Ships. Thousands of them. Each atleast a kilometer long and a hundred meters wide. The Ihan'rii Remnants, all that remains if the once glorious Ihan'rii Imperium that fought along with the other civilizations of the Spiral Galaxy against the Abyssals. Despite their united strength, they fell and were destroyed. They are the only known survivors.
Wormholes appeared all over an area of space near inhabitation as the Ihan'rii traveled, with their ships appearing out of the portals. They did not send any radio signal to reveal their presence for fear of attracting the Abyssal's attention, but their fleet can be clearly seen from any good telescope.
After a while, they scanned the system. They found no Abyssals anywhere, but they can see that it is inhabited by something else...

It didn't take long for the Colonial sensors in the system to detect the unknown fleet jumped in. The unknown fleet had jumped in one of the systems of the Federated Colonies, currently protected by both the professional Kriegsflotte, but also by the more militia like conscripted Defense Forces. It was obvious that from the moment the unknown fleet jumped in the system, judging by its size and the radio silence, it was considered to be an Invader fleet.
Alarms started throughout the system, as all forces were put on Condition One. Orbital and planetary defenses were activated, help was required from other Colonial military units in the sector, and the few hundred ships in the system organized themselves in a defensive formation between the unknown ships and the planets in the system, with the battlestars in front of the formation, led by the Colonial Military Ship Danzig.
A message was quickly sent to the unknown fleet, the Colonials wanting to check first. They could have been Invaders, but this system was a little too far from the front for such a large attack.
"Attention unknown ships, you have violated the space of the Federated Colonies. Consider this a warning. Identify yourself or you will be considered hostile."
Just as usual, the message was sent in multiple intergalactic languages.

The Ihan'rii Armada seemed to turn around their backs at the Colonial fleet, perhaps gesture to say that they aren't hostile, since turning backs to an enemy is not exactly a good decision. After a while of turning, every single ship in the Armada blared out radio waves;radio waves so intense that they started damagung electrical equipment a small bit. However, before the Colonials could react, a written message flickered to their screens,
"We are the Ihan'rii Armada, and we come here in peace. We do not know who you are, or why you are here, but all we know now is that the Abyssals destroyed our homeworld as well as all of the civilizations of our home galaxy. We are the only last survivors."

While the radio signals were pretty powerful, the Colonial equipment managed to resist just fine. After all, a nation with 800 million worlds needed strong equipment. The Colonial ships remained alert though, continuing their defensive measures, the Fleet Group taking position to defend the planets. A message was sent back to the unknown fleet. Die Föderierte Kolonien Flottengruppe Westpreußen-Koloniale Militärschiff Danzig The Federated Colonies Fleet Group West Prussia- Colonial Military Ship Danzig
Ihan'rii Armada, this is the Fleet Group West Prussia of the War Fleet of the Federated Colonies. We don't know who you are, but you have entered a sovereign system under the protection and jurisdiction of the Federated Colonies. We are currently at war, and this is considered a warzone by the Colonial High Command, so we would like to kindly ask you to turn off your weapons in order not to spark more hostility, at least until we can be sure that you aren't Invaders. Could it be that those Abyssals you are talking about are these race whose description we are just sending you? Please respond as soon as possible.

"Yes... yes they are the same. So we have a common enemy, then?", the answer came back a few seconds later. "The enemy of our enemy is our friend, is it not?"
At the same time, the Ihan'rii ships turned off their weapons, and concealed them under metal plates, which is very ingenious in their part.

Die Föderierte Kolonien Flottengruppe Westpreußen-Koloniale Militärschiff Danzig The Federated Colonies Fleet Group West Prussia- Colonial Military Ship Danzig Yes, that could be true, but firstly, we would like to request that you will allow us to scan your ships. While it would be truly good to have a new race to ally with in our fight against the Invaders, we might have to check first, since the Invaders are fairly good at not letting any survivors after all... and they are masters in intrigues and tricks. It's not that we don't believe you, but the orders of the Oberkommando are strict. We have to be sure first.

"You are free to scan. We have nothing to hide."
The Ihan'rii ships then turned to face the Colonial fleet after a while of pointing their backs at them... (Uhm,m)

The Colonial Forces scanned the unknown ships, before a message was sent back to them from the Danzig. Thank you for allowing us to scan you, scanning revealed that you indeed aren't Invaders. In the name of the Federated Colonies, we would like to officially welcome you to the Milky Way, and officially propose an alliance between you and the Colonies.

As soon as the Colonials finished talking, something red and ominous started appearing around the Ihan'rii. Out of these rifts appeared other Ihan'rii ships, the Dimensional Submarines. There were atleast 36 of them, and for a moment it looked like there were Invaders warping in before the Ihan'rii fleet confirmed their presence, and then sent out a message to the Kriegsflotte -
"There is no need to worry. Other Ihan'rii like us have followed us here."

For a moment, the Colonials almost opened fire against the unknown ships, but the message arrived just in time, and the new signatures were taken in as part of the Ihan'rii. A message was sent back to them.
We would like to thank you for informing us, and we would like to advise you that in the future, it would be good if your ships wouldn't appear just as sudden as that, they might be considered hostile, and they might be fired upon. It's better to avoid any unnecessary risks. To repeat our previous question, would you be open to the proposal of an alliance and an agreement between the Federated Colonies and your people?

"We are open for an alliance. After all, with the Abyssals roaming the galaxies, is it not just appropriate for us to have an alliance?"

The Federated Colonies "Unity, Freedom, and Equality!" Fleet Group West Prussia- Colonial Military Ship Danzig Then. we're going to offer you our terms in complete accordance with the Articles of Colonization. In exchange for a military alliance, and mutual sharing of information about the Abyssals, the Colonials are ready to offer you help against the Invaders, a system to settle, and introduce you to the intergalactic community of these galaxies. You will be allowed to settle the system however you want, and we will offer you supplies and help for however much time you may need it, but we will expect you to join the intergalactic forces currently trying to stop the Invader's advance into our galaxy.

"Very well. We will deliberate among ourselves and see if our people want an alliance."
For several minutes, there was complete radio silence from the Ihan'rii Fleet. Everyone waited what would be the decision of all the Ihan'rii, until a message crackled in the radios of the Colonials -
"Our people accept an alliance. They accept all the terms you give."
