In the Keltaken capital, a team of expertly trained infiltrators prepared to pounce. They were positioned near the quarters of the Empress, and had posed as servants until now. Soon, they would move into the Empress' quarters and execute the plan. The leader of the team, Luukas Kettman, was a captain in the Dodspoke, the lethal attack force of the Delieggen Ascendancy. Armed with high technological knowledge, extensive covert combat experience, and a complete disregard for life, they were just as dangerous as the Keltaken Inquisition or Imperial Intelligence, their closest counterparts.
This had been planned for nearly a year now, ever since the Lords Of Darkness had returned to the universe. It would make it supremely easier for the Abyssals to conquer the galaxy. In ancient times, the Invaders had always been worshipped on Kaarlazen. Whether the High Ones noticed or not, Kettman didn't know. But they had returned to conquer. Finally, the pesky beacon of light that was the Confederacy would be extinguished. As would all others, and darkness would return to the universe. The Delieggen had embraced it from their very beginning, and now they would herald its return.
On a comm, Kettman raised one of his subordinates. He asked in the language dead everywhere but the Ascendancy, "It's prepared? The measures for our flight?" The Dodspoke officer spoke in code, and wondered if measures to help them escape were ready to execute.
"Yes," the subordinate replied.
"Very good," Kettman said. He then changed the frequency to address the whole team and said, "You understand your objectives. We enter, slay the hatchlings, and then spirit away the mother drake." Outside the door, the group equipped their armour, a deep black covered in tones of dark grey and streaks of black and yellow flame to mimic the fiery planet of Kaarlazen.
WIth that, the group of about four Dodspoke advanced to the quarters of the Empress. Kettman raised a Delieggen plasma rifle, and fired a superheated round through the door of the quarters. One of the other commandos hurled a flashbang inside. Once its wrath had been unleashed the Dodspoke charged through the door in their true forms. Nearly as big as an Inquisition member in true form, they also had dark grey skin, fiery hair, and ebony irises, with pupils as black as empty space. In combination with their armour, this would make the Dodspoke terrifying to anyone besides Inquisition Knights.

In combination with their armour, this would make the Dodspoke terrifying to anyone besides Inquisition Knights. If the enemy knew it or not behind the door as always standing by the side of the Empress was the faithful Loriz the Red and 4 of his Knights. Massive deadly Keltakens always on alert but even they where caught in suprise at the sudden blast at the front door which was immidently followed by a shipwide alarm the suprise wouldn't be long. " Intruders! Everyone to battle stations!"Already things seemed to be getting a bit out of hand as all of a sudden plasma bolts went flying. Loriz and his guards wouldn't get back up for at least the next 10 minutes untill then they had to protect the queen in what they could only expect was an assassination but from who they had no clue.
"Charge them!" Loriz shouted as the guards tried to close the gap taking many shots in the process locking horns so to speak with the unknown enemy while loriz himself attempted to take the Empress out a back way. "The Empress must survivie this conflict loriz get her out of here Agh!!!" One if the guards collapsed taking a knee as he tried to push back up against the massive creature slowed down by the shock and plasma bolts the guard was loosing decisively all of them doing what they could to protect the Empress. They where ready to die some already arming their suits to do a controlled explosion upon their experation not at full power as they where still on board the capital ship of the empire so much for using space to protect your leader.

One Inquisition guard was wounded by the plasma round that destroyed the door. As the Knights charged the Spoke, he was an easy target for their rifles. But before falling, the guard surged forward. He knew he couldn't reach the attacker physically, but there was one thing he could do. As he fell, the Knight removed his blade, and drew it in a hard arc through the air. Seconds before, the Delieggen commando had been away from the blade's reach. But as he came closer, he charged right into the blade. It slashed the commando's throat like butter, and he swiftly fell to the ground dead.
Then the explosion from the first Knight's armour killed two of the others. The final guard remaining raised his weapon and plunged his weapon towards one of the Delieggen's stomach, but was caught by three plasma rounds, one from each of the Dodspoke attackers. He fell as well. Even so, his blade penetrated the hip of an attacker, and he collapsed to the ground. The tendon was definitely damaged if not entirely severed, and the commando knew he couldn't go on with the rest of the unit.
When he noticed his comrade's injury, Kettman said in an even tone, "You always knew this day would come, Adriaan. You know what you have to do. You signed up for it if things came to this. You cant let them know about Karlaazen. Now the rest of us have to go on. You've done a lot to advance the darkness and the Ascendancy today. Be proud of that."
He then departed, and followed where he had seen the Inquisition officer flee with the Empress. Kettman noted he had one soldier left. He soon spotted the Keltaken. The other Dodspoke member charged ahead, and Loriz knocked the commando against the wall. When it was down to the two of them, the Inquisition leader ferociously attacked Kettman. Realising he had underestimated the strength of his opponent, the Delieggen officer removed a short vibrosword. It clashed loudly with Loriz's and the two soon disengaged as Empress Zora began to run.
Seeing her depart, Kettman panicked briefly, and decided to change his tactics. Knowing he wouldn't be able to kidnap the Empress if she made it to the main ship, pursuing her came first. And still Loriz charged towards him. As the gap closed, Kettman drew a sidearm, a small but potent plasma pistol. As he aimed for Loriz's head and pulled the trigger, Kettman said angrily, "I dont have time for this. You wont stop the darkness!"
And then the plasma round surged from the barrel. But not in the way Kettman expected. As it exited the weapon, the round's shell casing began to break apart. Still, much of the round hit Loriz full in the face. Blinded, he collapsed to the ground in pain, wishing he could do more but unable because his eyes were seared shut, at least for the moment. As for Kettman, he had taken plasma as well. But most had splashed onto his armour, so he was relatively unharmed. Moving the other Dodspoke to his feet, he said quickly, "Let's go! Alarms are going off all over the ship and we still have to catch the Empress!"
As they caught up with the Keltaken Empress and chased her to a corner, Zora asked fearfully, "Who are you? What are you? The Empire has never seen your kind before."
Kettman laughed as he held the Empress close and said in a wicked tone of Universal Standard, "Who are we, Zora? We're demons, and we're dragging you to Hell!" With his terrifying appearance, knowledge of her name, and incredibly high body heat, Kettman expected the Empress might believe his words. But the words were true enough. Hell was Karlaazen, where Zora would be offered as a sacrifice to the High Ones. He then injected her with a knockout drug, and began moving along the pre-planned exit route. He said over a comm, "Arjan, the measures are ready? Activate them. And hurry to our position. Not much time before Keltaken countermeasures kick in, and we wont wait long for you at the ship."
The Delieggen heard the words of his commander, and uploaded a virus into the Keltaken computer systems. It was designed to cause various systems to go haywire, including electrical lighting. During the blackout, the Dodspoke would depart. And so the technician departed, knowing blackout would follow soon.

Loriz heart was pounded, across his face he felt the burn of the plasma as he flailed around writhing in pain. He was blind and useless once his vision started to fix itself he stumbled towards the hanger doing everything he could to try and make it their. The intruders would have to take a ship to escape and loriz wanted to be there to wait for them. He was weak and stumbled a good bit, however he was strong forcing his body to continue. Once the initial shock wore off of the plasma shot he was shouting orders telling people to lock down the hanger all he could do was hope that he was not to late.
