At last, after withstanding atleast an hour of Invader bombardment, the barrier shattered, with shards of solid energy crashing onto the Invader fleet. The Rabatorgovets were designed that way: If they shattered, they smashed specifically on the direction the Tigers holding are facing, hitting any enemy ship that might be in the way. But now, an actual victory is impossible due to the sheer numbers of the Invaders. ALready, atleast 3,000 of the Object 274's have been destroyed, and about 935 T-300's have fallen as well. The IS ships and Tigers, despite having such fantastic abilities, are too beginning to suffer losses. Atleast a hundred Tigers and 210 Iosif Stalin's have been destroyed, and those that remained are beginning to prepare for the massive explosion. They can only hope for an honorable death, where they will never be turned to Abyssal minions; rather, they will join their ancestors in the heavens. This thought they savored while overloading their energy cores in a final act of madness to destroy all of their foes in the area.
With the barrier gone, the fleet prepared for their glorious end: Every single ship began to overload their energy cores, and the fighters did the same thing as well. Only a few Soyuz fighters are to be left to witness the destruction from afar with their cameras, as they have safely snuck away well much below the raging battle. But now...
The fleet charged into the enemy formation, engines and weapons blazing before being well inside the enemy fleet. And in that moment, they all self-destructed with extreme violence and lit the area with a fiery glow, destroying almost everything in the place within seconds. All that perhaps remained are Abyssal ships that jumped in just after the explosion, and the Soyuz fighters that snuck away. The Battle of Line Gloria is finished. Tens of thousands of ships have been incinerated into nothing, and hundreds of thousands of crew and pilots, officers and such have died without a trace.
But the massive explosions would certainly, once again, catch the attention of the Colonials...
