Just like before, Kalax answered the Cardinal's every question correctly.
"According to the archives of the Conclave, they used the pis-disruptor to power down the rebelling Purifiers. It says that they channeled energy to it by using magnetic fields to bring channel them. We do not have to bring it in orbit;instead, it can power them down from here. And after that-"
Kalax was interrupted by a explosion, apparently... A beam striking at the planetary shields.
"Kardinal! We need to get it position and start powering it as soon as possible! The platform has fired its purifier beam at the shields, and soon it will warp in forces on the ground!"
The Purifier platform appeared to ignore the Bismark and instead charged its purifier beam to full power, firing it at the planetary shields, this time puncturing a hole. Out of its hangars came out the Purifier ships, and started warping in the gap before it closed up and started landing forces and relentlessly attacked whatever was on their way, and started heading to the psi-disruptor while the Marker controlled them tactically.

"Get the psi-disruptor ready! We'll protect this place!", the silver haired Cardinal ordered. The Colonial Guards and the Axiom Knights in the room started to prepare themselves, to protect this place until the last man and the last bullet.
In space, the Bismark made a short tactical jump, appearing at a really small distance from the Purifier platform, opening fire with it's main batteries from close distance, while launching wave after wave of torpedoes and missiles, all while the AI Automated System scanned the platform and directed every last shot so that it wouldn't damage the platform's core. Instead, the Bismark focused to destroying its weapons and defenses. From such a short distance, no matter how powerful and ancient the platform was, it would be overwhelmed by the powerful Colonial battlestar.
On the gground and in the atmosphere, the Purifier forces were caught between the orbital defense forces, that started to fire their kinetic and laser weapons, and the ground AA defenses. Cities and important areas, like the ones in which the Cardinal was now, were covered by smaller shields. In the air, the Purifier forces are huntef by the deadly Wyvern Fighters, at home in the atmosphere.

ThePurifier starships ignored the Wyvern fighters and orbital defences, and they used evasive warp to avoid any more losses, landing at the ground and started pounding the city shields with an massive amount of energy attacks.
The platform started to go down, as if attempting to slam itself at the Bismark. While doing so it fired its purifier beam one last time, puncturing the shield of the city in which the psi-disruptor was being charged, and the Marker whitin also struck the shield generators with electromagnetic pulses, effectively disabling them.

Unfortunately, Wyverns weren't that simple to avoid. Being able to jump, the Wyverns closely followed the Purifier starships, who obviously had difficulties in maneuvering in an atmosphere. The Wyverns on the other hand, were perfect for atmospheric flight. One Wyvern fighter, as small as it was, was probably nothing to worry about. But squadrons after squadrons of fast Wyverns, with help from the massive orbital defense cannons in the orbit, and the AA defenses on ground, all synchronized by the ColDNet, had no problem in establishing a true flak field over most of the atmosphere, firing at anything enemy that was moving. And for the ones that landed, the situation was even worse, as they were clear targets for the fighter bombers, and for the kinetic firing railgun satellites in the orbit. While they weren't any complicated technology, wave after wave of kinetic projectiles falling at high speed through the atmosphere had an incredible destructive power. And just as the Colonial speciality was, some of them had energetic cores, allowing them to be effective against energy shields too.
Meanwhile, in the space, the Bismarck accepted the challenge.- The platform was as the name suggests, a platform. The Bismarck on the other hand, was a battlestar. The battlestars had always been considered the most resistant ships in the known universe. And the Bismarck wasn't just any kind of a battlestar. It was a Nemesis Class Colonial Battlestar, the largest and most powerful class of the Federated Colonies. It's size wasn't its only forte. It had massive armor, reinforced with the strongest metal known to Mankind, Veranium. Powerful shields. And of course, while closing in, both its massive main batteries and its smaller but faster firing defense batteries were firing at main power. With that. the Bismarck used its head to violently crash in the Purifier platform, carefully directed by Alice of course, so that it wouldn't hit and damage the platform's core.
On the ground, as the shields were destroyed, the C.M.S. Karlsruhe jumped near the city, on the ground. A dangerous maneuver, but one that payed off. Karlruhe's shields were now protecting the city partially, and the psi-disruptor was being powered up. The light battlestar wasn't going to last for long though.

The platform shattered into two pieces;however, it started to piece back together, for as long as the power core is intact it will keep trying to piece itself back together. And even the Marker was intact, and it started to use its signature mind attacks - Hallucinations, headaches, and a myriad of other mind attacks. Meanwhile, the ships that landed started firing back towards the orbital sattelites with their cannons and phase disruptors. And others among them started to launch their own fighters - Small, agile Mirages armed with phasing technology that would be fatal to organic pilots, which made them harder to destroy as they constantly phased out of existence for a few seconds before appearing once again to attack.
The psi-disruptor's power is now at 48%.

Even if the platform repaired itself, the battle was far from over, and as the Bismarck itself wasn't that damaged, the bloody space battle continued. Gaining a little distance between itself and the platform, but still blocking its way to the planet, the Bismarck continued to carefully fire at it with precise, synchronized shots from its numerous main batteries, combined with waves after waves of missiles and torpedoes. This was clearly a change in the tactic, the Colonial ship now trying to take out its armament and shields first, waiting for the psi-disruptor to charge. Even if the Marker was trying to use its influence, for now, Bismarck's crew resisted. The ship, like all the Type IV battlestars, had been build exactly to counter that, its veranium armor being perfectly able to resist its influence for now, at least.
Meanwhile, on the ground, even if the enemy ships started to open fire, they were at a clear disadvantage. It was easier for the Colonial satellites and orbital defenses to fire at them fro up above, then it was for them to fire from the atmosphere. They were also at a high numerical disadvantage, and the fact that they were fired upon from both up and down, and they were attacked by fighters made them quickly starting to get losses. The fighters meanwhile, managed to resist the enemy phasers due to their Klein Fields, even if the started to get losses, as they were much more resistant.
The battle continued.

Without warning, several of the larger Purifier ships self-destructed, destroying many fighters as their khaydarin cores ruptured, causing massive explosions in the sky. And as soon they went to pieces, they started reconstructing. They may lack numbers, but their abilities make up for this. The platform started to turn itself into several large ships, its parts disintegrating and then piecing back together as independent ships. The solarite core was halved into several cores to power these ships, and now, 5 great battleships confronted the Bismarck, their weapons fully recomstructed. However, they lacked support from the other ships and they had no fighters, two things that are their main weaknesses.
Psi-disruptor power - 56%

On the planet, the operations continued. Even with the explosions, the Luftwaffe still had the control of the skies. Combined with the fire from the FLAK's and the AA defense, there simply was no way the enemies could win, unless something would happen to change the balance.
In space, the Bismarck continued to fight, not that affected at all. Five enemy battleships or not, the Colonial Military Ship Bismark was an Elbe Class Battlestar. Even if it had never been completed as initially intended, and it was more of a 3.5 Type than anything, it was still one of the most powerful ships in the Kriegsflotte. Designed to lead entire Flottengruppen, much more was needed to defeat the Bismarck than an enemy Purifier Platform. This fight was going to end soon.
As the platform broke into multiple other ships, the Bismarck continued its attack, firing precisely with all its main batteries at all the enemy battleships. Energetic, explosive, smart projectiles, lasers, everything was thrown at those ships, carefully targeted as to destroy their weapons and shields and leave their cores intact, while the fighter squadrons launched by the Colonial ship helped it gain the dominance in the fight, gaining the momentum. The Bismarck had no mercy.

The 5 battleships halved themselves into 10, each piecing to two, apparently trying to reconstruct their weapons as they pieced back once again as heavy cruisers. However, the largest of them started launching scarab-like machines that started shooting at the Bismark's shields. They had massive numbers, and they were very small, measuring no bigger than a coffee cup.
In the ground, the Marker crashed down, blasting quite an area. As soon as it landed, it started to block FTL travel as well as starting to suck out the planet's life itself(Endovul II 2.0), attepting to make an Ice Age so that even if its enslaved Purifiers were destroyed, they could atleast make serious damage.
The psi-disruptor mysteriously began to charge much faster than intended. Power: 80%

Despite the enemy attacks, the shields of the gargantuan Bismarck resisted, it's Klein Fields absorbing the damage of the fire of the enemy. The scrab-like machines made a fatal mistake by coming so close to the Colonial flagship, as they were now in the direct range of the ship's defense batteries- the flak field. Even if they were as small as a cup of coffee, the machines couldn't escape the accurate AI controlled turrets of the Colonial battlestar.. leading to a slaughter. The Bismarck continued the same tactic, fighting ten enemy battleships wasn't that difficult for it. They may be gaining numbers by halving themselves, but that also mean that each ship was weaker as its previous incarnation, making Bismarck's life easier.
On the planet, the fight continued, even if the Marker seemed to use its powers. The civilians were now mostly safely hidden into bunkers, and all Colonial units on the planet had winter equipment. The fight was going to continue, until victory, especially with Cardinal also present on it, giving morale to the Colonial defenders.

Several minutes after the scarab machines were slaughtered by the Bismark's flakfield, the psi-disruptor released waves of blue energy. Everything electrical on the planet shut down for several minutes, and when the waves of energy reached the Purifiers, they powered down- the 10 heavy cruisers, the remaining scarabs, the ships in the atmosphere and the ground, and the Purifier warriors. They all fell to the ground, and they crashed upon heavy snow drifts, some falling to glaciers, but all completely stopping their operations. The battle seemed over, except for the Marker still in the ground.

The Colonial forces, including the Bismarck, quickly switched on the emergency reactors, gaining their systems back online after the effects of the psi-disruptor. In the space, the Bismarck started to send more and more fighters, which started to eliminate the weapons of the Purifier cruisers, closing them down in reverse Klein Fields. Similar things were happening on the planet, where the Heer and the Luftwaffe tried to seal or destroy the Purifier warriors and machines.
Meanwhile, the Bismarck turned around, entering the planet's orbit, and started a heavy orbital bombardment of the Maker.

Several minutes later, the Purifiers woke up again, but this time, they did not have the malicious red glow. Instead, the Purifier cruisers merged again into a platform and started shooting the Marker. Apparently their subconcious selves did not enjoy being enslaved by the Marker.
In the ground, the Purifiers overloaded their shields to avoid taking more damage. They simply stayed stationary where they fell.

Noticing that something changed with the Purifiers, the Colonials stopped firing at them, but still remained in guard, just in case anything would happen. The Bismarck continued its orbital bombardment at the Marker, quickly taking away its shields.
Meanwhile, back in that city, Cardinal received the report from a young Unteroffizier, before she turned around, and started to speak with Kalax. "Should we assume that the Purifiers are no longer under the influence of the Marker?", the blind girl asked.

"We can assume that they are no longer under the Marker's enslavement. Aside from the fact that they aren't glowing red anymore, they aren't shooting at us anymore. However, it is still possible that the Marker will still try to take them back, but with the effects of the psi-disruptor, it is highly unlikely."
On the planet's surface, the Purifier ships disintegrated into fighters and swarmed towards the Marker, while the platform continued its bombardment without restraint.
