Malantogue, Headquarters Of Munitions Multigalactic
Unexpectedly, over a hundred hostile icons suddenly appeared on sensors in the Malantogue system. They were an Invader fleet, part of the three pronged force led by Rho. The key difference is that this one was led by a more mysterious Invader, one with a background in the Confederate Navy. Seconds later, the ships exited hyperspace.
They immediately began to bombard the factory world. Some of the strongest planet class ray shields the Confederacy ever produced powered up, absorbing most of the damage. At the same time, hundreds of hypervelocity guns, surface to space turbolasers, and Hollow-class starfighters launched up from the planet. As for the spaceports, they were closed down except for military platforms, and the weapons factories of Malantogue kicked themselves into overdrive. It was quite warm on the planet due to the factories, so much of the population wore refrigeration armour. Also, a large portion of the Confederate military as well as the private army of Munitions Multigalactic turned out to repel any Invaders who dared come to ground.
From Acruani space, the presence of Marcus laughed at the prospect of a siege. He returned to the headquarters of his industrial empire, and prepared himself for the battle ahead.
He he said to himself, "Invaders. Here. Hah. We produce so much here, they'll need years to conquer us. Time I suspect they don't have. If they want to bog themselves down going against me, then so be it. We can arm an army a month, and I can predict any move they try before they make it. Let the fools come."
Unlike Maarlox, a sparse planet with a few strong defences, Malantogue was covered in them. The Invaders would have a far more difficult time taking Munitions Multigalactic than the sparse research world.
