A pinwheel shape, a sparse population, swathes of darkness, and billions of unexplored stars. These are hallmarks of the wild Triangulum Galaxy, whose virgin cosmos have been explored by only a small handful of residents. Its stars are home to hardy and reserved beings, which include a few alien races, and the largest presence of humanity outside of the Milky Way. These are old civilisations, with the newest standing for a thousand years. Uncertainty, danger, opportunity, and most of all, mystery, lie just beyond the borders of established Triangulum states. The galaxy is fairly inhospitable, and many inhabited worlds have some history of terra-forming. The few who live here include the human-alien superpower The Dothvalian Confederacy, the mysterious Union of Three Suprion Empires, and the seemingly omni-present Acruani Collective.
Each nation has grown in Triangulum for some time, and rarely entered outside conflicts. Despite thriving on humanity's farthest frontier, Triangulites remain cautious, and save their considerable strength for the dangers of their unexplored home space. As such, they stood tall above destruction that engulfed two galaxies during the Second Intergalactic War. But this time of prosperity and strength is coming to an end. By invading the Milky Way at the end of the First Intergalactic War, Triangulum states have revealed themselves as powers to the Abyssals who ignored them during the first attack on humanity. Now the Invaders target the galaxy, planning to plunge its twinkling, virgin stars into darkness as soon as they conquer the Milky Way.
But not all is lost. The states of Triangulum have survived near apocalypse before. They know the dangers that lie in the dark, and know they must stand together in the face of the Invaders. A quiet frontier will soon be the front of a war, and all are ready and willing to make a stand. But who will emerge victorious?
