Not even thinking for another moment, Alexander made a certain well known, black and red sword appear into his right hand, Mosrael appearing as usual, defying dimensional laws and other stuff like that. As he was gripping the sword, dark red, thorny vines appeared from its handle, wrapping around his hand and arm, the thorns piercing his dark shirt and his pale skin, getting to the blood. Alexander felt the entity known as the fire demon Mosrael entering into his mind.. he was now ready to fight. Ready to get Haruna back.
Jumping through the hole in the wall, the black haired Colonial pretty violently landed on the streets down below, starting to run towards the Colosseum. The alarms were raging all around the city, the people of Rome alerted by the unknown danger. But Alexander couldn't care less about that, as there was only one thing he was thinking about. Haruna. He had to save her, and those bastards were going to pay for whatever they did to her.
As he was running, Alexander saw the old arena of the Colosseum, still being there, defying time. But there was something wrong about it… in front of its main entrance, there were white, dead Invaders… under normal circumstances, he would have been cautious, but now…. he simply rushed towards the entrance… a couple of minutes later, he violently slaughtered them… and rushed into the Colosseum, his clothes stained in blood.
Running in, Alexander slowed down and looked around.. and there, in the other part of the arena, there was Haruna, tied up to a cross in chains, wearing sleeping robes, guarded by two strange, grey cloaked and hooded figures, and multiple dead Invaders, seemingly members of the hotel staff and members of die Feldgendarmerie. But what was even more strange, were the two figures wearing white robes and goods, staying in the place where in ancient times, Emperors had their thrones, watching the death games… and then, one of the figures motioned… and it started.
Dark columns of energy suddenly erupted around the Colosseum, surrounding it, and closing it from the outside world… the arena was now caught in a dark energy shield. The battles… could start.
“Haruna!”, Alexander shouted, as he started to run, trying to get to her. It wouldn't have been that easy to notice, but the place from where he entered the arena… it was the place where the free gladiators used to enter, to fight their challenging battles. And then… his opponent appeared. The cage doors behind Haruna suddenly oppened, and large, white, dead, lion like creature entered the arena… roaring, before it rushed, jumping on the unexpecting Colonial..

The lion burst through the cages, as one of the hooded creatures cracked a whip over it. Reddish lines seemed to run down it's body as it took a swipe at Alexander, the Colonial barely managing to dodge it's quick attack. As the lion finished it's pass, another creature, a tiger with pasty white skin, dashed from another cage. Leaping at Alexander, the Colonial barely managed to dodge as the claws ripped into the back of his shirt, barely missing flesh.
These were wild beasts, corrupted by the Invaders. Time shot back to Ancient Rome, where men and beasts for to the death. This time, it was Alexander versus these creatures.
However, Alexander held Mosrael. Even if the Invaders treated their thralls as appetizers, they're not even worth tasting.
A slash took out a paw of the lion, before Alexander dove to the ground, splitting the creature as a flash of fire erupted from Mosrael. The tiger came at Alexander again, and before the Colonial could react, was on the human's back, it's jaws open, resting on Alexander's neck...
...when it ate the blade of Mosrael. The Invaders, unmoving, seemed to have disappeared. The thralls however, began to advance on Alexander, as Haruna opened her eyes, seeing Alexander coming, she began to struggle against her bonds, pulling against the chains as they continued to burn into her. Seeing her struggle, two of the corpses began to climb the cross, their hands reaching out for the Jupiterran's pale legs, while the other four turned and charged Alexander, white arms flailing at him.

Even if he was wounded after the on the edge combat with the mutated lion and tiger, even if his shirt was most likely all shreds by now, and he was most likely bleeding, Alexander wasn't going to stop at all. Haruna was there... and she... she needed his help.
Taking a deep breath, Alexander calmed himself down, concentrating on feeling the sword in his right hand... ignoring the pain of his many scratches and cuts... and from where the thorns were piercing his arm.... he had to do this... and he had to do this now.
Focusing, Alexander made the black-red blade of Mosrael be engulfed in flames, another proof of the excellent matter and space transformation technology of the Ancients... or magic, as some called it, even if it was a technology, perfectly explicable from a scientific point of view, although millions of years more advanced than anything the humans had.
Rushing forward, Alexander parried the attack of the first corpse.. barely managing to avoid the attack of the second, and slashing his sword, cutting the third one in two just in time. The fourth though managed to stab the Colonial in the left arm with a knife, but Alexander's quick reflexes responded, the corpse ending up without a head a few moments later. Turning around, the black haired man barely managed to parry the attacks of the other two, using the knife that had just recently pierced his left arm by throwing it and the first, using this to his advantage to pierce the second one's chest, and cutting the first just enough to make him burn... a few minutes later, four burning dead bodies were on the ground, next to a heavy breathing Alexander.
Rushing forward, Alexander violently pierced one of the corpses that were trying to climb the cross, using him as a shield against the other one, pushing him away, and using his sword for a straight pierce through its head.. leaving two bodies dead on the sandy ground of the arena.
With all the others dead, Alexander stopped the flames around the blade, using the still hot sword to easily cut off the chains holding Haruna, dropping the sword and catching her as she fell off the cross, unprepared. "Are you alright? Did they do anything to you?", Alexander asked, worried. But it seemed that they didn't have too much time to talk... as the gray cloaked figures were slowly but surely approaching, as if they had appeared from nowhere.

"I... I'm alright..." Haruna whispered as her breathing steadied, the pain dissipating as she summoned Azarael once again. The blade glowed a light blue as it's vines wrapped around her arm, but not piercing, yet.
"Thank you." Haruna said as Alexander helped her up. She has sensed that these Invaders were not their usual cannon fodder. Strong, powerful, but not as strong as Sigma, Mu or Lamba, who she fought before. Sigma was still one of another level, and yes, there was payback to be had. Just as she stood, Haruna quickly pulled Alexander to the side, barely dodging the flying chain aiming for Alexander's neck.
Bracing herself, Haruna nodded at Alexander, who was again wielding Mosrael. Fires burned within Haruna, as her anger and rage turned into adrenaline and focus, her extraordinary subconsciousness suppressing her emotions into energy to be dispensed. Facing one of the Invaders and Alexander took the other, Haruna secured her robes tightly before charging forward, leading the way with her sword, forcing the Invader back as it swung it's chain again.
Wrapping against Azarael, the Invader gave a ghastly smile, until it saw the blade push forward, cleanly splitting the chains apart. Cursing in its abyssal language, the Invader pulled out its pistol, firing at Haruna whose reflexes managed to slow time enough to swing Azarael at speed, parrying bullets as they finally clashed, Invader versus Jupiterran.
The two hacked and slashed at each other at an incredible speed. Even Haruna, who was still not proficient with sword work, managed to keep up the press as Azarael now bit into her wrist, absorbing her blood as sword and wielded became one. Her eyes glowed a slight blue within her golden irises, Haruna dodged as the handgun was fired again at point blank range, nearly tearing her side but ripping a small hole in her robes instead. Ignoring the damage, Azarael chopped the pistol into two, as Haruna gave the Invader a kick to the face, gaining some space before she leapt forward, Azarael leading the way, before impaling the creature in the chest.
An unearthly scream echoed throughout the colosseum, as Haruna's opponent collapsed onto the ground. Panting as she collected herself, Haruna turned to the side, seeing how Alexander was doing...

As Haruna charged at one of the grey cloaked Invaders, Alexander took a deep breath, once again, allowing Mosrael to take control a little more. Thinking about it... the Invaders and the Ancient Swords seemed to work in a pretty similar way, didn't they? Especially while trying to take control of minds... but for some reason, right now, the demon didn't seem to be that malevolent. Under normal circumstances, he would have found it difficult to keep control, keeping Mosrael away, but the sword almost seemed to want to help him... this was something he really have to talk with her about later.
Concentrating on using his feelings of anger, turning the anger to fire, as Mosrael used to say, Alexander once again set his blade on fire, as the thorns on the vines that were wrapped around his arm pierced even deeper, the sword absorbing more and more blood. The Colonial felt the energy surging in... red appearing in his usual black irises, and he rushed froward, parrying the chain attack of the Invader in front of him. Chains appeared from the sandy ground, Alexander jumping over them, landing next to the Invader, who used his pistol to fire at the Colonial. Slashing his sword, Alexander repelled two of the bullets, but the third one hit him in the shoulder.
Ignoring the pain, as blood started to flow out of his wounded left shoulder, Alexander once again rushed forward, before more chains appeared around him, the Invader smirking... but reacting faster than a normal human could usually react, Alexander gripped Mosrael's handle with both of his hands, cutting all the chains in one slash. Before the Invader was even able to react, the black haired Colonial was in front of him, the grey cloaked figure barely managed to fire two more bullets, one of them grazing his cheek, before Alexander's sword cut in two not only the pistol, but also the Invader's hand.
Punching the Invader with his left hand in the face, Alexander pushed him back, forcing him to unsheathe his strange sword, but it was already too late. Alexander rolled to the side, and the Invader's sword hit the dirt, before the black-red blade of Mosrael pierced him from the side. Screaming in an almost unearthly way, the creature fell to the ground, before Alexander took his sword out, cutting its head off this time. The Invader fell dead on the ground of the arena.
Panting,Alexander slammed his sword into the dirt, perching on it a little as he tried to take deep breaths in order to calm himself down. Smiling, he looked at Haruna, as she had also killed her enemy. This seemed to have finished... or not. One of the two figures that were wearing white robes, who had watched everything from the lodge, took its hood down, revealing the partially angry expression of an old acquaintance, Mu. The Invader girl seemed to want to say something, before she turned around and strangely seemed to speak with the other figure, although it wasn't saying anything, the only voice heard being Mu's.
"I know Prior... but why can't I fight them? I know that I am only a Hecatontarch. But... you want to to fight them? Your wish is my command, Prior.", Mu said, bowing. The figure that was called a Prior suddenly made a motion with his right hand, and white chains appeared around Haruna, attacking her, before the cloaked figure jumped in the Arena, Mu remaining in the lodge. Rushing towards Haruna, the figure made something that looked like a long, white halberd appear in his hands, as he attacked..

Haruna sighed in relief as Alexander defeated his enemy. Smiling, Haruna was about to make her way towards him when chains appeared in thin air around her, streaking out and aiming for her limbs. Acquainted with fighting against the things which she absolutely hated, Haruna parried them as more appeared. Suddenly, a cloaked figure appeared in front of her, it's fist hammering into her stomach, causing Haruna to choke as her breath was blasted out of her.
The impact sent her flying several meters away, and even as she heard Alexander charging across the sand, the figure struck again, with chains, fist and feet as Azarael slashed the chains away, only to have her guard lowered for a palm strike into the center of her chest, a soft crunching sound coming from the blow as Haruna collapsed onto the sand. She was in pain, with her chest hammered by that strike, and out of the fight. Standing over her, the figure summoned more chains, binding Haruna's limbs and locking her spread-eagle.
Looking at Alexander, an unearthly laugh could be heard as the figure placed a foot on Haruna's stomach, before slamming it once, causing the Jupiterran to scream in pain.
Such a lovely sound, dont you think, Colonial? Imagine here, we defeat two humans who have the capability to turn this war around...

Angered. the Colonial rushed forward, parrying the chains that appeared from the ground to hold him, and before the white robed figure could react, the Colonial slashed his sword at him, only to be parried by the figure's long halberd. The violent fight continued, Alexander trying to push forward, but being in a clear disadvantage. Not only did the figure seemed to be incredibly fast, moving around with that long halberd as if it was nothing, but Alexander also had to continuously avoid the chains that seemed to appear from everywhere. Even so, desperate, Alexander was fighting, trying to push the figure away from the chained Haruna- he wasn't going to allow that bastard to hurt her anymore.
As Haruna was laying chained on the dusty ground of the arena, probably in pain, she could suddenly see someone looking at her from above. More specifically, a certain red eyed girl, with her long, red hair caught in twintails. Mosrael. "Well, well, it seems that you are quite in the middle of a difficult situation, aren't you?", the red haired demon asked, smirking. "Wouldn't it be so nice if someone would be able to help you?... Oh wait, I can." Giggling, the girl touched the chains, and in a couple of chains, the chains burned down, disappearing, leaving Haruna free. But... it was too late, as a laughter was heard from the other part of the arena.
Turning around to parry a chain, Alexander made the mistake of leaving himself open for the fraction of a second- enough for the white cloaked figure to take advantage of it. Before the black eyed Colonial was even able to react, the figure slashed his halberd at the Colonial.. Alexander stopped. Unable to fully understand what was happening, he dropped his sword, and touched the rather large wound that had formed on his chest, blood staining his hand. A couple moments later, without even being able to say anything, the Colonial fell on the ground in a pool of blood.
The figure simply laughed, and snapped its fingers. Suddenly, the energy field around the Colosseum broke in a bright explosion of light, and when Haruna and Mosrael were finally able to open their eyes again, the figure and Mu had disappeared... but Alexander was still wounded, on the ground...

"ALEXANDER!!!" Haruna screamed as she crawled towards the Colonial. Mosrael has freed her, but she was still in pain by the cloaked figure's attacks. Making it over, Alexander was on the ground, hardly breathing, with that wide gaping wound on his chest. Haruna has no healing abilities, nor her medalist. She was helpless. Leaning over Alexander as Mosrael looked on, Haruna wept as she hugged Alexander. Squeezing him, hoping for a response. None came.
"Alexander..." Haruna whispered, looking at his face, before burying her face into his shoulder, crying and wailing. "We still... Had so much to do... So much to do together..." Haruna wailed as she shook the Colonial. "Growing together... Serving under you... Ending the war..."
The Jupiterran continued to wail, her eyes tightly shut. She did not notice Alexander's fingers twitch, nor did she notice his wounds closing.
"Getting married..." Haruna whispered, her exhausted self lying on Alexander.

Slowly, Alexander woke up, feeling Haruna as she was hugging him, and hearing her last words... for a few moments, the black haired Colonial remained quiet, remembering the pain he had felt when the Invader slashed at him with the halberd... for a few moments, he really thought that he was going to die. But it seemed... that the time for him to die hadn't come yet. None of the vital organs had been destroyed... so the curse, or the blessing, known as the Genesis Genome, started to regenerate the damaged cells... healing his wound.
"Let's never do something as stupid as fighting in the Colosseum again... alright?", Alexander said in a low voice, as he slowly hugged Haruna back.

Haruna blinked, surprised by a voice... His voice! Snapping up as Alexander hugged her, Haruna saw that his wounds have slowly closed, and that he was looking right at her. Choking back her tears, Haruna smothered Alexander with a tight hug, spending the next few moments resting on him, wanting some peace.
A peace broken when Haruna sensed people crowding around the Colosseum. Still outside, a crowd was gathering as they saw the flash of light. Not wanting to be seen, Haruna quickly pulled Alexander, sparing a glance at Mosrael who gave her a wink and licked her lips before disappearing, heading towards an exit where Haruna knew was still devoid of people. Although she attracted some stares with her appearance, especially when barely dressed in such a sleeping robe, Haruna practically ran back to the hotel, with Alexander in tow.
The police were present, but questions and answers were fired back and forth quickly. Thankfully, the KOLSI were present to usher the local investigators aside, allowing the remaining staff to relocate the guests to another hotel.
In their room, the adrenaline of the attack and fighting rescinded from their blood as Alexander and Haruna lay side by side, exhausted from the day's events and their celebration of the other being alive. Slowly tying her robe back on, Haruna felt Alexander grab her from behind, prompting Haruna to squeal as she allowed him to pull her back onto the bed.
"Ahh Alexander baka~" Haruna complained as she fended off Alexander's tickles. Turning to face him, Haruna gave him a hug, and a kiss.
"It's time to go soon... I... thank you for everything in Terra. The sights, the dinner, and... saving me..." Haruna whispered as she lay her head on Alexander's chest.

Alexander smiled. Even if they ended up fighting Invaders and got wounded in the very end, that still didn't change the fact that their unfortunately maybe a little too short holiday on Terra, was extremely nice and relaxing. But yeah, unfortunately, their break was coming to an end. Apparently, rumors said that a meeting between various intergalactic leaders was going to be held, in order to discuss the current situation of the civilized nations in this part of the universe, threatened by the Invaders. There was also no wonder that the meeting was probably also going to discuss the tense situation in the Milky Way. And even if he had no wish to go to that meeting, Alexander was sure that the Hegemon, or Cardinal, or both were going to "force" him to go. And most likely, Haruna was going to also go there with the delegation of the Star Fleet. That's why, they soon had to leave Earth...
"You're welcome.", the Colonial said smiling."Don't worry about it, as long as this made you happy, it made me happy too.". Alexander then remained quiet for a few moments, simply enjoying the relaxing feeling of being near the girl he loved. "Let's come to Earth again sometime... okay?"

"Yes... Let's come back one day." Haruna said, as she disengaged herself from Alexander, to go for a shower, before coming out and playfully letting him enjoy the view as she changed back into her casual clothes.
"At least the things we bought for Prinz survived." Haruna said as they sat in the transport, heading for the space docks where the Prinz Eugen was moored. Soon, Haruna would receive her orders for being part of the Jupiterran-Relikan Star Fleet's delegation to an Intergalactic Conference, with Gaius, Kanzaki, Gavin and Sarah.

"Yeah, at least that.", Alexander said, smiling. The Prinz Eugen had come to take them from Earth, the Colonial battleship being docked into one of Earth's orbital towers. Right now, the couple was in a transport running off Earth's orbital ring, taking them from the tower above Area 5, to the tower above Area 1, the main dock hub of Terra. The transport was moving pretty fast, so they soon reached the tower. But strangely enough, there were soldiers waiting for them at the station.
As the transport stopped into the station, seeing the soldiers, Alexander instinctively touched his pistol, even if the soldiers were Colonial... before he saw who commanded them, and calmed down. The Colonial helped Haruna out of the transport as soon as the doors opened, and then, a voice could be heard.
"Well, well, you go on a date on Earth, and you didn't tell me that you came here with your girlfriend? What kind of a friend are you, Alexander?", a man said, as he stepped forward from behind the soldiers. A rather tall man, who seemed to be around 30 years old, although his hair was already gray. He was wearing a more casual light blue uniform, and seemed to have a rather high position, judging by the number of bodyguards/soldiers. What was the strangest about him were the black sunglasses he was wearing, even if they were inside an orbital tower, far away from any natural light.
Seeing him, Alexander smiled, approaching the man and shaking his hand. The Colonial then looked at Haruna. "Haruna, this is Gustav Nachtigal, the Temporary Colonial Governor of Earth, and also, an old friend of mine."
The grey haired mine smiled, looking in the general direction of Haruna. "Nice to meet you, Miss Shimazaki. Alexander here must be a lucky guy, I've heard stories about your beauty, but unfortunately, I can't check it myself". By the way he was speaking and acting... those black glasses weren't there against the sun. He was blind.
"I would like to apologize for what happened in Rome. I don't know how those Invaders got through, we're still investigating, but I would like to apologize in the name of the entire Colonial forces on Earth.", Governor Nachtigal said, bowing.

Haruna smiled at Governor Nachtigal, before moving forward to clasp his hands, giving them a firm shake. By doing that, Haruna also had a physical connection to imprint her image into Nachtigal's mind, something she had to do a lot during her days as an idol in Jupiterra. Back then, thousands of people spend days queuing to have a handshake, with Haruna imprinting her image in their minds so they would no longer need to attend a live concert or a live photoshoot to catch a glimpse of her. Of course, the image disappears after a month when Haruna decides so, but for people whom she feels she can trust, Haruna doesn't mind giving them more of her image.
"No, it's not the fault of the government. No one knows how the Invaders strike, and it is likely that they would strike anywhere in such a manner. It's good that we survived, but everyone must remain strong for those who lost their lives during the attack. From here, we can only grow stronger." Haruna said, giving Nachtigal's hands a firm grip and shake. She was serious, this way. The millions who received her handshake would describe it as a fleeting feeling, but here, Haruna gripped it firmly, the proper way.

At the beginning, the Governor seemed to be fairly surprised by the handshake, but he kept his calm composure, smiling. He remained quiet for a few moments, since he clearly wasn't able to see images in his mind like that every day. "You're right, Miss Shimazaki. At least, because of that attack, we found out that the Invaders can infiltrate human populations, and this will help us in enhancing the security of our planets. Though, even if it wasn't necessarily our fault, I'm sorry that your holiday on Terra had to end in such a way."
Then, one of the soldiers approached the Governor, whispering something in his ear. The Colonial official sighed. "Well, I would certainly like to spend more time talking, but unfortunately, I am recalled again to Area 1. We are negotiating a new constitution for Earth... and I'm fairly sure that winning the war against the Invaders would be easier than ending up a successful negotiation with Terran officials.". The Colonial sighed again. "I hope we'll meet again, Alexander, Miss Shimazaki.", he said, saluting.
After the Colonial Governor left, Alexander and Haruna started to walk towards the dock where the Prinz Eugen was going to arrive. Alexander... he seemed to be... troubled by something, as he eventually spoke. "Governor Nachtigal... he was in the same group as me back then, together with the many others who were forced in those military camps by the junta that was leading the Colonies. His blindness.. he was blinded by a white phosphorus grenade, one that was meant for me. It was night, and I didn't notice it in time.. but he did and pushed me away."
