Invader siege The Drathian Vikingr force started to withdraw once the initial shock of their attack had faded. It was, after all, only a raiding party, and they had acquired quite the catch. Weapons, ammunition, and their ultimate goal, the complete redeployment of enemy artillery, which would take precious hours to set up again.
Just as it seemed that the Drathians had dispersed in the forests, a second force emerged from the thicket, this time without beasts, but from the vantage point of the branches. A team of snipers had been deployed at the Invader's relocated artillery station to pick off the artillery operators, and further prevent the enemy from utilizing their most valuable asset.
Location of the black marker Not a few minutes later, the main army made itself known. With Sigma and her men at the spot of the raid, the Drathians made use of the distraction to launch a full scale assault at the position of the black marker. If they could disable that, then perhaps they could save the planet.
Led by the twin commanders Krix and Axua, the assault was two pronged, first with a hail of sniper fire coming from the trees in the east and west, followed by the mobilization of heavy infantry. They advanced slowly, making sure to utilize all cover possible to avoid being ripped to shreds by the Invader FLAKS. Fighting in a jungle, it was not very hard to do. Darting ahead of the heavy troopers, in the treetops, were light infantry. Their task was to descend behind engaged enemy lines, and take out the operators of the mounted machine guns to give the ground assault more breathing space.

Ahuna was dazed and largely out of it, meekly struggling as she failed to understand what was going on around her. Most of the Sein'Hae were dead or lost, and those still left on the planet were in for a rough time. Those that had escaped with the Jupiterrans were quiet, solemn and lost. In but a day, they had lost everything. Their home, their families, their purpose. One brave Sein'Hae hunter spoke to a Jupiterran, asking what was to become of them now that most of their race was gone.
By the time they were away from the system, Ahuna had recovered a little, though she looked sickly and emotionless. She had joined the rest of her race, sitting silently and looking at nothing in particular. She was cold, ill and struggling to cope with what had happened.
------------
Making themselves known against the Invaders were the Metalshell vehicles and their accompanying hunters, which rumbled through the treelines and began firing on the Invaders, hoping that they could draw most of the fire away from the other forces attacking. Even though their vehicles were big targets, their combination of protective foliage surrounding them and their excellent camouflage made them still hard to locate.

JSRF Akatsuki
Rafael disengaged himself from the terminal, as the remaining crew began to get into a routine. Vaccination of the Sein'Hae has to take priority, but they were mostly shocked.
"We will ensure that the Sein'Hae will continue to live. You might be few, but... we will ensure that you will find a home with us in the stars." The Jupiterran crewman replied to a hunter. "You shall all start life anew with us, building homes, hunting, going out in the stars. Don't worry, we will not leave you all alone."
Rafael slowly walked to Ahuna, who was still dressed in the clothes he last saw her before their consummation of their bonding. He held a small vaccination kit, but has no desire to use it without Ahuna being fine.
"Hey... hey." Rafael whispered as he sat next to her. "You took quite a big hit just now... How are you feeling now?

"Hurt..." She looked up at Rafael with dazed eyes; she wasn't all there at the moment. "Look at how few of us escaped..."
She turned her attention toward the remaining Sein'Hae, then back to Rafael, on the verge or breaking down into tears. She eventually turned her head back to Rafael, speaking far quieter. "Can we... Go somewhere pr... private? Sitting here... isn't helping."

Rafael gave Ahuna a sympathizing look, before helping her to get up on her feet. "Alright. But I'll get you vaccinated first before you say another thing." It was not a question, rather, a statement. Leading Ahuna to his room on board the cruiser, Rafael placed Ahuna on his bed as he prepared the needle and vaccine. To prevent them from killing each other with disease, a minor injection has to be done.
It was over in less than a minute, as Rafael held on to the small puncture on Ahuna's arm. The girl was biting on a small padded roll, her eyes tightly shut. Rafael smiled as he stroked her rough hair, allowing her to come around by herself.
"We're alone now, and the vaccination is done. Are you feeling better now Ahuna? The pain should go away in a while."

Unfortunately for everyone still resisting on the planet, most of the Invader's artillery were SPG's, self-propelled artillery or mobile rocket launching platforms, hovering or using their tracks to move and advance, depending on their type, pretty fast, lightly armored, and mobile. That meant that after retreating from the location of the raid, the artillery units just had to clean up a small portion of the woods, and were almost ready to deploy again. It didn't take long for the Invaders to realize that there were snipers inbound, and while the artillery operators were getting things ready inside of the SPG's, Invader snipers entered the conflict, taking advantage of the camouflage knowledge the Marker had accumulated from the natives, and of their excellent sight. A part of the SPG's, already ready mounted, started to open fire without discrimination, firing from energy bolts to rockets at possible enemy positions.
At the location of the Black Marker, it probably was easy enough for the Drathians and their allies to get through the first lines, in the jungle. The situation changed though, when they had reached the village, that had been turned into something resembling a fortress by the Invaders.
The Marker was right in the center of the village, its energetic shields activated, covering it entirely. With the Drathians approaching, the white color of the markings on it quickly turned to red, just like the color of the energetic shields. The Drathians would soon start to feel as the Marker was trying to enter their minds, combined with the already usual aftereffects of dementia, insanity, and other symptoms that caused some of the Drathians to attacked their own comrades, depending on how strong their willpower was.
Protected by the energetic shields, there were lines after lines of trenches and foxholes, filled with the remains of the Invader forces, snipers included, and their allies, part using their own primitive weapons, part armed by modern standards, that had waited back to defend their village. Machine gun outposts were everywhere, lightly fortified. In the back, a small line of SPG's was ensuring artillery support on short term, including the dreaded Wurfrahmen rocket launching vehicles. Damaged tanks had been scrapped, and their turrets improvised in small defense bunkers.
While attacking, the Drathians had too pass through the enemy fire, from machine guns, SMG's, Panzerfaust's, turrets, survive the artillery fire, get through the mine fields, get through the barbed fire, and then finally get and possibly advance through trenches in a bloody close combat, all while their hits would be neutralized by the shields of the Marker, at least until they would pass them. And of course,in all this time, the temperature of the planet was continuously dropping, with now more than half of it white and dead.
It was a good time for the Drathians to realize how useless their efforts were..

She nodded slowly, removing the roll from her mouth and shuffling over to lean against Rafael. She let out a quiet sigh, her dazed state receding enough that she was at least thinking straight. She thought of the Marker's effects on her, how she had ended up hallucinating and lost barely any distance from her home, and the many images that were sure to haunt her for a while to come. It took her a while to speak up, in a quiet voice.
"Do you... Have anything I can wear? This garb needs cleaning... and repairing."

"Hm... I think I have something..."
Opening his cupboard, Rafael took a large t-shirt out, and judging from it's size, is almost as big as Ahuna's current dress. Greenish in colour, the front has the logo of the Jupiterran-Relikan Star Fleet. Pulling it out and showing it to Ahuna, the small Sein'Hae female could certainly use it as a top and skirt altogether.
"Well, how'd you like this?"

She looked it over, then nodded, quickly taking it from Rafael. She removed her current dress, dropping it aside, before putting on the shirt, looking it over again.
"Thank you, Raf... What do we do now...?"

No sooner, the Purifier platform in orbit detected the battles in the ground with its telescopes, and soon thereafter, it started firing down upon the Black Marker, even hitting it's energy shields with its anti-planetary beam(but obviously it's attack power was greatly reduced to prevent from killing Drathians), however, it had no effect, only wearing away quite a bit from the shield. It did not send out any ships, fearing the power of the Invaders.
The Eldari left down released 8 Hydroxyl elote fighters from their containment cells;12 feet tall hulking creatures that simply took in the attacks of the Invaders, sweeping them away in bundles with their powerful water-base attacks. However, as the temprature continued to drop, np sooner they had turned to ice. But this did nit hunder them;they soon became golems of ice, using ice and snow particles around them to regenerate any wounds(more like cracks). Invaders were crushed under the mighty hands of the the now ice-turned Hydroxyls.
Meanwhile, the Eldari High Templar cast psionic storms;however, not the ordinary type. Instead of controlling the storms, they allowed the storms to spiral out of control, creating a swath of destruction.

Rafael blushed sightly when the Sein'Hae undressed infront of him. Perhaps she did not realise, or perhaps she's still reeling from what's affecting her.
Shrugging, Rafael sat on the bed for a moment, realising that with Commander Klaudius dead, he was the next highest ranking personnel on board. He would have to take care of the ship's morale, as well as plot the next course of action. He would not have much time with Ahuna, unless...
"I'll take you around the ship. Come, Ahuna. Oh and erm..." Quickly moving to his cupboard, he retrieved a pair of exercise shorts. They would be tight for Rafael, but for Ahuna, it seemed like they would fit her comfortably.
"Once you're done, we'll tour the ship."

She looked over the shorts, deciding to put them on quickly, also carrying her sword on her back. Rubbing her arm, she went to follow after Rafael to tour the ship. She seemed to be getting better, though was still a little fatigued from the whole ordeal.

Site of the Marker The Drathians held their ground as they saw the intense defensesof the Invader troops. While they were using laughably outdated weaponry, such as the Panzerfaust and Wurfrahmen rockets, the Invaders had the edge in numbers and positioning. That is, until the Eldari bombardment began to hammer their trenches and the energy shields of the Marker. Watching the carnage ensue, the Drathians fired off their own artillery barrage at the enemy lines. Just as the humans of earth had learned those many centuries ago, artillery and trenches did not mix, at all.
It was in this moment, after a likely hole was punched in the Invader line, that the Drathians began to charge forward in a daring attack on the position. Their signifigantlly updated armour and weapons made it easy for them to begin culling the Invader troops in their way. Under the cover of artillery fire, and a smoke round deployed by their secondary batteries, the Drathians managed to get to the first trench line with little, if any, effort. The shielding and plating on their armour proved more than capable of absorbing the blows by the outdated Invader tech. Their quick advance was cut short, though, as their artillery had to stop and reload. Instead of charging to the second trench, they began to ensue in a bloody melee within the first. About half of the Drathian number ran back to the cover of the trees. Those who stayed behind in the mess of the trenches were just fine, as the Keltakens had learned, Drathians were experts in melee combat.
They unsheathed their weaponry, consisting usually of either close combat shotguns loaded with scattering energy bolts, or their melting hot energy blades. The Invaders could fire upon them with their own artillery, but that would only manage to completely destroy their trench. It was as if the Drathians were holding on to the testicles of their opponents, holding their very fortifications hostage. That, combined with the the telltale orange comets soaring directly towards the Invader shields that signified an orbital bombardment, made it seem that their efforts were hardly as pointless as was first thought.
Drathian Camp There was a loud hum coming from the Drathian camp as their first factories went online, powered by a temporary reactor fashioned from the power cores of the landing pods. Better infrastructure would have to be inputted later, though. What was important was that they had managed to scrounge up their first supply line. With this, they could readily begin supplying the front lines with fresh weapons and ammunition. The first of the factories, as dictated by Commander Krix before he left for battle, would begin the construction of armoured vehicles. They would be essential for destroying the Invader forces on the ground.
In Orbit The DSMC Spriggan, barely functional and out of fuel, finally made contact with the two reenforcing Drathian Murderers. The Iron II's had left for high command in Dratheim. Captain Xikcha, now safely aboard the DSMC Dragoon, lay in his hospital bed, coughing slightly. Standing above him was a nurse and two doctors who were checking his vitals.
"You're lucky to be alive." Said one of the doctors with his shark toothed smile. "We were sure that you would have died, the Spriggan had lost all sort of pressurization.." He faltered for a second, pursing his lips. "You're uhh, the only survivor of the ship.."

Reinforcing the Drathians strike force, the many Sein'Hae still fighting also closed the distance on the Invaders, they too being proficient in close range combat. Whilst their weaponry was lackluster compared to the Drathians, they had a higher number of fighters, doing their best to cover for and defend the Drathians. The Metalshell vehicles began focusing fire on the Marker, pummelling it with shells and rockets in an attempt at damaging it.
The great beast of that had divided the earlier conflict heard the gunfire of the heavier weaponry deployed, and once again began making a charge straight toward the Marker, drawn by the explosions impacting it and the Sein'Hae fighter above, which utilised its speed and sound to lure the beast into hitting the Marker.
Amongst the Invader forces were the Bloodbeaks and their numerous captured kin, fighting to repel the enemy with their fearless nature and close quarters knowledge. Their numbers were becoming thin though, even as many of them were brought back under Invader control. Many of them were wounded heavily rather than than being killed by the attacking Sein'Hae, most of whom were finding it harder to kill their more agile and tougher kin than the Invaders.

The Akatsuki was a cruiser, but still retained several properties common within all Jupiterran ships. Rafael showed Ahuna the command center, the engine rooms, a recreational area where the other Sein'Hae were resting, and a small garden where fresh vegetables were grown. Meat on board was stored in a large cryo chamber, where the foods could last for two years and remain relatively fresh.
Rafael guided Ahuna by her arm all the way, keeping his presence near her at all times. He wondered how she would feel, but so far, she had no comments yet. However, Rafael still took the time to explain the features of every location to Ahuna. After the tour which took around three hours, with Rafael giving Ahuna time to experience and operate the virtual simulations of the components, the couple ended up in the cafeteria, with Rafael ordering a large steak for Ahuna, together with a herbal drink.
"So Ahuna." Rafael said, "How'd you find the Star-Strider so far?"
