C.M.S. Hindenburg, Hangar Deck A.
"Well, those Drathian bastards are only allowing us to send one transport fighter down there. And that after their moronic civil war has put our Hegemon's life in danger...", Lieutenant Lise Wedelkind said, clearly not happy about the decision of the Drathians. "If a war with the Drathians wouldn't have been the last thing we need now, I would happily sent down an entire regiment and a fighter squadron... but we'll have to do this with what we can. Me and my team here will get down on Drathia to secure the Hegemon. If there is any way you can prove that we can trust you... you can come too." C.M.S Hindenburg, Command and Information Center
"The human attacks on the Keltakens in the past were made by the Human Colonial Alliance. Earth is who slaughtered the Keltakens, not the Colonies. At the time, the people of the Colonies had no rights in making this decisions. That was a mistake the Colonies tried to fix, by allying with the Keltakens against the Terran expansion in the galaxy of the Andromeda. But it was obvious from the beginning that the alliance between an idealistic nation like the Colonies and an aggressive, warmongering nation like the Keltaken Empire couldn't last. And the last drop, the spark of the war was when you attacked a race that couldn't defend itself, a race you knew that was under Federal protection. You started it. You started the Intergalactic Wars.", Retia said, defending her points of view as calm as ever. "Bloodshed will only lead to more bloodshed? Put aside the hate? That could never happen. Too much blood has been shed between our races. Too much hate exists. To much anger is present. There is only one way that this cycle could be broken. By one of the races being wiped out from the face of the universe. And even if it will take millennia, eventually, the humans will surpass you, like we surpassed every other race who faced us. The Keltakens are the ones that have to change, not the humans. Unless you give up on what makes us hate you, peace will never exist." Daga couldn't help but laugh at how the woman was talking, "My dear, you sound more like a Keltaken. Blood and violence seem to be all you can call for. Here I am, offering some symbol of peace. A chance to change things and yet all you can ever cry out for is blood, what of your children? When you are dead and your children seek for a life do you wish to make them fight as well? Would you wish that nothing more for your people then the total destruction of your enemy simply because of a wrong you are to young to truly understand? To know that every single child that will ever come from your planets are to be soldiers, to fight and die in some godforsaken corner of the Galaxy only to be forgotten. If you are driven to these things then my dear look no further then Karraka himself, for you very well may be the human equivalent of that war hungry Bastard of a Keltaken." He stopped talking for a moment to let it really sink in, the humans where becoming what they wanted to destroy. "My Empress, once, was an advocate of peace and openly spoke about it with your hegemon. He drove her to think that only blood and war would satisfy you, like a Keltaken in a Deaavh piav!" his Keltaken tongue slipping out he took another second to compose himself. "In a Death Pit, much like your gladiators of old Blood satisfies Blood it seems. Now i ask you, are you a Keltaken or a Human? With all the anger I see here are you all blind to a solution that will cost you so much less then what your willing to pay. Right now peace can be bought at a bargain price, no one has a clear advantage over the other and the Empress has sought peace with your people before...What is the logic in escalating the conflict? In escalating the bloodshed and dooming your children to fight a constant fight until one side is eventually wiped out, what if that side is your side? Words to consider, and i hate to ask but do you have something to eat im a bit peckish." Karraka could only smile, "So the fools actually think they can attack me and it will go well? I watched the leveling of this planet before and if i have to I'll level it myself haha...send them a reply let them know i am not one to simply be trifled with under any circumstances...An attack on me would force the Keltakens to side with neither and simply eliminate both threats they would all have to fear my blade." as the message cut out only about 20 minutes later a film was played, it was footage and sounds of what happened with those escape pods, it was only majorly on Darthan frequencies, the images where as expected, their was sound of dead men and women beggers for their life before slowly the Harbinger crushed it letting in space and killing the traitors inside. Slowly and painfully, some where captured alive however and their fate is still unknown, with it came a message. "I am Karraka, what you are seeing is what should happen to Traitors, No Mercy, if you claim to be a part of their ranks I will find you and I will show you what a Keltaken can truly do. So far most of you have called Keltaken acts "Monstrous and Atrocities" I will show you true Monstrous acts, true Atrocities if you do not surrender now then i will watch as you burn, as your comrades burn, and then from the ashes the Imperium will simply rebuild. To those wishing to return to your roots my comrade in the Inquisition Daga is offering you a chance to repent, to and start anew you will only be offered this one choose wisely. For those seeking this chance to repent you are to head to the closet Keltaken held world for processing and then we will return you to the loyalist held world of your choosing. That is all"

"All children of our planets have already become soldiers, you know? The Colonies have never been at peace in their entire history. Not.Even. Once.", Retia said, looking at the humanoid Keltaken. "Wars used to be much more simple in the past, back when the number of battlestars, or battleships, or however you call the heaviest of the heaviest of ships used to already decide the result of a battle. The Second Cold War... that was a clean war. Until the Keltakens arrived and broke the illusion, drowning the stars in the blood. So don't act all mighty Keltaken. Unlike you, we humans actually have good reasons to be angry and hateful. And comparing me to a Keltaken? I haven't xenocided the hell out of a planet yet, you know.". The blue eyed Colonial girl clenched her fists."Unlike your little Karraka, I have a reason to be angry and hate the Keltakens. And be sure that for every Keltaken that would die, the souls of the dead humans would cheer. Don't try to compare us to your filthy race. The Colonies have done a lot to fix the mistakes of the humans race. But you, Keltakens, have remained the same warmongering and hateful people."
Retia then took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. "But then of course, these are all my personal opinions. Just because I hate Keltakens, and the Hegemon hates Keltakens, it doesn't mean that the Colonies will go to war. Unlike you Keltakens, which have remained stuck in a oppressive feudal monarchy thingy, the Colonies have always been a democracy. We vote on things. If the Keltakens would want peace, the Colonies would be more than open to it. But you have to prove it to us first. Prove it that you want peace. Because right now, there is no sane Colonial human in this universe that would trust you. Your race did too much to be trusted anymore. "
The blonde haired girl then took something that looked like a muesli bar from one of the many small pocket thingies attacked to her belt, and threw it to the Keltaken. "We have only military rations here. We're a battlestar of the Kriegsflotte, not a restaurant."

"You speak as if you that is all you want for your peoples future war or death, you claim to not be of my people but more Keltaken blood seems to run through yours then ever could mine my dear." he took the strange food and started to much on it showing a strange row of 6 razor like teeth hid themselves behnd what seemed like human ground teeth in the front. "Karraka lost his family to one of your races first attacks on mine, in the end i could debate morality again and again coming up with reasons for why I think what I do but in the end it is little more then a grain of salt to you" He smiled at the irony of the situation and simply walked around looking at the humans before shaking his head, "Many of you are scared, some hateful, some a mixture of the two, you hold such hatred for my people because of what we have done and rightly so. You have grown up in a age of violence and your entire species up until recently has mostly fraught one another. That was until the little treaty that destroyed the former government of earth and for a time it was held between you and your long lost brothers in Triangulum. I am not your enemy, some keltakens want peace, we have been killed for wanting peace for wanting to end bloodshed. Do you think you are the first race to ever be fought to near extinction? You won't be the last my friends. Captain i want you to see something if you will, to show you how keltakens live and if not you then an observer though to show you true Keltaken society I must warn you that you will be on Karrak's flagship. If anything should come to harm your observer or yourself i will personally break my oath and end the traitors life, all I ask is a chance for you to understand why we fight, why we are forced to fight. In exchange I offer my son, for if i am not able to stop Karraka and his bloodshed he will slaughter the Darthans as he would any other race which i cannot allow."

Seeing his superior step out from the transport, Radford made a quick salute, which Wood returned. Radford considered the situation of Colonials and Drathians, and decided it would probably be best to speak to Wood formally. He said in a welcoming tone, “Keeper Three. A pleasure to see you, sir. I didn't expect you planet side.”
Wood replied quickly, “Think nothing of it, Phantom Thirteen. Director Silva may have assigned you to rescue the sovereigns, but she sent me to ensure your success. I’ll be collaborating with the Colonials and the Drathian Spymaster Taka. My job is to share and explain information we find, and to better relay their wishes to you.”
Wood had taken a weapon from the Colonials, but he didn't plan on using it. He wasn't used to ballistic weapons, and the agent knew he had no idea how to handle such concepts such as wind resistance and gravity when firing. He would stick instead to his hands and feet, which had killed and battered dozens of dissidents over his career in Intelligence. He also noted the way the Keltakens were hunting the escape pods, and didn't disapprove. Recording the occupants’ death was obviously crass, but the scum who had selfishly disrupted Drathian tranquility and killed innocent bystanders deserved nothing less than their own end.
Wood didn't mention any of this though. His job was to facilitate cooperation, and he would do just that. As for Radford, he was thinking about the new arrivals. He hadn't expected his boss planet side, but it was a good indicator of dedication. He hoped he wouldn't get into any arguments with the Colonial force. Radford turned to the Colonial officer, made a deep bow, and said evenly, “Welcome, Lieutenant. I’m Terence Radford of Imperial Intelligence. I hope we can work together in the coming mission.”

"Keltaken blood? You're funny. The humans have always been violent and warmongering, always fighting among ourselves. But at least we tried to suppress our own nature. We tried to fight against it. The Federated Colonies are the best example of that. A free interstellar nation, where all races can enjoy freedom and equality. But you Keltakens? Ever since the Human Colonial Alliance firstly made the contact with you, you've always done the same bloody things. We tried to correct the mistakes of our ancestors, you continued the mistakes of your ancestors. That is the difference between us.", Retia calmly answered. "Yes, we have all grown up in an age of violence. But even so, Mankind was so close to achieving peace. But then, you Keltakens intervened, continuing the cycle of death and hatred. You're the only ones at fault for the current state of this galactic group. And trust me, there is nobody here who would believe that you want peace. Every time the Colonies wanted peace, the Keltakens only continued their hostilities. The Treaty of the Moon, which was supposed to end up good, ended with your Empress sending an ultimatum to us, forcing us to abandon our brothers and sisters in this galaxy. That was the moment which finally broke most of the chances of peace between our races."
Retia then once again looked at Daga with a little disgust. Under normal circumstances, she would have never agreed to go on a filthy Keltaken ship, but that might just help her find some more stuff about the Keltaken military... it was worth it. "Alright, I shall come onto your ship, as long as I can return back to the Hindenburg before the Hegemon returns. But beware, if one of your filthy race even tries to do something to me... in accordance with all intergalactic wars, it will be an act of war against the Federated Colonies. And the Hindenburg won't hesitate to respond with all weapons, including nuclear warheads." The blue eyed girl then made a short pause. "Trust me, we don't want to see the Drathians slaughtered either. Not because they would be worth saving, those bastards have only ever shown ingratitude to the Colonies and their sacrifices. But if the Drathians would be slaughtered now... it would be just a waste of the reason for why our fathers and forefathers have died for."
The Colonial officer didn't bow, but she saluted in the way of the Colonial military, with the clenched fist over the heart. "Greetings, Herr Radford. I'm Lise Wedelkind, Lieutenant in the Colonial War Fleet. I sure do hope that we can work together in this mission.", the purple eyed Colonial girl said. "Because trust me, it would be bad for everyone involved if something would happen to the Hegemon... it would be an affront the Federated Colonies wouldn't take lightly."

I can understand if you do not wish to do this, however I'm sure the knowledge you could gain if only militarily will be more then worth it."

"Five years? Who knows if the Colonies would still exist in five years? My allegiance lies with the Federated Colonies, and we are currently in the greatest war we have ever been. I can't simply abandon my comrades in arms, my nation, and my Hegemon, to go for five years on a tour on Keltaken ships. As the Executive Officer of the temporary flagship of the Colonial War Fleet, I have a duty to perform. And without the express accord of the Hegemon, serving on foreign ships is an act of treason.", Retia said. "If this time would be reduced to let's say, a few weeks on one vessel, another few weeks on the other, it wold be much more acceptable. But even if the knowledge I would gain would be worth it, I can't accept something that's more than double the compulsory military service of the Colonies."

"Then it will be 6 weeks time, 3 weeks on a vessel manned by the men of Karraka, and another 3 weeks on ship of my men. You will get to see the differences and the cultural aspects of out society as my son will get to see yours. This way we may learn and perhaps show that we are not as different, one is just more depserate for suvivial then the other. I wonder if you will discover which that is while among us. We can begin the exchange whenever you are ready, I am sure your Hegemon will be return to your ship soon as well."

The Keltaken response to the Grand General was taken very poorly by the Drathian high council. No, none of their number consisted of the Fylkja, but they were indeed someof the leaders of the Drathian people. As such, the situation to them, looked as if the Keltakens were blatantly ignoring the pact between the Drathians and Keltakens, as well as killing Drathian citizens in revolt. Until the Fylkja awoke from her coma, nothing could be done about it. The damage was done, however, and those who previously had positive opinions about the Keltakens, in hopes that the war faring civilization could be reformed and retaught, lost those sentiments.
The people of the Fylkirate, nay, both the Fylkirate and its rebel counterpart, also resented the Keltaken refusal to stop killing unarmed combatants. As the videos of the killing of prisoners was broadcast, there was public outcry from both sides, not out of fear of who the Keltakens would kill next, but out of anger that the Keltakens dare resort to such terrorism to garner the influence they needed for an enemy surrender. It could be said, then, that the brutality of the Keltakens, just as it had in the past, helped mend the schism between the Drathian people as they all had the ability to turn face towards a common enemy.
Needless to say, the move on the Empire's behalf fared very badly for the Keltakens living within Drathian space. In both rebel territory, and the Fylkirate, Keltakens were dragged from their homes and beaten to death in the streets, or were even locked in their houses as the buildings were burned down by angry mobs of raving Drathian extremists. The videos had sparked something horrible, actual open hostility on part of the Drathians, something that was previously unseen since the initial Keltaken invasion, and the outbreak of the first Intergalactic War. Without the Fylkja to soothe them and calm their nerves, the patience that the Drathian people were always so renown for having, came to a sudden and untimely end.
While the official government of the Drathians sheepishly made no response to the Keltaken killing videos, the rebels were not so quick to tuck their tails between their legs. They sent a transmission to Karraka, and if opened, the butcher would be met with a sight that may strike a nerve. It was a Keltaken, beaten and bloodied, with missing teeth and an eye swollen shut by multiple hard strikes across the face. He opened his mouth, as if he were to speak, but was delayed by a metal clawed foot smashing his head against the floor, and wrapping around his skull. The face of the torturer could not be seen. There was only a gruff laugh, before the claw lifted the Keltaken's head off of the ground, before smashing it against the floor once again, this time with enough force to send his brains splattering across the camera. The transmission cut.
If the Keltakens knew anything about Drathian war customs, the video was not a threat as much as it was a challenge.
Drathian Surface The Drathian officer, with his hands crossed behind his back, spun on his heel and towards the Citadel, which loomed a ten minute's walk away. "I'm glad you could all make it. You'll find the Spymaster in the Citadel's ground floor, she's likely in the meeting room with the rest of the High Council." Looking over his shoulder, the Drathian offered a half hearted smile. "If you would all follow me, that'd be wonderful." Without much else to say, he began walking towards the capital building, where the government, afraid and disfunctional, awaited them.

"If you would all follow me, that'd be wonderful." Without much else to say, he began walking towards the capital building, where the government, afraid and disfunctional, awaited them. This was exactly what Karraka wanted, an excuse, an excuse to destroy and excuse to butcher. He knew full well that this would happen and because of these actions the Darthans had allowed for even more violent actions to be taken. In truth Karraka cared little for casualties as he always had, they where a number. All Keltakens simply a number in the greater grand scheme of things. "Take a course the rebel capital and charge weapons on the purge vessels, we will give no warning and we will simply blow the planet up as a retaliation. If they seek, loyalist or rebel to want to attack our citizens then simply things will continue! For the glory of the Imperium we will torch and burn their planets one by one the Darthans have destroyed our honor by forcing their blasted treaty and now we will make them pay. We will destroy them without mercy and without remorse. They are doing just as anticipated, though they seek a different path with that damned abomination of a flower we will set it aflame...For the glory of the imperium." With the sudden rage of the Darthans Daga's second in command was desperatly looking for a solution that was when they where forced to come up with the conclusion that while they had to follow Karraka and support him, they had to find a way to take him down and stop this madness. Currently they could find none but requested that the loyalist government do what they can to protect keltaken citizens saying quote "Karraka acts on his own, he does not carry the support of the Keltaken government and will be dealt with harshly, we cannot begin to apologize for his acts, it however must be made clear Karraka wants this reaction to increase the threat level of the situation to the empire. If these acts continue we will be unable to stop him and he will be sadly justified in his actions to protect Keltaken citizens. At current we are working on a way to disable his power as he has blocked all communications from high command and invoked the right of Vengence, until we learn of his intentions we can do little to stop him by our laws. If possible we will turn him over to you...His blood will hopefully end this conflict but hopefully this shall not come to pass."

Drathian Surface "Alright, we shall follow you to the Spymaster. Lead the way.", the Colonial officer girl said, as the Colonials followed the Drathians. The Colonial soldiers and officers, wearing their dark nanosuits and uniforms, showing off that they belonged to the branch of the Colonial Armed Forces being directly and only under the command of the Hegemon of the Federated Colonies, walked with confidence, even if they were in a place which might be dangerous. The Hegemon wasn't only the leader of the Colonies, but for many, including Lise and Retia, he was their savior. And if one thing was sure, no matter what had to be done, the crew of the Hindenburg wasn't going to abandon the Hegemon here. Even if they would have to fight both the Drathians and the Keltakens, they were going to save him, no matter what.
C.M.S. Hindenburg "Six weeks sounds much better, but I would like to have the right to end it and return to the Colonies whenever I want. If something happens that requires me to go back to serving the Colonies while I'm gone, I will return, no matter what.", Retia said."I also want to request to spend the first three weeks on of your ships. I already know how filthy the Keltakens are, so you'll have a good opportunity to try to change my opinion."

The two Imperial agents followed quietly, noting the determined attitudes of the Colonials present. Wood also wondered what it would be to speak with Spymaster Taka. The two had never met, and he expected it would be interesting to meet the Intelligence commander of another civilisation. He knew the Director had met Taka at the botched peace conference aboard the Astral Flame, and wondered if Taka would remember the encounter with Intelligence.

Surface of DrathiaThe humans, both Confederate and Colonial alike, were brought to the capital building of the entire Drathian Fylkirate, the Citadel. It looked like something out of a story book meant for children. Towering stone walls, topped by armed turrets and with creeping green vines running up their sides were located at each of the star shaped fortresses six corners. The courtyard, surrounded by a similar stone wall, was vivid with the bioluminescent plant life of Drathia. Thick stalks with glowing bulbs, and blooming flowers whose petals raidated with all varieties of colour were abundant. Of course, in the center of it all was the pride of the Drathian people. The pinnacle of their technological achievement. The Mind Flower. As the party grew near, they could hear the thousands, nay, millions of whispers sounding softly from the great trunk of the plant. Each voice individually distinguishable, yet at the same time, blended in with the chorus of unintelligible whispers. Also noticeable was the ocean blue skinned Drathian, who sported similarly blue hair which fell over her left eye. She smiled at the approaching guests, folding her arms behind the small of her back as was formally customary. She wore a black uniform, like that of a military officer, though without the usual badges and decorations save one. A purple eye, the award given to the head of Drathian intelligence. "Welcome. Welcome." Said Spymaster Taka, grinning to reveal her rows of razor sharp teeth. "I hope you all had an easy time coming down here. I know with that rebel buisiness, it must have been hard navigating a route. Ah, but they are gone now. In no small part due to both of your aid." She tilted her head curiously, staring down the Colonial officer with her orange eye. "You'll be pleased to know that the Hegemon is safe. As is another important official who, I hope you will agree, we are both happy to see back." At that, she offered a sly, knowing wink.

As they were brought to the Drathian capital city, the Colonials were genuinely surprised. It was like if out of a story book, one of those books the children were reading. A star shaped fortress, with tall walls, and green vines running up on them. It was just... so different, compared to how cities look back in the Colonies. In the Colonies, the cities were large, filled with technology and industry. Tall skyscrapers, concrete, metal. Everything was synchronized by computers. Of course, there were large differences between different planets and systems, since the Colonies were very varied, but especially the cities in the worlds under the direct influence of Xalion looked very much like that. And plants.. it wasn't as if the Colonies had something against nature or anything. But since they were already more than able to terraform planets and create oxygen without plants, the humans especially had started to slowly give up on their efforts on keeping their worlds green. They had much better things to do. And Xalion itself had almost no plants left, the ones that existed before being slowly killed off by the pollution. The Citadel was filled with color, Xalion was a dark world, covered by polluted clouds, illuminated artificially, with golden particles of Opilium infesting the air. The Citadel had the Mind Flower in the middle, while in the middle of the supercity on Xalion, the Colonial Parliament was standing tall. The Citadel was a symbol of union of the Drathian people. But just as the buildings of Xalion were stained in the polluted dust, the original ideals of the Colonies had been stained in corruption and decline...
As the Colonials stopped in front of Spymaster Taka, the two Colonials to step forward where the blonde haired Colonial girl, and the Genome user officer, standing out as usual, wearing a business looking suit instead of the usual Colonial uniform spotting the clear white angel-like wings of the first generations of Genome users. One could say that Angelo hadn't changed at all from that time back, at the meeting on board the C.S.S Astral Flame, the meeting that had gone so wrong. But right now, the Colonials were here for something else. They clearly weren't that welcome on Drathia either. And Angelo, just as usual, remained quiet, leaving his superiors to speak.
"It wasn't a difficult journey. At least, nobody directly opened fire on us.", the purple eyed Colonial girl said to the Drathian."We're glad that everyone is alright. The situation has gotten out of hand far too quickly for us to be effectively able to do something about it.... ." The girl then smiled."We must apologize that we simply stood and watched the rebels though. Unfortunately, the terms of the Treaty had forbidden us to military intervene in any place of the Andromeda, but rest assured, if the situation would have really gotten out of control, we would have helped. We wouldn't have let Drathia fall, even if we would have had to do something dangerous."

While walking to the Citadel, the two Imperial agents took note of their surroundings. Wood smiled tightly as he took in the Drathian city and planet. It was a textbook example of natural beauty, and a unique sample of city living in harmony with nature. Drathia was different from Karsopolis. While the Confederate capital had forests of bright and dark green that covered the planet. They also had deep, clean oceans teeming with life. Like on Drathia, the trees towered into the clouds. But there were vast differences. Karsopolis was forest, while Drathia was jungle. The lightning, darkness, and rain were eternal on Karsopolis, while today was a sunny and colourful day in Drathia. And the biggest difference, Radford noted, Drathia was warm.
The cities were different as well. While Karsopolis had nature to go with its numerous urban centres, they didn't commune with nature like cities on Drathia. The Confederate cities lived beside nature, not in tune with it. Instead of plants flourishing just beyond the walls, they grew over and through them. The greenery from the plants, the perfume from the thousands of flowers along the wall, and the harmony of elements was fascinating. Radford was noting it all in his extensive memory, intending to share what he had seen with others upon his return.
And then both agents snapped out of their trance, returning to the moment. They listened to the words of Spymaster Taka, and the Colonials as well. After Taka had spoken, Radford chose to remain silent and allow Wood to speak. The older agent had more experience with interaction, and would be the better to speak as the superior officer. Wood said warmly, "Thank you for your concern, Spymaster Taka. The journey was without much trouble. We're also relieved that the rebels are gone." He then added, "Intelligence arrived a bit late to directly intervene in the battle, but our aid was available if you had needed it. We were also prepared to protect Drathia from other parties." Wood referred to Karraka's Inquisition with this, but didn't say so directly. He expected the others would work out the reference.
"And it is a relief to hear all officials are safe." Wood suspected Taka referred to Zlasa, but didn't want to indicate any sort of mistake. He would let Taka continue and confirm his hopes. "But we came to assist and defend Drathia and the Fylkirate in any way possible. My resources of Intelligence are yours to command."
