily. The Hindenburg had nowhere to run, trying to break through the formation on its own would leave the ship completely surrounded by hostiles, and they were too close to make an FTL jump safely. However, it seemed that the rebels did not want blood, not from the Hindenburg. A transmission was sent to the Colonial ship.
Drathia, Surface The capital city of the Drathian Fylkirate, Skraela, was in chaos. Armed rebels were storming the streets as the local garrison scrambled to prevent further destruction of the city. The law enforcement of the city had joined the effort in pushing the rebels back, but were sorely underequipped for the job. Thankefully, so were the rebels. Most of their equipment was either stolen and outdated, or damaged. Air support from loyalist bases also kept the rebels from approaching the Citadel, though at the cost of civilian lives and infrastructure. At this point, Skraela was a mess, with the outer reaches of the city nearly completely leveled by air bombing and other explosives.
Grand General Cronar was among the fighting loyalists, and as the highest ground military position in the Fylkirate, gave his men a gigantic boost in morale. The rebels had no such advantage, and as their numbers began to dwindle, more and more of the attackers either fled or gave themselves up for capture.

Needless to say the Empress was not in a position to notice the efforts going on with the Darthans. Therefore the situation fell to the Inquisition ,specifically two very important chapter the 4th chapter otherwise known as The Reapers, extermination and elimination of entire planets was their key characteristic. They would stop nothing short of blowing up an entire planet to accomplish their goal. They where lead by a Keltaken known as the Butcher and he had taken several run ins with Darthans..needless to say he had no qualms with killing them, in droves. To reign in their brothers the 7th chapter was also requested to come and ensure that they focused their efforts on the Traitors only. This group of Keltakens was known as the Hoods, In charge of populace control such as riot police and less violent means of attack. For this purpose the 7th chapter has sworn off all deadly means of attack in favor of stun weaponry the leader of this chapter Dega the Lover, so named because of his alleged interests with many many lovers is often at odds with Karraka the Butcher over his excessive use of brutality. As the Chain of Command dictates in Keltaken code this would fall under the domain of Dega more then Karraka as such Karraka though heavily against the idea is forced to follow Degas command.
Dega and his forces an armada of 120 Battle ships, 18 light cruisers and 1000 transports loaded with food and supplies for the capital with only about 60,000,000 crew were to assemble over the home world of the Darthans where they would be joined by the Red Scythes...The grand armada of Karraka and his reapers. Karraka and his forces had amassed a fleet of 220 Battleships 180 Heavy cruisers and 4 Purge vessles, and another 1000 transposts with a crew of 120,000,000 and a land invasion force of about 70,000,000 soldiers, heavy equipment, tanks, and bombers. Karraka would be the one to try and eliminate the rebel forces and make way for dega and his Aid.
"So Damn Boring...hyperspace and all this annoying little nonsense I can't wait to blast something already...Dega will be a bit delayed so out forces will have to simply wait it out. Our "Orders" ugh obeying that pervert is simply blah...Regardless we are to eliminate all enemy presence above the planet and then wait for reinforcements. We are not to move to the ground until he arrives but where is the fun in that, we will set up a forward command once we handle whatever is still in orbit. Keep the Transports in reserve last thing we need is the traitors getting ahold of them." Karraka and his Armada soon jumped out of war guns at the ready, they where very surprised to see that the colonials where here, "This will be interesting. Hold fire until ready." and with that they waited to see what would happen next.

As the starship left hyperspace, Terence Radford, Phantom 13, saw immediately that the situation wasn't as expected. There were enough Inquisition vessels to darken the light of the local stars, and this confused the agent. He also noticed the Colonial ship and other unidentified vessels. He hadn't seen an Inquisition presence like this, not since the Terror Wars. But if the Keltakens were planning to overthrow Zlasa, common soldiers would have been sent, which meant the Keltakens hadn't attacked Zlasa and ended the transmission.
Radford quickly said into his comm device, “Treason on Drathia, but not how we thought. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more.”
With that, he opened a channel with one of the Inquisition vessels, and said, “Greetings. I am Phantom Agent Terence Radford of Imperial Intelligence. We came to investigate and quell the treason on the Drathia. Would you mind sharing what you've so far learnt?”

The effects of heavy genetic engineering and selective breeding, Inquistion members especially commanders where a breed all of their own. "This Chapter Master Karraka of the 4th inquistion Reapers, We are currently following in accordance with Chain of Command. This attack on the Darthans and with their leader incapacitated it has pulled much of our resources as this is a very serious matter. We have been pulled along with the 7th Inquistion force a.k.a The Hoods. We know little of what is going on here and have been given specific orders to clear all enemy ships from the space above the planet. After that we are to await The Hoods and commence ground operations. However they are to be delayed therefore we have been given command to deploy mechanized forces. We are about to begin out assualt as soon as we can identify friend from foe any information you have on that matter would assist us."

Die Föderierte Kolonien "Einheit, Freiheit, und Glechheit!" Koloniale Militärschiff Hindenburg
The Federated Colonies "Unity, Freedom, and Equality!" The Colonial Military Ship Hindeburg The Colonial Military Ship Hindenburg continued to maintain Condition One, launching even more fighters, and sending a request for help, before responding to the message.
The Hindenburg, still in the orbit of Drathia, started to open its warhead hatches, everyone in the system being now able to detect the well known energy signature of the Opilium Tactical Nuclear Warheads, the extremely destructing weapons used by the Colonies when they really needed. Under normal circumstances, this would have never happened... but the Hindenburg was in a clear inferiority, caught between the Keltakens and the Drathian rebels. A message was soon sent to all ships in the system.
If any of the ships in the system would attack the Hindenburg... even if the Colonial ship was a mere Type III, it was going to fully prove to the others why the Colonial battlestars were considered to be the most resistant and difficult to destroy ships in the known universe.

The Confederate agent said evenly, “Master Karraka, thank you for sharing your information. I won’t interfere much in your operations, ground or space. Although, once you clear the orbit, I’m heading to the planet to find out what started all of this. My main mission is rescuing the Fylkja, and any other foreign dignitaries, as well as destroying any resistance to the Fylkirate government we found. But seeing as you’re here, I’m sure that’s well in hand.” He then added, “But I would reccommend trying to protect the Colonial ship. Any Intergalactic conflict would undermine the Imperial War Effort against the Invaders.”
Radford smiled internally, doubting even an Inquisition Master would argue against the best interests of the IIA. He also sent a message to Intelligence saying, “Good news. Keltakens didn’t interrupt the transmission as believed. But the Colonial ship is in danger, so reinforcement may be prudent. Nothing much, only a few cruisers should be enough. It is a Type III battlestar. Planet is currently controlled by Unknown dissidents, but I doubt the Inquisition will leave anything to discover. I’m moving to assist the Colonial ship. Tell the KOLSI that help is on the way.”

If any of the ships in the system would attack the Hindenburg... even if the Colonial ship was a mere Type III, it was going to fully prove to the others why the Colonial battlestars were considered to be the most resistant and difficult to destroy ships in the known universe. Zarraka shook his head at the message and simply gave a sigh at the insufferable colonials. "Send them a reply before I am so tempted to fire on them." With that operators scrambled between setting up the main guns and setting zarraka up to give his message. " This is a message from the Keltaken battleship Anthvora, I am chapter master Karraka of the 4th chaoter and while I never thought I would say this to a human it seems our goals my be similar in scope. I know your leader is still on that planet and as by keltaken law I am forced wither or not I like it to assist in reclaiming all world's fallen to these rebels. So long as your goal is to protect your leader and in extension ours, you will habe the support of my people...Daga will love to habe a chat with you when this is over" Karraka couldn't help but chuckle at the last bit, the pervert would love to see a human up close alien life facinates him in such a way it is sickening. "All main guns prepare to fire see if you can get a lock on the enemy, in truth the are lucky, I will give them a quick death Laro would have a field day slowly executing these traitors. Well he's off on another world for now so no need to worry about him. I wonder what is keeping Daga..." Karraka sighed and then looked to the confederates reply to the situation. "The confederates confederates confound me sometimes. One way or another we will need all the support we can muster with the new Empress on the warpath we have limited resorces with which to work with outside of the chapter. It will be interesting to say the least. Send him a message and let him know that we will do our best to keep them from being blown up. So long as the Confederate stays out of the way of our guns while he is down their then he should have no problems with us. In fact..." " Confederate operative we are going to begin out attack soon, in the resounding panick it will cause you will slip down onto the planet to rescue the darthan leadership. We will try to keep them busy long enough without resorting to nuclear weapons. Should the need arrise however and if the Darthan half of the empire's crown is no longer alive then I will habe no choice but to initiate purge protocol, the destruction of all traitor held planets for their transgressions let us hope it does not come to that."
Shortly after the transmission cut an operator spoke up, "Sir we are ready to open fire." Zarraka nodded and tapped the armrest of his chair. "Good then signal all ships open fire destroy these fools" with that the fleet began to engage the traitors trying to start a bit enough diversion that the Confederate could slip past. They would get through themselves eventually thi was quicker however and would likely save valuable time.

Orbit of Drathia Upon the Colonial request, the rebel ships all locked their weapons onto the Hindenburg, however, they delayed in firing. It was soon seen why, the mass of Keltaken ships that jumped into the system. The third party's arrival marked certain defeat for the rebels. Not only were they outnumbered, but completely outgunned as well. Fighting for them would mean the deaths of each and every crewmember in their fleet. The only option was for them to flee.
One by one, the rebel ships deactivated their weaponry, and turned away from the Colonial vessel. Spooling up their FTL drives, they began to warp out of the system. It would be best for them to fight another day, rather than to foolishly die here, where their sacrifices would do nothing for their cause. It was sad, that they had to leave behind their bretherin on the planet below. But, ships were hard to produce, ground soldiers were not. The rebel ground troops would have to learn that the hard way.
Like that, the battle over Drathia was won.
Drathian Surface The rebel forces in the capital city of Skraela were reduced to an unorganized mob of guerilla fighters and individual combatants. Without any orbital support, the defenders quickly managed to push the bulk of the rebels outside of the city, though at a great cost of civilian lives. Dead bodies of women, children, and the elderly littered the streets of Skraela. Especially in the outskirts of the settlement, houses were leveled, and stores all but empty, burnt out husks. The only sounds were those of pained moaning, crackling fire, and the occasional artillery shot.
Outside the city, only three rebel big guns remained, already low on ammunition. However, they had nowhere to restock, nor to retreat for a regrouping. For those still sieging Skraela, the only option was to die fighting. Surrender, was simply not possible at this point. Not for traitors.

I want to survives, tag them and try to see where they are going get a stealth fighter up quickly." Within that moment the merciless Keltaken fleet began its bombardment trying to knock out as many ships as they could, they would slaughter anyone and everyone who was part in this. "I will offer them no surrender, where Daga might have his way on the surface i control this combat..kill them all and quickly." Smiling sadistically Zarraka watched as the fleeing ships tried to escape his guns. In the hanger a Stealth fighter with a few Keltaken beacons was being scrambled, these vessles created to latch on or follow behind a ship in hyperspace show the true will of the Empire, to hunt and destroy where they can and what enemies they may find. In truth the enemy fleet was lucky, those that escaped would have time before the Scythes would return after them. If not under direct orders Zarraka would simply leave the planet to its own devices to continue the battle. "That pervert better get here soon..when they leave not much will be stopping me from shelling the surface..." With a sigh he looked on enjoying what combat there was to be had

Seeing that the Keltakens had more or less cleared the orbit and the Colonial ship was safe, Radford began his descent to the planet. The dark sky and the lightning were beautiful, much like that of Karsopolis. Major differences included the lack of rain, and the lack of forests. There was nature certainly, but it was different and tough to discern at the moment.
Focusing on his mission, the Imperial agent sent a message to the Citadel. It said simply, “Citadel. This is Terence Radford, an agent of Imperial Intelligence sent to assist the Drathian government. Is loyalist control returned, and can I land? My primary mission is finding the Fylkja, whose discussion with Intelligence was interrupted. I’m also supposed to find the Hegemon of the Colonies. Please respond.”
Meanwhile, in the orbit of Drathia, a task force of five Intelligence ships entered the system, five Persecutor-class Dreadnoughts. They weren’t as big on raw power as the Devastators, but they were faster and stealthier. They were also painted black with white spots to help held in with space. They wouldn't be taking part in the current battle, but they would be guarding the planet from further rebel incursions with Drathian consent.
