"You don't have to thank us.", Captain Holland said in a light Colonial accent."In such a situation, of course that any Colonial ship would have helped you. We can't let civilian refugees suffer like that, even if they are part of a foreign race. Oberstleutnant Krause then continued."There is no problem. The Captain can of course, go and rest. Any High diplomatic discussions can wait. The thing we're interested in is the ones who attacked you. What can you tell us about them? The Colonial Wehrmacht can't allow the existence of such an aggressive race behind our enemy lines, while we're at war."

VC Angau nodded, pointing to one of the doors out of the hangar area.
"Very well, you will want to speak with the 67th Infantry. They were on the planet and witnessed our attackers firsthand. Ensign Willems here will take you to them in the Rec Room. The Captain and I will take our leave now."
With a salute, Angau went to escort Duvall to a bed and some food, leaving the guarad that had come along with the Colonials. He saluted and went to escort the Colonials away to the Rec Room.
"Right! Follow me, please."

"Alright. The Zentraloberkommando itself is interested in this, so any information on what attacked you would be really welcome.", Captain Holland said. "We'll follow you. Please lead the way."
With that, Captain Holland and Obersleutenant Krause followed Ensign Willemns.

The Colonials are led through cluttered corridors toward the Rec room. Refugees and crew members are hurriedly running back and forth, ferrying supplies to various parts of the ship. Every room is teeming with all kinds of people; labourers, rich people, fishermen and more. The group eventually reached a cramped recreation room turned into a temporary infirmary, where several soldiers were holed up, helping tend to their fellow wounded troops. Ensign Willems allows them into the room, saluting before leaving. One of the soldiers came over, saluting to the Colonials.
"Sergeant Esbern, reporting. You are from the savior ships, correct? How can I be of help?"

"Nice to meet you, Sergeant Esbern.", the blonde Colonial man said. "Yeah, we're from those ships. I am Captain Sven Holland and this is Obersleutnant Sophia Krause. We're from die Koloniale Kriegsflotte.". Both Holland and Krause saluted in the usual Colonial way, with their clenched fists over their chests. "We would like to know as much as possible about the ones who had attacked you. The Central High Command of the Colonies isn't going to allow xenocidal and aggressive races to go rampant through this space, and since we're at war, we can't allow possible hostiles to exist behind our main lines."

"Hulking beasts, they are. Hairy, noisy, foul smelling. Completely thick-headed, too. If it weren't for their relentless numbers, I doubt they would've gotten very far. We've done a few reports and confirmed that a lot of their equipment, especially ships, are stolen. Too much variety, too much pre-war damage. They make themselves stronger with every victory. Every gun, tank, ship we lost, it became theirs. They even feed on the dead in some cases.... I'm afraid you'll find little else from anyone alive, many of us barely got a look at them before we were overwhelmed. Sorry, sirs."
The Sergeant saluted briefly, before looking back to the Rec Room.
"We might not have much left... but there are plenty of us who'd love to give those damn things some payback for all they've done. We'd be glad to join you in helping to take them out."

"That vaguely sounds like a certain race we have met before.. let's hope this is not the case. Thank you for your help, Sergeant.", Captain Holland said. Even Obersleutnant Krause seemed a little worried. While the description wasn't the same, the general way of fight of this race seemed somehow similar to the Invaders. The chances that another race, using stolen material, that resurrected the dead of the enemy, also existed were pretty small. Hopefully, it was the Invaders though. At least the Colonials already had a vague knowledge of their tactics. But Invaders or not, they were a danger to the safety of the front of the entire sector. Die Z.O.K. certainly wasn't going to ignore this. "Any help would be much appreciated. We'll probably try to get rid of those things, whatever they were.", the blonde captain said. "Could you please take us back to the Captain or the Vicecaptain?"

"Understood, sir." The sergeant saluted, leading the group to the bridge where VC Angau is stood, overlooking supply distribution amongst the many, many ships, as well as figuring out what he had combat-wise. He turned to the group as they arrived, saluting.
"Ah, you've returned. Thank you sergeant, you're dismissed. How can I help you all? The Captain is getting her much needed rest, so I'm in full control of the flotilla."

"Well, since there is a high possibility that the Colonial Armed Forces could attack the race that has attacked your people,", the blonde Captain Holland said as he and Obersleutnant Krause arrived at the bridge, "I would like to request, if possible, as much data and records about the enemies, your system and your planet that your people currently hold. Going in blind would be a big mistake. With a little bit of information, we could convince the Central High Command of the necessity of such an operation. Anything would be appreciated."
Then, Obersleutnant Krause continued. "Also, we would like to inform you that the Federated Colonies are willing to accord help and asylum to all members of the Wakuran race, in complete accord with the galactic laws and the Articles of Colonization."

"Ah, of course. I'll send out a message to the fleet, and get them to compile whatever data they have into one document which I will send to you. As for our people, most of our ships are overburdened with refugees. Being able to distribute as many of them into allied cities and settlements would be a substantial relief and a boost to morale. I'll also see about gathering anyone I can who woukd be availabke for military service at the same time. I'll need to know just how many guns I have at our command and if we can outfit some more of our ships for combat"
He began organising his orders to the fleet, tapping at a number of consoles.
"Oh, and if any other surviving Wakurans are discovered by you, it woukd be a great help if they were either brought here or protected. I doubt that the fleet zwas the only thing to escape that war."

"It won't be the first time the Federated Colonies help races in distress. The Colonial Evacuation and Resettling Division is quite experienced. We're going to help you by relocating refugees to suitable planets, and help with supplies until you manage to organize yourself. As in accordance with the Artciles of Colonization, the federal budget has parts allocated for helping situations like this.", Captain Holland explained. Probably the best known example was when the Colonies had evacuated a large part of the Drathians on Dratheim. " We will transmit that message to the Oberkommando, who will send it to all Colonial military units in the sector. Any other Wakuran that will be found will be protected and possibly brought to the fleet.", Oberstleutnant Krause said."We'll also try to repair and resupply your ships. Would you be able to help the Kriegsflotte in the case of an attack in your system?"

"Of course, in a few hours I will have all of my combat ready ships and personnel documented, and will see to it that they are ready for active duty. Again,I must thank you for all you've done for us."

200 kilometers away from the Wakuran Flotilla, a single arkship, the Shadow Of Shakuras, warped in. The massive 100 kilometer long starship carried with it a large cache of solarite, apparently which they found and mined over a course of weeks. In its hangars, it held carrier and Void Ray squadrons galore, poised to protect the massive ship if an attack ever comes.
Praetor Kultaroth, one of the high-ranked Shadow Templar, commands the ship. He is one of the commanders of the ship before Selderis was killed by explosions in the bridge, and now he suceeded her as commander.
"Praetor, Colonial ships as well as unknown flotilla 200 kilometers away. Shall I send out a message?"
"Send out a message informing them of our presence and purpose."

Again,I must thank you for all you've done for us." "Well, let's make sure first that all your refugees are safely settled before you thank us.", Captain Holland said. "The Colonial ships in the system, including the Atlantis, shall escort your ships to the system the Federated Colonies have decided to give to you. There, the refugees and whatever civilians you want to send will be settled on a planet, a planet that shall be ceded by us to you and your people. After the civilians are properly settled and supplied, we can also offer assistance to your military and your ships in terms of supplies and repairs, for as much as we can do. Meanwhile, the Central High Command will decide on the possibility of a Colonial attack in the sector where your homeworld was, and we will inform you on everything that is planned."

"A.. System to colonize? Ah, you are far too kind, helping us settle anew like this. Truly, we will try to repay your kindness when we can in the future. For now though, take us to this system. Supplies have been effectively distributed now, with only..." Angau briefly stopped to check a terminal. "...2 riots and 13 injured, no deaths. Looks like your timing was perfect. I doubt the Captain could've kept us going much longer..."
