Acruani-Loroi Space
Garde Planet - Loroi Capital
In an apartment that was like any of the other white spires that dotted the Loroi Capital City, a young white Loroi girl looking - no older than 7 years old by human appearance standards - waited by the door excited. Soon enough, a Loroi woman - that if on human standards wouldn't be past her mid-twenties - walked towards the apartment door and smiled at the young girl.
"Mom, mom," the young Loroi girl spoke to her mother, "Will I be getting my own today."
The woman briefly checked a watch around her wrist and without a single word, a few numbers appeared on it. The woman then answered, "It should be arriving in 10 minutes, you shouldn't be too impatient." The woman smiled at the girl.
They were both waiting for the girl's αWatch.
Such scene was common through Loroi society in the last few years. With the Acruani 'freeing' them from the Colonies and Humanity, they were able to lead their own society happily. With the help of Acruani technology (regardless of how it got to Acruani hands), they were able to boost their birthrates to an unprecedented levels. While at the beginning there were those who thought Acruani were merely their new Overlords, they soon understood that Humans and Acruani were different to the core.
While Humans lead by emotions, the Acruani were lead by logic and their Database. Though neither was lead solely by one or the other as a whole. Humans, even the ones who began with the most benign of the intentions, could be corrupted if not for self gain, for the better of their family, if not their family, if not their family, their city, if not their city, their world, if not their world, their race. The Acruani, however, would not tolerate corruption even in the cases where it would lead to the benefit of the Overseer in a way or another. Unlike the humans, Acruani never took a position in Loroi society, and while all had to wear their αWatches, how was it different from wearing an ID? Having a mobile? A mobile that could help you learn anything you need, find anything you need and help you.
Over time, less and less Loroi remained thinking that the Acruani were there simply as the new race to walk over them. How could they not? After their low reproduction rates were increased, when their planets were as healthy as they could be, when their crime rates had to be measured in absolute numbers to even be counted, when they were their own leaders, when had their military almost as great as the Loroi Empire had in their days, when they truly had Freedom.
There was sadly, also Loroi who thought too much about the Acruani, hailing them as more than just saviors, primitively considering them gods. Though those people knew well enough to not ask the Acruani in their αWatches for they knew those Acruani they interacted with, even the Overseer of their whole race was nothing compared to the True Acruani as they heard even from the others. Some of these same Loroi were amazed when they heard about the Leader of the Acruani appearing for the Humans, others only thought he'd only appear where needed (these later were right at this specifically). But as to how the Leader of the Acruani looked like, all of them were surprised in a way or another. Though they guessed well enough, just considering Zara, Overseer of the Keltaken, that the Acruani could look as they wished. Some of these even wanted a 'True Acruani' to come to Loroi territory. The ones who did ask only got the answer that 'the Acruani as they looked where with and within them'.
The Invaders appearance, the Grand Alliance and the Human's referendum... all looked too small of an event for the Loroi to worry however. The Acruani were there with them, all would be fine. This was the feeling shared by the Loroi as a whole.
The Invaders once appeared over the sky of their capital... there were many who were affected by stray effects, but in the end, the Invaders retreated. The Acruani had them retreat though the exact happening was far beyond their rank. Not even Pelcar had access to the information and he even had a rank 5!! Though it was expected for him and the Overseer to get a promotion to their next ranks if the Loroi successfully lent help to the whole, the IIA and the Alliance in the future. And such was the only thought given to the Grand Alliance... otherwise it was only thought as... a mix even larger of the IIA of other races and the Acruani, though the relation was skewed in different ways.
The one event that hit them the wrong way, albeit very lightly, was the Human Referendum... they didn't know if they were merely disrepectful, idiots or had no amount of sense. Then again, they were humans. Driven by emotion and the shadows of their ideals. That was enough justification for them. (And if they didn't want to remain a part of the Collective, to grow with them, the Loroi certainly didn't mind it one bit. There were still those who tried... though some tried harder than others.)
