Uncharted Star System
8 Nagusian ships jumped into an uncharted at system, their mission to provide reconnaissance reports, and to deploy sentry posts in the area. The fleet consisted of: 3 Darkray Scout Frigates 1 Stormwatcher Supply Frigate 2 Ulterior Construction Frigates 1 Saviour Medical Frigate 1 StarSeeker Corvette.
A small fleet with little fighting power, each ship bore the bright, metallic yellow Genovia Colonies logo, one of the big Corporations of the Nagusi. They began scanning a small desert planet for anything of worth, their supply Frigate ready to deploy an outpost when needed. Heading the fleet was Petty Captain Avarir Zin, a fresh faced rookie who had, through a somewhat controversial event, been pkaced straight into Captain training by his employers, the Genovia Colonies Corporation, rather than ranking up from Officer first. He was a dull red Nagusi, characterised by his rather iconic back fin, which stretched the length of his back and tail and was rather large for a fin, bigger than any other. He wore a tight rubberised suit that covered his upper body and the top area of his tail, yellow and grey in colour with the Genovia Colonies logo emblazoned upon the right breast. A small firearm sat at his side, designed to fire high voltage stun rounds into his foes rather than regular bullets.
Having finally been chosen to lead his first mission and, more importantly, his first fleet, Zin was in high spirits, as were the crew of his personally assigned StarSeeker corvette, a little larger than the frigates following behind him, which was assigned to him by his superiors upon his official recognition as a Petty Captain. The remainder of his ships were all led by Officers who too were on their first missions, each willing to follow Zin's orders to the last letter for the time being.

Jumping rather close to the Nagusi fleet was a Drathian scouting ship, or, a Stalker as they were called. It was a small vessel, only about three times as large as a fighter, with minimal weapons. At first, the captain of the ship, a Captain Kolik was surprised to see the alien fleet so close to his own meager little ship. A few hundred feet more and he might have accidentally crashed into them. He flipped on his communications, speaking into his holocommunicator.
"Hello there, this is Captain Kolk of the DSS Nymph. May I ask who you are?" He didn't seem all too threatening, perhaps the sharp teeth might put some off, but otherwise, Kolk looked like a rather friendly person. He was nervous though, what if these aliens were hostile? If they truly wanted, they could wipe him off the face of the galaxy within seconds, long before he could charge up his FTL drive enough to make a getaway. He'd have to be careful.

The Nagusi fleet powered their weapons upon a ship jumping in so close to them, though refrained from firing prematurely. Instead, Avarir waited for a few moments, at which point they received a message from the ship, which he listened to intently.
"Hm... An undocumented alien race, likely to be large scale if they have a military uniform. This is a scouting Frigate they have sent, though I doubt it knew we were here. Jumped too close for that. Get this message translated at once, I want these people allied with us, and make sure we get those outposts set up."
The ships then powered down their weapons and split up, most flying down to the planet to deploy outposts on its surface. Avarir's ship and one other stayed behind to continue communicating with the Drathians, sending a translated message to them:
"Greetings, DSS Nymph. This is the Skyleik of the 3rd Genovia Colonies Expeditionary Fleet. We are deploying outposts on marked planets for our colonization fleets, though we are willing to temporarily halt that objective for diplomatic exchange with a foreign sentient species. If you would allow it, I wish to invite an envoy aboard this vessel for that very reason."
Avarir wasn't exactly intimidating or aggressive, though he knew how to talk like a Commander already. Maybe if this exchange went well, he'd already be making steps toward a promotion.
