History( short)he zerg were native to Zerus, a hostile ash world near the core of the Milky Way Galaxy.[2] The first spawning pool on Zerus was the catalyst for the creation of the zerg. The pool split the genetic information ("essence") of the proto-zerg that entered it. The proto-zerg competed within; those that ate their counterparts evolved, and became the first zerg.[3] The practice of evolution by consumption, and the principle of survival of the strongest, were fundamental to the zerg.[4] The zerg were minature insectoids and the most insignificant lifeform on the planet. In this form they were discovered by the xel'naga, an ancient extra-galactic species[2] in the midst of perpetuating their lifecycle. Their lifecycle merged two species, one with the purity of form and the other with the purity of essence, over eons.[5]
From their orbiting worldships, the xel'naga spurred the zerg's evolution through proto-genetic manipulation. Since the collapse, Tri-Tachyon has vastly diversified its operations and insinuated itself throughout the Sector. even hostile factions, paranoid of hardwired backdoors, find themselves forced to employ standard Tri-Tachyon devices, beginning with the ubiquitous Tri-Tachyon PDA.
From a certain perspective, the Tri-Tachyon corporate charter's peculiar algorithmic self-modifying features might be considered to be an abstract form of AI which makes use for human corporate officers as integral components, though this is a philosophical argument which was never satisfactorily resolved in a way that led to any additional convictions of violating the Domain's AI ban.

Short Description: The Crion are an ancient race, with each member being up to many hundreds, if not thousands, of years old. The Crion had long ago forsaken their original, biological forms, favoring mostly robotic exo-skeletons due to the long lives such bodies granted them. However, the loss of the Crions biological forms meant the loss of much more than they had anticipated, mainly a dulling of emotions and of the previously pleasant sensations due to a hastiness when transferring consciousness to their new machine bodies, with the original Crions favoring the logical parts of their species brain over the more emotional. Long ago, before humanity even dreamed of reaching the stars beyond, the Crion were rulers of their lush homeworld, and the mighty God-Kings of ancient Hylro (The antiquated name of the Crion homeworld.) ruled a thriving empire that spanned continents. No one, not even the oldest of the surviving Crion, have any idea what these folk looked like. These times are generally known to the Crion as the Biological Period, or the Dark Age. During these centuries, the God-Kings wielded little power, and thousands of minor princes, barons and dukes ruled over what were practically independent fiefdoms, only occasionally paying tribute to the God-Kings of the Vywerm Dynasty. All of this occurred before the development of Human civilization, and would continue for many more centuries. By the dawn of Human civilization, around 8,000 B.C, the Crion civilization was reaching it's twilight. Technological stagnation and a fractured species led to the end of the Dark Age with the death of the last God-King, Dracarus Vyerm XCIX, who had no heirs, signifying the end of the eons old Vywerm Dynasty. With no clear heir to the title of God-King, the already barely held together Crion society collapsed into the Age of Strife, a 5,000 year long age of stagnation, collapse, death and famine. At this point, technological progress was halted around the level of Medieval European society, and the Age of Strife came to an end only with the development of blackpowder in 3,156 B.C among what was then the small and insignificant fiefdom of Cryus. This new weapon allowed for a spree of conquest under the banner of Princept Vysrus the Bloody. By the time of Vysrus's death the domains of Cyrus had swelled to encompass an entire continent, and it's power was unquestioned. His son, Volgrus the First, crowned himself as "Archon" of the planet of "Cryus", then still known by most as Hylro. He and his descendants spurred the Age of Advancement in which Cyrus slowly spread over the Crion Homeworld using progressively more and more advanced technology to suppress the natives. By the year 4 B.C, after roughly 3,000 years of advancement and conquest, the planet was once again united under a single banner, and had reached a level of advancement comparable to that of the humans right before their discovering of FTL technology. In 7 A.D came the glorious coronation of Archon Creeus Cryus LV and the beginning of the Golden Age of Cybernetics. This age lasted from 7 A.D to 1023 A.D, and it was characterized by experimentation with modifying the Crion body, augmenting it with cybernetics to improve upon it. It was around this time that the knowledge of the old biological forms of the Crion were destroyed by the Technomancers due to the fact that those bodies had been "impure" and even the knowing of what they looked like would lead to impurity of the mind. This age was peaceful, and was the beginning of the cultural stagnation that continues to this day, with the cultural preferences and ideas of one generation to the next being extraordinarily similar. However, things took a turn for the worst when in 987 A.D the planet Cryus Prime, already a sprawling metropolis of a world always teetering on the edge of starvation, was finally faced with a choice: Limit population growth or starve. Though the right choice seemed obvious enough, many argued against it, saying it limited the rights of the Crions. They instead recommended that they ration out what food remained, and attempt to develop a technology which would either eliminate the need of food (As the Crions were already so Cybernetically enhanced, this was very feasible.) or discover a way to expand off world. Archon Tyran Cyrus I was convinced, and decided to ration food whilst pursuing the technology required for both courses of action. And so, after around 30 years of rationing, both feats had been accomplished. This began The Golden Age of Expansion. This was the point where the Crions began their hungry expansion across the galaxy, and when they finally became more machine than beast. This age lasted from 1023 A.D to 1950 A.D, when the Crions expanded to their modern borders and lost and biological components they had once had. The Golden Age of Expansion had been an amazing one, in which many worlds had been conquered or colonized, and many impure biological species had been eradicated. However, the year 1950 marked a dark time in Crion history, when their previously mostly untouched brains were finally converted by the Technomancers into fully robotic devices. The Time of Loss was what many Crions called this age. From 1950-2001 A.D the Crions slowly dismantled their own culture, streamlining their buildings and society for maximum efficiency, the new main tenet of the Crion beliefs. After the dull-ification of the Crion civilization came the Age of Regret, lasting from 2001-2256. A time of wallowing sadness in which the Crions were able to reactivate certain emotional centers of their cold, metal brains and, for the most part, just spend around 200 years of stagnation being depressed. With such long lives, 200 years were to the Crions a short period of time for the grieving of their lost culture, and even today many Crion spend all day simply grieving for their loss. After this, from 2256-3000, the Crions dug themselves out of their metaphorical hole, and, making the best of their situation, begin the Grey Age, a time of monotonous cultural stagnation, though also a period of great technological growth in which the Crions developed countless wonderful inventions, from refining their FTL drives to creating translation devices so as to speak to what few nearby alien races they had encountered. Now is the Age of Contact, from 3000 to the present day. For many previous centuries the Crions had been isolationist to an extreme, destroying anything that passed their Exclusion Zones and refusing to even acknowledge attempts at contacting them from nearby civilaztions. However, under the reign of the current ruler, a young man by the name of Vyraxcus Cryus IV and his co-ruling Archon-Priest Dracyras Vurnwyrm II, the Crion civilization has been preparing to open itself up to the universe, and are finally ready to speak with the rest of their galaxy and others.

History:
Formed 400 years ago by the human Avalon Alliance along with the alien Stelvan Federation, Retval Republic and Jevlon Coalition after winning the Magellanic War where they fought and annihilated the Magrod Empire, the Alliance stand as a unified defensive and political alliance of the member nations.
Currently, it represents 23 races of all sorts of characteristics including various types of human including those descended from the human colonisation fleet who ended up on Avalon after getting caught by a natural FTL event which flung them into the Large Magellanic Cloud along with somehow sending thing back another 150 years into the past. No one is still quite able to explain how that happened to this day and all attempts at replicating it artificially have failed completely.
Now, 400 years after the Alliance was formed, it is now been embroiled in the final stage of the galactic war against the Magellanic Imperium for the past 12 years. Soon, the Alliance plans to end the war on its own terms.
For the next 6 years after the Second Magellanic War ended, the Alliance integrated ex-imperium planets into the Alliance itself. Even after the war, the military still hunted for rouge Imperium forces that didn't accept the surrender. Eventually, the Alliance decided to finally send a fleet to the Milky Way to make contact with whoever is the leading human power there just a few months after making contact with the Vuldron.
They made contact with the Sovereign Colonies of Mankind, who they soon became allies with, much to then surprise of both sides due to the Sovereign Colonies dislike of aliens due to them losing the First Intergalactic War.
Then the Second Intergalactic War happened. During the War, the a Alliance for the most part didn't really contribute to any major areas instead assisting in defending a weak section of Colonial space that was the closest to Alliance space in the LMC. Though the Keltaken did try three times to invade the Alliance, their efforts were beaten back by the forces of the Alliance and the Vuldron.
When the war ended, the Alliance was one of the few nations to stay allied with the SC. And, compared to the Sovereign Colonies and the Keltaken Empire, got off relatively lightly and in the long run actually got stronger due to that as it allowed them to stay intact and at essentially full strength post war. By the time of the 10 year anniversary of the end of the war, the alliance had increased to 600 million worlds and 3.1 Quadrillion people, making it one of the strongest of the human states behind the SC.
Goals: To protect the free people of the Alliance and its allies from oppression and tyranny. Among other things. Also, to expand their knowledge of wormhole space and other advanced tech as much as possible.

The most powerful megacorporation in the Sector after the fall of the Domain gate system, Tri-Tachyon specialized in cutting-edge AI development (including several notable cases of violating the Domain ban on autonomous alpha+ level AI) and exotic high-power devices (starship engines and warp drives, power generators, energy converters, forcefields). Since the collapse, Tri-Tachyon has vastly diversified its operations and insinuated itself throughout the Sector. even hostile factions, paranoid of hardwired backdoors, find themselves forced to employ standard Tri-Tachyon devices, beginning with the ubiquitous Tri-Tachyon PDA.
From a certain perspective, the Tri-Tachyon corporate charter's peculiar algorithmic self-modifying features might be considered to be an abstract form of AI which makes use for human corporate officers as integral components, though this is a philosophical argument which was never satisfactorily resolved in a way that led to any additional convictions of violating the Domain's AI ban.

Short Description: The Crion are an ancient race, with each member being up to many hundreds, if not thousands, of years old. The Crion had long ago forsaken their original, biological forms, favoring mostly robotic exo-skeletons due to the long lives such bodies granted them. However, the loss of the Crions biological forms meant the loss of much more than they had anticipated, mainly a dulling of emotions and of the previously pleasant sensations due to a hastiness when transferring consciousness to their new machine bodies, with the original Crions favoring the logical parts of their species brain over the more emotional. Long ago, before humanity even dreamed of reaching the stars beyond, the Crion were rulers of their lush homeworld, and the mighty God-Kings of ancient Hylro (The antiquated name of the Crion homeworld.) ruled a thriving empire that spanned continents. No one, not even the oldest of the surviving Crion, have any idea what these folk looked like. These times are generally known to the Crion as the Biological Period, or the Dark Age. During these centuries, the God-Kings wielded little power, and thousands of minor princes, barons and dukes ruled over what were practically independent fiefdoms, only occasionally paying tribute to the God-Kings of the Vywerm Dynasty. All of this occurred before the development of Human civilization, and would continue for many more centuries. By the dawn of Human civilization, around 8,000 B.C, the Crion civilization was reaching it's twilight. Technological stagnation and a fractured species led to the end of the Dark Age with the death of the last God-King, Dracarus Vyerm XCIX, who had no heirs, signifying the end of the eons old Vywerm Dynasty. With no clear heir to the title of God-King, the already barely held together Crion society collapsed into the Age of Strife, a 5,000 year long age of stagnation, collapse, death and famine. At this point, technological progress was halted around the level of Medieval European society, and the Age of Strife came to an end only with the development of blackpowder in 3,156 B.C among what was then the small and insignificant fiefdom of Cryus. This new weapon allowed for a spree of conquest under the banner of Princept Vysrus the Bloody. By the time of Vysrus's death the domains of Cyrus had swelled to encompass an entire continent, and it's power was unquestioned. His son, Volgrus the First, crowned himself as "Archon" of the planet of "Cryus", then still known by most as Hylro. He and his descendants spurred the Age of Advancement in which Cyrus slowly spread over the Crion Homeworld using progressively more and more advanced technology to suppress the natives. By the year 4 B.C, after roughly 3,000 years of advancement and conquest, the planet was once again united under a single banner, and had reached a level of advancement comparable to that of the humans right before their discovering of FTL technology. In 7 A.D came the glorious coronation of Archon Creeus Cryus LV and the beginning of the Golden Age of Cybernetics. This age lasted from 7 A.D to 1023 A.D, and it was characterized by experimentation with modifying the Crion body, augmenting it with cybernetics to improve upon it. It was around this time that the knowledge of the old biological forms of the Crion were destroyed by the Technomancers due to the fact that those bodies had been "impure" and even the knowing of what they looked like would lead to impurity of the mind. This age was peaceful, and was the beginning of the cultural stagnation that continues to this day, with the cultural preferences and ideas of one generation to the next being extraordinarily similar. However, things took a turn for the worst when in 987 A.D the planet Cryus Prime, already a sprawling metropolis of a world always teetering on the edge of starvation, was finally faced with a choice: Limit population growth or starve. Though the right choice seemed obvious enough, many argued against it, saying it limited the rights of the Crions. They instead recommended that they ration out what food remained, and attempt to develop a technology which would either eliminate the need of food (As the Crions were already so Cybernetically enhanced, this was very feasible.) or discover a way to expand off world. Archon Tyran Cyrus I was convinced, and decided to ration food whilst pursuing the technology required for both courses of action. And so, after around 30 years of rationing, both feats had been accomplished. This began The Golden Age of Expansion. This was the point where the Crions began their hungry expansion across the galaxy, and when they finally became more machine than beast. This age lasted from 1023 A.D to 1950 A.D, when the Crions expanded to their modern borders and lost and biological components they had once had. The Golden Age of Expansion had been an amazing one, in which many worlds had been conquered or colonized, and many impure biological species had been eradicated. However, the year 1950 marked a dark time in Crion history, when their previously mostly untouched brains were finally converted by the Technomancers into fully robotic devices. The Time of Loss was what many Crions called this age. From 1950-2001 A.D the Crions slowly dismantled their own culture, streamlining their buildings and society for maximum efficiency, the new main tenet of the Crion beliefs. After the dull-ification of the Crion civilization came the Age of Regret, lasting from 2001-2256. A time of wallowing sadness in which the Crions were able to reactivate certain emotional centers of their cold, metal brains and, for the most part, just spend around 200 years of stagnation being depressed. With such long lives, 200 years were to the Crions a short period of time for the grieving of their lost culture, and even today many Crion spend all day simply grieving for their loss. After this, from 2256-3000, the Crions dug themselves out of their metaphorical hole, and, making the best of their situation, begin the Grey Age, a time of monotonous cultural stagnation, though also a period of great technological growth in which the Crions developed countless wonderful inventions, from refining their FTL drives to creating translation devices so as to speak to what few nearby alien races they had encountered. Now is the Age of Contact, from 3000 to the present day. For many previous centuries the Crions had been isolationist to an extreme, destroying anything that passed their Exclusion Zones and refusing to even acknowledge attempts at contacting them from nearby civilaztions. However, under the reign of the current ruler, a young man by the name of Vyraxcus Cryus IV and his co-ruling Archon-Priest Dracyras Vurnwyrm II, the Crion civilization has been preparing to open itself up to the universe, and are finally ready to speak with the rest of their galaxy and others.

History:
Formed 400 years ago by the human Avalon Alliance along with the alien Stelvan Federation, Retval Republic and Jevlon Coalition after winning the Magellanic War where they fought and annihilated the Magrod Empire, the Alliance stand as a unified defensive and political alliance of the member nations.
Currently, it represents 23 races of all sorts of characteristics including various types of human including those descended from the human colonisation fleet who ended up on Avalon after getting caught by a natural FTL event which flung them into the Large Magellanic Cloud along with somehow sending thing back another 150 years into the past. No one is still quite able to explain how that happened to this day and all attempts at replicating it artificially have failed completely.
Now, 400 years after the Alliance was formed, it is now been embroiled in the final stage of the galactic war against the Magellanic Imperium for the past 12 years. Soon, the Alliance plans to end the war on its own terms.
For the next 6 years after the Second Magellanic War ended, the Alliance integrated ex-imperium planets into the Alliance itself. Even after the war, the military still hunted for rouge Imperium forces that didn't accept the surrender. Eventually, the Alliance decided to finally send a fleet to the Milky Way to make contact with whoever is the leading human power there just a few months after making contact with the Vuldron.
They made contact with the Sovereign Colonies of Mankind, who they soon became allies with, much to then surprise of both sides due to the Sovereign Colonies dislike of aliens due to them losing the First Intergalactic War.
Then the Second Intergalactic War happened. During the War, the a Alliance for the most part didn't really contribute to any major areas instead assisting in defending a weak section of Colonial space that was the closest to Alliance space in the LMC. Though the Keltaken did try three times to invade the Alliance, their efforts were beaten back by the forces of the Alliance and the Vuldron.
When the war ended, the Alliance was one of the few nations to stay allied with the SC. And, compared to the Sovereign Colonies and the Keltaken Empire, got off relatively lightly and in the long run actually got stronger due to that as it allowed them to stay intact and at essentially full strength post war. By the time of the 10 year anniversary of the end of the war, the alliance had increased to 600 million worlds and 3.1 Quadrillion people, making it one of the strongest of the human states behind the SC.
Goals: To protect the free people of the Alliance and its allies from oppression and tyranny. Among other things. Also, to expand their knowledge of wormhole space and other advanced tech as much as possible.
