Even while fighting against the two, and being pushed away from them, he clearly was trying to stay in an angle where one or the other would have a harder time hitting him. The advantage of a huge axe being swung around was that it did have a nice range, and would push enemies away, but that only worked if you didn't have allies by yourself to cleave through.
Archene took a steep jump backwards and muttered, his voice devoid even of the emotions he usually faked, "Hamiel, I need power... Take my blood." The vines on his forearm seemed to tighten even more on his forearm. Small amounts of static clearly coursed about the blades surface before he took a deep breath, silverish lines briefly glowed under his skin before peeling it away. Circuit-like patterns appeared through his body, though they could only be seen on his face. Soon enough, the lines stopped glowing.
He then dashed forward at an inhuman speed. The sudden acceleration considered, that should have destroyed a human's muscles, even if they were more, they should still get damaged. Even then the nanomachines in his body had work to do, and they were good at it. He quickly swung it his sword on diagonal slash aiming at the male twin; at the same time, the palm of the hand in the gauntlet, already open, pointed at the girl's arm and fired a laser beam of nearly riffle caliber. The strength of the laser even more clearly seem as the arm was thrown back with the recoil, even then he pressed forward, his sword's arm quickly retracting to attempt a trust at the boys head after the axe was deflected upwardly.

“Avenge them all!” Carver almost screamed as Sigma finished. As adrenaline and rage coursed through him, time seemed to slow down as his focus intensified. He noticed what Sigma was doing with the sword, and Carver leapt backward as he disengaged.
The officer then took a moment to really answer. The words before had been words of passion in the moment. He made sure to turn off his comm so only Sigma could hear him, and his troops wouldn't lose their morale. He also held up a hand, hoping Sigma would stop the battle briefly and listen to his answer. “Yes. You’ve killed a lot of people. But I’m fighting for their memories. With the death of my commander, my friends, and my lover, Scott Carver truly died with them long ago. What trained this company, what came to this world, was a hollow and broken man going through the motions, and doing a damned good job of it. I haven't cared about anything since Tau Volantis. Even so, all my life, I’ve been trained to do for others, no matter what I feel or how shattered I am. Sylvia made me give a damn again, the hope that there were people left in this universe to fight for. And I won't lie, when you told me what happened, that Helen was reborn, I really considered turning that scattergun on Archene instead of firing at you. But then I thought of Sylvia in connexion with others. I remember almost everyone you killed I knew, and you’ve killed a lot more people I don't know.”
He then decided to finish. “I don't know why I remembered all those people as we started to fight. But I’ve been reborn already. For the course of this fight and probably the end of m mortal life, all these souls have given this shell of a war machine purpose. I will fight in all their memories, as vigorously as if you were a Terran. All my heart, mind, body, and soul will go into fighting you. Embry gave you an easy time because he wasn't all there. Poisoned by drugs, and not fuelled by righteous anger, but an insatiable enjoyment of violence. His heart and soul weren't in that fight. First he did what he was trained to do, then he tried to survive. I’m going to present you a much greater challenge. If I still lose, I won’t be erased, because I will accept the change in the end. My purpose will be gone, I will have nothing left to live for, and I will die without argument to be truly reborn.” Carver ended as he raised his sword again, “But until my body and spirit are broken, we do battle!”
As for the commandos, they were doing well despite being outnumbered. Comrades continued to reload, and they continued taking a toll on the Invaders. As rockets fell, the heavier commandos took the hits, and used the last of their life to run for Invader lines as their armour was compromised. Their explosive ends destroyed much Invader cover. The others continued to fire, constantly thinning the numbers of the Invaders. Combat engineers deployed portable barricades and shield generators, behind which rested the occasional medical station. Other troops hurled grenades at the Invaders, cryonic for the heavy machine guns and trisilviate frags for the common horde. As for the commandos in melee combat, they fought with as much fervour as their Invader counterparts, as well as the same lack of pain. They knew pain, and what to do.
Hurt but no wound. Numbing agent one. Small wound and hurt. Cauterise with armour systems, numbing agent two. New skin could always be grafted later, so only numbing was needed. Moderate wound, numbing agents three to six. Major injury, numbing seven through nine, consider seeing medic. Death imminent, charge Invader lines on sprinter the, a stimulant for speed. And so the battle went on.

The girl was hit by the laser beam and fell to the floor, while the boy didn't manage to parry that hit in time... and his head was cut off, falling on the dead ground somewhere further away. Without an head now, with blood flowing out of his open neck, the boy made a few steps backward, as if he was about to fall.. before he caught on fire. As usual, the Ancient Swords were lethal to the bodies of the Invaders... a few mere moments later, the boy was only a pile of ash on the dead ground. The ground started to shake, as a ray of black energy erupted from the top of the distant White Marker. Meanwhile, the girl stood up, as the laser wound in her chest started to regenerate. Taking her axe from the ground, she rushed forward, attacking Archene from the back, and slashing the axe at his neck..
Sigma smiled as if she was mocking the Confederate, entering an attacking stance. "Then, if you are so inpatient to die, die already... I'm going to break both your body and your spirit, until you fall under the influence of the High Ones.... puny little humans like you should better know their place! " Moving forward quickly, the pink eyed Invader girl clashed with the Confederate, attacking furiously with harsh slashes and hits, pushing him backwards, not even letting him to breathe. Even if she was far from fighting at her true power, it was clear that Sigma was at least a little angry. And when she was angry... the survival chances of her enemies decreased dramatically.
Meanwhile, the battle continued, but the numbers of the Invaders didn't seem to decrease. On the other hand, as the fight attracted their attention, more and more dead Colonials appearing, surrounding the Confederates, and attacking...

Confirming their weakness to his sword certainly did nothing but making Archene glad. The faint sound of a little girl rushing with an giant axe, albeit hard to perceive, was immediately noticed by Archene. Quickly, he rolled forward before making a quick dash to gain distance before turning around. Taking a look a both the girl, and their surroundings. The girl's regeneration speed and tenacity didn't make him quite happy however, another attack like that couldn't be fired too soon, and doubtfully such would work again on her. It isn't too hard to dodge the shot once you know where it is coming from. Archene dashed towards the girl, suddenly he moved his glove forward, with the palm open clearly aiming at the girls head. A feint, as the hand would be retracted immediately after as Archene attempted to stab the girl's chest.
Meanwhile, at Carver's helmet's HUD, a small red timer began showing a countdown, a short one in fact. Doubtlessly, it had its uses. At the same time, he Acruani, who had only been attempting to keep enemies away from wounded units and refraining from letting the enemies advancing far too much, suddenly dashed just beyond the Confederate Vanguard. Blade-like spikes around their middle, around knee-height as they attempted to at least damage the enemy legs enough to take time for them to regenerate or outright remove them. After a first dash forward, they only kept moving to the sides, almost as if trying to push the enemy back. Hopefully this would give the Confederates a little while to breath.

“Do your worst,” Carver said evenly as he madly parried the strikes. He also noticed the death of one of the Abyssal children, and smiled behind his helmet. He was glad there was a trisilviate collar around his neck. And soon Archene might defeat the other. So Carver continued fighting, knowing he only had to hang on until Archene finished. He also noticed the countdown, but wasn't sure what it meant just yet. And so he continued fighting Sigma as their blades clashed loudly. Carver also said nothing. He had explained everything to Sigma, and now he thought about Helen, Embry, and all the others who had died at the hands of the Invaders.
Meanwhile, the Confederate commandos continued to fight like demons. They reloaded their weapons, aimed and fired into the horde. Others continued to clash hand to hand with the Invaders, and all of them were highly enhanced via chemical combat stimulants. They fought, and when near death, they charged into the horde.

Seeing Archene aiming his laser at her head, the Marker girl attempted to avoid it, without realizing that it was a feint... until it was too late. The big problem with huge axes compared to swords was that the swords were clearly much more mobile. That's why, as Archene feinted, and attacked with his sword, it was too late for the girl to attempt to parry it... and Hamiel pierced the girl's chest without hesitation. The girl dropped her axe, and gripped the blade with her other hand, as if she wanted to remove it... but it was far too late... she fell on the ground, and caught fire, only a pile of ash remaining a few moments later. Suddenly, the earth shook once again as the energy the White Marker was firing in the atmosphere became much larger, as if it would have been on the verge of explosion..
Meanwhile, as she was fighting with Carver, Sigma suddenly started to laugh. Not a normal laugh, an insane, broken laugh... and then, the pink eyed girl smiled. Carver was indeed a good fighter, but he was human. no matter what stimulants he would take... and now, the first locks on Sigma's power had been opened. Moving faster than the human could have possibly reacted, Sigma pushed him back with a series of furious attacks, before blocking the slash of his sword with her hand, gripping the blade and holding it as smoke started to get out of her hand, due to the contact with the trisilviate which was burning her skin... but Sigma was still laughing, looking at Carver... and while his sword was blocked, she used her sword into one swift move, the white, dead and bright blade piercing the lower part of Carver's torso without mercy. "Fighting with you was really nice, but I'm afraid that the games are over now..". Sigma then kissed him on the cheek. "See you later..~"
Removing her sword from Carver's torso, Sigma then pushed him back, cutting his right hand with the sword off, before the Confederate fell on the ground, bleeding. The white-pink haired girl looked at her sword's bloody blade for a few moments, before she took a little blood off it on her finger, sucking it and tasting the blood, before she smiled... and turned around to look at Archene.
"Oh my... what do we have here?~", Sigma asked, looking at the Acruani, before she laughed. In her back, somewhere, the Invaders had brought off two small FLAK's, the deadly four gunned Colonial AAU's, that had the the great advantage of being able to be used against ground targets too, slaughtering the Confederates and the Acruani spiders with their quick and deadly fire. "A little old Acruani..... wielding Hamiel... this will be interesting.." Sticking out her tongue at Archene and smiling again, Sigma rushed forward..

The Acruani spiders were hit time and time again by the bullets, strangely though, while most were destroyed in less than 10 seconds under fire, making a small explosion at where they were splattering the silverish nanomachines around, which seemed to consumed themselves and disappear in a few seconds. Strangely though two of the spiders, seemed to just reform themselves to a working shape as the bullets hit them. Both of them jumped towards the FLAKs, but sadly, even with their speed, both FLAKs were able to hit the core inside them once they were in the air, despite how close the Acruani had gotten to the FLAKs. While the explosion may have done very little to the FLAKs (or not), the nano machines that splattered over them rather than consuming themselves when destroyed corroded the metal rather briefly, if they wanted to keep firing without destroying their machines. They should repair any damage first. Hopefully, this would allow a few Confederates to survive, at least a while longer.
Archene was personally happy that destroying the Markers' bodies had made the White Marker as unstable as it looked, all he needed now was half a moment. But even as he activated the other mechanism in his glove, he heard Sigma speaking to him. Having her attention would only, delay further plans. Regardless, it was already too late for anything to be stopped. He smiled back at Sigma, with a smile that seemed to betray some kind of happiness before Archene jumped back as far as he could. His gloved arm briefly pointed at the White Marker, and released a very strong EMP. Or at least, seemed to do that. Though the Invaders might not have many electronics here, any electronic device within half a mile would in the least short-circuit. With exception, devices prepared for that. Even certain parts of the Confederate suits were affected, though their helmets seemed to work perfectly.
What happened to the White Marker immediately as the EMP hit it, was nothing short of the most powerful cyber-attack ever executed by an Acruani, though not by far. It was a simple attempt to introduce the small bit of code that made an Acruani, Acruani. The small bit of code that made every single Acruani loyal to the Collective. If it worked, it wouldn't even matter to Archene if his body was destroyed. The Mission would be complete in its most perfect way. Though he wasn't sure how the ships were faring in space, as long as the Invaders didn't bring reinforcements, they should have been able to hold on until now, at least in this system.
If he couldn't control the White Marker though... well, such thoughts didn't appear in his mind. If he couldn't now, he had the rest of Acruani existence to try again. Getting combat data against Sigma wouldn't even be wise as well, as he was noticing that the degeneration rate of his muscles kept raising... and that soon enough the nanomachines wouldn't be able to keep up. At most, he would be able to exchange a handful of blows with Sigma as is, if Sigma's specs didn't get even higher at least.

As Carver felt the blade pierce him, he was hit by an overwhelming sense of shock. As adrenaline continued to course through his veins, time seemed to slow down and the battle seemed to become distant. Carver looked across the floor, surprised to see his left hand lying there, still clutching the trisilviate vibrosword. He thought it was strange he felt little, but there was a strong and short flash as his armour tried to cauterise the stump. He also tried to hang on to life, wanting to see the outcome of the battle. Despite his efforts, Carver felt like his insides were ablaze where the blade had pierced.
Suddenly, an apparition appeared. It was something like the form he remembered of Specialist Helen Coleridge, but very different. Carver’s fiancée looked rejuvenated and perfected. In life, her body had been bulky and shapeless, covered constantly by armour. Her exquisite lines and curves had only been unveiled in private, quiet moments. But now Helen wore a new uniform, and it emphasised her naturally riveting figure. Her blonde hair had also turned a snowy white. Helen’s fair skin had lightened to a paler shade, and her smile (or was it a smirk?) sparkled like stars. Even her eyes, green during life, were now an icy blue. The phantom appeared to move closer to Carver, and said in an oddly angelic voice, “Hello, darling. It’s been some time since I saw you last. Tau Volantis.”
“Yes,” Carver answered weakly. “You look good.” He then added when it occurred to him, “How are you here with me?”
Helen laughed as she answered, “The answer is very simply really. You see, I’m inside your mind. Weakened as you are, I can go deeper than Sigma. I can go right in and speak with you telepathically since your defences are down. Not to mention your mind didn’t guard much against me. You loved me then and now. Soon we’ll be together again. Are you ready?”
“I am,” Carver answered sincerely. “I’ve wanted to die every day since Tau Volantis. The physical pain is nothing, but losing people hurts. But soon we’ll be together, and we’ll never part again. We’ll be perfect and everlasting.” When he had gathered strength to keep speaking, Carver concluded, “Go ahead. I’ll join you soon enough. I only have to die.”
With that, Helen’s apparition smiled once more, and vanished. Despite this, Carver felt closer to her as the life force drained out of him. He hoped Archene and the others would be alright, but the sergeant was glad his war was over. War with grief, war with depression, war with devotion. Carver actually pitied the men remaining. He thought weakly, “Their war will go on. Mine ends here today.” And then he felt some thing like anger he saw a medic approach. Afterwards, everything went black.”
Meanwhile, the Confederate medic saw Carver pass out. Specialist Oliver Thompson hurried, knowing he didn't have much time to save the sergeant. He shouted to the other commandos, “Cover me. The sergeant is down, but I think I can save him.”
The medic continued to approach, praying that he could save Carver. If he didn't, the armour self destruct would kill them both. He removed a tissue regenerator, aimed its beam at Carver’s torso, and set it to on. Thompson waited for the machine to do its work, and began removing Carver’s gauntlets to perform a blood transfusion. The medic went through a list of the unit’s blood types, found Carver’s and smiled broadly. Carver was AB positive, meaning he could receive anyone’s blood. Thompson prepared the transfusion, and let fresh blood flow into Carver’s unconscious body. It would be interesting to see if the sergeant could recover.
Meanwhile, the Confederate commandos continued to do battle, slicing up and gunning down numerous lower Invaders. They fired rockets and grenades at the FLAKs, determined to ensure the death of the Acruani forces had meant something.

Under normal circumstances, such a cyberattack on a Marker would have definitely have a good chance at taking it down... even if the Marker themselves weren't necessarily cybernetic from the point of view of the currently existing civilizations in this part of the universe, they were really similar to something like that. But, however, the Markers had already gotten in contact with the Acruani and their rather... annoying attempts at forcing Markers to join their Collective. And while the High Council hadn't managed to effectively find a way to counterattack that yet, fail-safe's were put in place. For the lower ranked Markers, the fail-safes activated self-destruction sequences. But for higher ranked ones, the fail-safe's did something else. The White Marker activated a hibernation sequence, and a few moments later, it stopped firing the white energy in the atmosphere.... entering hibernation. Although, it was a little too late... as the planet's atmosphere had already been clearly mostly destroyed, the temperature starting to drop at an alarming rate...
As for the battle, the attacks of the Acruani and of the Confederates managed to destroy the two FLAK's, the AAU's exploding, but the Invader soldiers didn't seem to be affected in the least. With or without artillery support, they continued to fire, with more of their heavier troops approaching, starting to fire the heavy rocket launchers Panzerschreck at the remaining Acruani spiders, and keeping the Confederates under supressing fire, while obviously waiting for new orders.... although they seemed to be a little confused by the sudden hibernation of their Marker. But even so, some of the dead Colonials simply fell on the ground, not moving anymore, probably because Sigma didn't have enough power to keep them going on her own.... the allied forces had a small chance...
But Sigma, obviously, wasn't affected at all. Rushing forward, she violently attacked, forcing Archene into a defensive stance from the beginning, pushing him back with fast paced attacks; the Acruani barely managing to parry her slashes and hits. Archene did have an Ancient Sword. And yes, he was much older than Sigma. But even so, it was clear that Sigma was much better at fighting with her sword than Archene was at fighting with Hamiel. Sigma was obviously allowing the being inside her sword, more specifically, its fluctlight, to be on the verge of taking over her own mind, allowing her to fight on that edge that was so dangerous to fight on for the normal, living beings.. and this was only a mere part of her power.
"What's wrong, Archy? Can't you handle it anymore?.... This is boring...~", Sigma said, once again sticking out her tongue at Archene in a childish manner. The muscles of the Acruani were degenerating more and more, while the pink eyed girl seemed to be bored.."I'm disappointed... I would have thought that the leader of an entire race, and an Ancient Sword wielder over all would have much more powerful... but it seems that none of you is truly understanding the swords, and you can't use their true power.... well, I suppose you can't be too far if you still see them as things of magic. So ridiculous... maybe if you morons would start looking them from the point of that science you love so much.."
Sigma then stopped for a moment, smirking. "But... too late!~"
Practically leaping forward, the white-pink haired girl attacked Archene, forcing him to barely parry her hit... but even only a scratch from that sword would have been enough to kill her, Sigma seemed to be as willing to risk as ever. While Hamiel parried her sword, she used her left hand to punch Archene in the belly, and use that hit to break his stance for a mere second... which was enough. Pushing onto her sword, she pushed Archene back, their swords locked, and at pure force, strangely, Sigma was better, as she pushed him back once more... and slashed her sword, hitting the Acruani's shoulder and cutting his entire right arm off.
Once again smiling a little insane, the girl licked a little bit off the blood on her white blade.. "Hmm... a little too artificial... but nice...~", she said, looking at the now without an arm Archene as if she was going to eviscerate him in the following seconds... but then she stopped... and remained quiet for a few moments.
"Sheesh... and just when I was having fun~", Sigma said, sighing. "Our job here is over... let's go... We'll leave them to the next Order.". Upon hearing her, the Invader soldiers stopped firing, and just as emotionless as usually, they turned around, disappearing in the fog, one by one. Sigma then looked at Archene once again, with a sad smile on her face. "When you'll see my brother... tell him that I miss him."
With that, Sigma turned around and left, the fog surrounding her just as it did for the other Invaders, seemingly disappearing...
And the Invaders started to retreat from the system, leaving the Marker behind. The Second Battle of Line Maria was over.

The Acruani never forced anyone until now, they were mere attempts of willfully allowing outsiders to become a part of the Collective, but indeed, it was an attempt to force the White Marker into the Collective. The attempt, however, failed. While such event was within the possible outcomes expected, the Marker not self-destructing was a very interesting outcome indeed. At least, it gave the possibility for the Acruani and commandos to survive. The Invaders 'stopping to work' was also a wonderful outcome though the exact reasons wouldn't be understood immediately.
As the battle went on, the Acruani ended up and nothing more than dissolved puddles of silver goo, even those seemed to 'evaporate' soon enough.
During the whole fight with Sigma... Archene had an emotionless face, the main aspect of the plan already had failed, the degeneration rate of his muscles were already at his apex... he might even have no chance against someone like Carver, much less against Sigma. Still, he attempted to stall as much as possible. But every parry he made, he could feel that the body wouldn't hold up much longer. It was made for this, the simulations would say that it should be able to hold much longer. But at times, even the most complex simulations can diverge from the truth, it was after all the first time the body was used in a real situation, with Hamiel.
He even quietly paid attention to Sigma as she spoke with him about how to look at the swords. Of course, the Acruani didn't look at them as if they were magic. Far from it, however, it wasn't something that the Acruani could say was understood. At most, he considered Hamiel to a mass of data, a mind, a soul capable of fully and directly interacting with the material world, stored within the sword. But even then that was only from the Acruani way of understanding, while it may be far from the truth, such concept was the very concept that allowed Acruani to exist as they did within the Cores. Sadly, they were far from being capable of interacting directly with the universe.
As the battle went to its apex and Sigma slashed his arm, he grinned at the remark about the taste of his blood. Though it seemed like he may retort, he only kept looking at her, his focus already beyond wondering why she didn't destroy his body yet and at the point where he was thinking what to do next. The whole situation might have looked very strange from the outside, not only the two grinning at each other, but also how despite Sigma's blade having some blood on it, there was no blood coming out of the large wound of the side of his body, or from his arm on the floor.
As she showed the Acruani a sad smile and made him a request, he simply answered, as if unhindered by the wound, "I'll be sure to tell him." He then sighed as well, once she seemed long gone, before the silver lines over his skin seemed to fade. He sheathed Hamiel before picking his arm up, and with a simple motion reattached it. No sound of bones being popped into place, but rather, a faint sizzling sound. The Acruani stood still for a minute holding the arm in place, before he sighed, somehow being able to the fingers of the formerly removed limb.
Within his sight, even before the UI from the visor he saw numbers showing the regeneration rates, energy stockpiles and damage done to the body. He was in a sorry situation, but the body could probably be reused for combat purposes. Without dwindling long in the matter he walked towards the surviving commandos, his voice been transmitted to their helmets as he approached, "The mission today, was a success. Despite our losses both here, and in space. For now, however, we must leave the planet. Most of you are not in condition to remain here needlessly, and this planet may soon become uninhabitable. Take all the wounded, and any remains any of you believe necessary." He then waited for the Commandos, whether Carver would be awake before they walked over to the ships and left, was unknown to him, but they should be off the ground as soon as possible. Their next destination would be the very planet he borrowed the Commandos from.

Not long later, a transport was able to leave the planet, only to see well over half of the Acruani forces destroyed in that system. A scene repeated in similar degrees all throughout Line Maria. Not too strangely however, most of the damage was sustained by Acruani Standard Capital Ships, rather than their Hive Queens. The transport proceeded to enter a Hive Queen, which soon jumped out of the system.
As soon as Archene and the Confederates were out of the system, the Acruani began to move. At first, Hive Queens release a large number of small ships, only somewhat bigger than large fighters, but these clearly didn't have a combat purpose, those were mining and scavenging ships. They spread through the various areas where combat just happened, the small ships began a long process of obtaining debris and remains of ships so that the Hive Queens could produce more Capital ships.
Meanwhile, a transmission was made to the various planets covered in red or black fog through the various systems of Line Maria:
Of course, even as this announcement was made, the planets covered by fog were being heavily scanned for signs of Markers or any kind of ship departing them, or merely self-destructing.
Though the Acruani considered the presence of survivors in every and each one of the planets in Line Maria, they doubted any attempts to rescue them would have acceptable results while there were Markers, or any considerable Abyssal presence in the systems. And of course, if even a Marker accepted to join the Acruani Collective, the whole effort would already be worth more than enough.

Strangely enough, there was absolutely no reaction from the other Markers for about a few hours after the announcement had been made. A complete silence. No ship departed, no Marker self-destructed, nothing happened at all. Were they asking for reinforcements? Preparing to do something even more violent than self-destructing? It was difficult to say..
Eventually though, a message was sent back to the Acruani, and the message seemed to originate from the largest planet in Line Maria, a gas giant covered a red type of fog-gas, seemingly uninhabited. "What would be the benefits you claim there would be upon joining your organization? Joining your collective would mean putting us under your authority, right?"

At first, the Acruani were suspicious. They had seen before a Marker destroying a system with it, and even though they considered the possibility of such event happening in mass throughout Line Maria, they still considering it a possibility. As much as a possibility as a Marker joining the Acruani Collective.
Be it reinforcements, countless suns being blown up or merely a number of Markers hibernating, they Acruani seemed to have continued to collect their debris over their hours waiting.
Once they received a response, it did not take them over a few minutes to properly reply to the gas giant in question.

As part of the High Ones, We already enjoy immortality, much more than you ever will. Many of Us here are part of the Priory, meaning that we already enjoy a higher rank in the Orders than We will ever enjoy in the Collective. Joining the Collective would mean submitting Us to your Standard Directive, and stop attacking you and your allies, which unfortunately, would be impossible for any of Us, since Our very reason for existence is to spread the darkness of the High Ones and save the universe from this filth known as life. Joining you would also mean betraying our Cause and Curse. So tell Us, Acruani, why should we join you, when we're older than your entire civilization? You might have won this battle, but you have only defeated our vanguard. It won't be long before this entire galaxy falls into darkness, defeated by its very own creations and cruel nature, and the allies you fought to help will succumb to their own human nature and greed..

About the end of the message, a very considerable number of the Hive Queens throughout Line Maria jumped both in and out of the systems. If proper through scans could be made, while a number of ships were kept within Line Maria, it would become clear that there was also a number of freshly arrived ships, nearly equal to the number of ships that departed.
At such time, it would become noticeable that around each of the fog-covered planets in Line Maria, there were now 6, 12 and even 24 Hive Queen surrounded the planets. And though there was the usual lack of abnormal energy signatures leaving the ships, visually, it was clear even by the positioning that they either planned to do something, or were already doing it.
