Seeing the cockroaches jumping on Haruna, Alexander desperately tried to fight his way to her, but the enemies were just... too many. Alexander and Prinz were desperately fighting the cockroaches and the spider behind them, the natives, led by Waya, were fighting a desperate and bloody close combat with the humanoid mutants. But slowly and surely, Alexander, Prinz and the natives were pushed away from Haruna by the enemies, and at a certain point, Prinz itself was overwhelmed, as a cockroach jumped over her, the blonde ship model trying to keep its teeth away from her. Even if as a ship model, Prinz was much more stronger than a normal human, that was a mutated cockroach... for a few moments, it seemed clear that they were going to lose, and probably die here, in an unknown metro station of a dead planet. Almost all hope was lost... until the clear sound of a machine gun firing was heard.
Much to everyone's surprise, about twenty soldiers wearing the nanosuits of the Colonial Star Forces and of the Colonial Army, some armed with rifles, some with machine pistols, and one with a heavy machine guns, appeared from somewhere back in the tunnel, and started to open fire. They were clearly... old, with their suits visibly not in the best state. But they were still Colonial soldiers. And here is where the training and discipline of the Star Guards and of the Heer came into place.
With precise bursts and shots of their weapons, the Colonials started to kill the cockroaches one by one, the heavy machine gun taking care of the humanoid mutants. Seizing the opportunity, as the cockroach he was fighting with fell under the bullets of the soldiers, Alexander rushed to Prinz's side, who was closer, piercing the back of the cockroach, staining his suit with its dirty blood, but helping Prinz. The green eyed ship model then stood up, helped by Alexander, and as they looked at what the soldiers were doing, they realized their tactic. A line by line tactic from the manual of the Heer.
Seeing the new attackers, the humanoid mutants turned against their new enemies, making the severe mistake of attacking them almost head on. Using this, Alexander and Prinz led the natives into an attack from behind, catching the mutants between their melee attacks and the fire of the soldiers, practically slaughtering them. But then, the spider came into attack. Alexander stepped forward, and parried its attacks, as the spider tried to kill him, probably led by the humanoid inside. But then, one of the soldiers took out something that looked like a small missile launcher- the portable Panzerfaust. Seeing that, Alexander jumped aside, even if the spider managed to cut him on the back. A few seconds later, the spider was hit by a small explosive missile, effectively ending it, and turning into a pile of burning meat and blood.
Ignoring the pain, Alexander quickly stood up, and cut in two the cockroaches that were over Haruna, while the soldiers and Prinz took care of the other few who remained. The fight, short but bloody, was over. Over a half of the natives had died, and Waya was lightly wounded. The soldiers lost two of them.
Just as Alexander knelt next to Haruna, trying to see if she was alright, the soldiers approached them, stopping right in front, and saluting, as nothing happened. Most of them looked fairly old, probably in their mid fifties.
"Herr Grossadmiral!", one of them, the guy with the machine gun, seemingly their leader, started to say, seeing Alexander's rank. "The survivors of the Colonial Expedition of Terra Nova, 18 men, reporting!"
In front of them were standing the last 18 survivors of the ten thousand men expedition to Terra Nova.

Haruna winced in pain as blood slowly dripped from her wound, a gash just below her ribs made by a claw sinking into her soft flesh. Regardless, the appearance of the reinforcements proved to save the depleted group. Over half of the native band fell, and some of their reinforcements were taken down too.
"I... I'm still alright." Haruna said as she took out her bottle of paste, only to realise that she's running out. Thankfully, there's another tube of paste in the same container as her syringes.
Looking up at the group of soldiers, Haruna gave them a salute as she stood, greeting them before passing the tube to Prinz to aid the wounded natives.
"Vice-Admiral Shimazaki Haruna here. This is Great Admiral Alexander Werther. We thank you for saving us." Haruna said. "How did you all know we were here? What happened during your expedition?"

"I'm glad you're okay..", Alexander said, looking at her. The situation had been a little desperate, but even if some of them had died, they managed to survive. Everything was alright. For now.
The Colonial officer would have started to speak with the old soldiers, but Prinz quickly reminded him that he was also wounded, and started to use the past to tend his wounds, before moving to the natives. The Colonial with the heavy machine gun started to speak again.
"God bless the Federated Colonies, Vizeadmiral Shimazaki Haruna.", the one who looked like an Unteroffizier said. "You don't need to thank us for saving you, this is our duty. We were patrolling in a city a little further away from here, before we detected the signal from that frozen computer. The problem is, it was turned off initially, so we figured that someone or something must have activated it, and we came to check. Luckily, we came in time"
The old officer than made another pause. Prinz had finished tending on Alexander's wounds, and was now helping Waya.
"We arrived her under the direct orders of the Hegemon... the former Hegemon I suppose. It's been almost 20 years. Our ships stationed in the orbit, and then we started to have bad luck after bad luck. Many of us died.. and eventually, the reactor of the flagship went through a critical meltdown.. we had to escape.. but we crashed on the planet. We managed to escape to the underground, bunkers, metros, where we could manage the radiation... but something started to hunt us. I can't say what it was... soon afterwards, that thing killed and froze our leader, over there.", he said, pointing at the frozen blue eyed boy. "That strange ice resisted, and we never took him out of that.. probably hoping that if we will ever make it out from here, the Science Division could help him. He's frozen.. and with the proper medical care... but that's probably just a dream. After that, our group disbanded... we spread... we survived, but one by one, all died... until only we remained."

Haruna nodded as she listened to the soldier's explanation. Twenty years in such an environment... it's a miracle that they even survived... Probably a testament to Colonial training and willpower, Haruna doubted if the Jupiterrans were even equipped to survive in such an environment.
"We were hunted too, as soon as we arrived here..." Haruna replied. "It seems like the mutations caused much more damage to some... I doubt that these humanoids were even human to begin with..."
Looking at the frozen body, Haruna nodded. "It would seem that your commander's youth is preserved. With sufficient care we might be able to restart his heart. However, we are looking for the Great Archive. The Milky Way is under attack again, and we need every bit of help we can muster, and if it is my place to ask, we need your help too."

While surviving in such an environment for so long could have been extremely difficult for anyone else, these people were elite Star Guards, trained from a young age, in order to fight and win the battles of the Federated Colonies anywhere, at any time. That, plus the special modifications they had received for this mission, had allowed them to survive in the extensive underground network of the Terra Nova. A truly impressive feat, even for them.
"He is the only reason for why we managed to survive the disaster that happened in the orbit. If not for him, we would have also died him. He might have been young, but he was a good officer.", the same Unteroffizier said. "Of course, Frau Vizeadmiral. You don't even need to ask. Even if we spent 20 years in this hellhole, we still serve the Federated Colonies. We will help you. But if I may, who is attacking the Milky Way?"
Alexander answered."The Invaders... yeah, they may have been a story when you left, but they're back... and a lots of thing have happened ever since you left. We need the information in the Great Archive more than anything." The old Unteroffizier than looked at at the Colonial. "Einverstanden, Herr Grossadmiral. The Great Archive was one of objectives when we initially arrive, but we have always lacked the force to get it. But now, with two Ancient Sword users..". The old Colonial then remained quiet for a few more moments. "The Capitolium is protected by a huge shield... Frau Vizeadmiral, do you know how to jump and land with a parachute?"

Haruna looked at the Unteroffizier, before scratching her head through the suit for a moment.
"Hmm... yeah... I did go through Parajumping during my training as a marine. I'd guess that some shield are penetrable only by objects small or slow enough?" Haruna said, racking her brains for the counter-shield techniques they were taught in the Academy.
"Wait..." Haruna said, her eyes growing wide. "We... we are jumping through... a Shield?"

"That's true, Frau Vizeadmiral.", the Unteroffizier said. Alexander simply remained quiet, listening. He was in the Fleet, so planetary operations weren't his forte point. Great Admiral or not, he was leaving this in the care of someone that really seemed to know what he was doing, the Star Guard Unteroffizier.
"This is an old type Colonial shield we are talking about. A slow and small object, like a human parachuting, has all the chances to make it through, especially since the shield hasn't been calibrated in the last centuries or so. We can't simply walk in the city unfortunately, since just like Aquileia, someone, or something, activated its land defenses. They're also old and not calibrated, but parachuting in would give us much higher chances of success than going through the front door."
The Unteroffizier than took out something that looked like a holo projector, that clearly was a lot more older than the current Colonial technology. Activated, the projector showed a huge city, and by huge, it was simply gigantic. The Capitolium... the former Capital City of the Colonies.
"We can take one of those old things here in Aquleia, I think that it was called an airplane or something. Nevertheless, we can use it to fly above the city, and then jump with parachutes right in the Great Forum, a few mere kilometers away from the Great Archive. We might be met with FLAK fire... but yeah, it would be the easiest way in."
While talking, the Unteroffizier showed them everything on the map. "Vizeadmiral, do you think that you can do it? No offense, but you don't look Colonial.. so I assume that you didn't had the same amount of training Herr Grossadmiral has."

Haruna nodded as she listened to the Unteroffizer's briefing, scanning the Capital and it's outskirts. Jupiternius City, the Capital of Jupiterra, was only slightly bigger, enough to hold nearly ten billion souls in residential, commercial and recreational zones. Most of the production facilities lay in space or in another part of Jupiterra, but a mock replica of the city was set up on the other side of Jupiterra to allow Jupiterran marines to train in all sorts of environments. The plan was audacious, daring, but Haruna was willing to take it on. She was looking forward to it.
"Well, I do have basic training like parachuting and survival... basic close-quarter combat and handgun training. After all, I joined the military only five years ago, and spent most of my time on star ships. Operations like these... are the Star Fleet's weaknesses..."

The Capitolium itself had followed the main ideology of Terra Nova, which was that humans had to live in harmony with the nature. That's why, the Colonial Government largely discouraged the building of large cities to scar the surface of the planet. The Capitolium was only as large as it was because it hosted the main institutions of the Federated Colonies. The First Colonial Senate, the First Hegemonic Palace, the Great Archive, the Hippodrome... of course, just like the rest of the planet, the city had been built in a complete harmony with the nature, using only renewable energy sources, and literally being filled with trees, flowers, and plants. In the past, it was considered one of the most beautiful cities in the galaxy... before the Twilight... before the death of the nature...before the death of the planet. "The Star Fleet... I see. Many things must have changed if the Colonies and the Star Fleet are cooperating", the Unteroffizier said."Anyway, that sure explains it. We can certainly take care of ourselves... and by how he fought during the battle, I assume that Herr Grossadmiral took part in one of the more.. brutal Military Academies. But don't worry Fraulein, we will protect you if needed. That's our job after all." Alexander sighed. It was true that during the time he was a student there, the Colonial Military Academies were even more brutal then usually, and this woke up some memories he had no intention to remember again. "I can handle myself. Both parachuting and parachuting into enemy lines were included in what I was taught. I can also take care of the piloting, but that means that I'll have to jump the last. Let's just hope that there won't be any FLAK's, I'm not in the mood for jumping between AA fire." "Alright... I suppose that your native friends will return to their homes?", the Unteroffizier said, looking at the natives. Waya though made a step forward. "My people will return to their homes, but I will come, in the name of my tribe.", the orange eyed girl said, much to everyone's surprise. "We'll just have to show her how to jump with a parachute.. well, let's go." With that, they started heading though the tunnels, to their target... the hangar at the port
After some more time, they finally found their way out of the complicated underground network, and arrived somewhere inside Aquielia, in front of something that looked like an old, small airport. Most of its hangars were destoryed, and its control tower was on the verge of collapse. Certainly not in its best state. But one of the hangars still seemed to have a rather large plane in it.
Arriving at the hangar, they could see that the rather large plane was a luxury civilian airplane. Terra Nova Luxury Airlines. Old, the plane was supposed to carry 200 people during its Golden Age, only 1st Class. "Clearly not the best suited plane for a paradropping operation.... but yeah, we'll do what we can.", the Unteroffizier said as they stopped in front of it. "Let's equip the parachutes, we'll start it and make the debriefing in the air. We have to hurry, night is coming. "
As the Colonial soldiers were checking on the plane, everyone had already equipped the parachutes. Alexander stopped near Haruna and started to talk. "Haruna..", the Colonial said, " Could you take care of Prinz and Waya during the jump? I know that you're not exactly the best paratrooper, but I'll have to jump the last and.. they're not exactly the best paratroopers around. I've also asked the soldiers to protect you and them, but still... be careful.". Alexander then made a pause. "I'm the pilot, I'll jump the last. We might be under heavy AA fire. No matter what happens, jump whether I make it or not, alright?

Haruna looked at Alexander as she considered the odds. Surely it would be a tough descent, and there would be no guarantee of success. No longer were they onboard the Kongou or the Prinz Eugen, but all they had were themselves. Even if Haruna wanted to stay with Alexander, she knew her duty, and her command from the Great Admiral.
Without warning, Haruna just hugged Alexander, holding him tightly. Even under the stares of the others, Haruna just held on, squeezing him tight.
"You'll make it." Haruna said. "We'll go back together... Alexander. You'll bring me out on a date on Terra... won't you?" She whispered, tears appearing on the edge of her eyes as she buried her face in Alexander's chest.

Alexander tightly hugged Haruna back, trying to calm her down. "We'll both make it, alright?", the Colonial said, in the same low voice."We'll both make it, find the Archive, take what we want with us, then save Waya's tribe and return to the Prinz Eugen. After that, I'll bring you ou on a date on Terra. I promise." After calming her down, Alexander used his hand to wipe her tears off, and hugged her again."Everything will be alright. Okay?". Even if the Colonial soldiers, Prinz, and Waya were more or less looking at them, Alexander kissed the golden eyed girl,a long, deep kiss. "Let's do this.", he said, smiling,
With a little bit of difficulty, the Colonial Guards managed to restart the airplane's engines, and everyone entered, ready for the mission. The Guards, Haruna, Prinz, and Waya were all in the middle of the plane, among the old luxury seats, near the large trap door, ready to jump when needed. Alexander was the only one in the front of the plane, in the cockpit, in the most dangerous position. He had to pilot the plane above the city, among the FLAK fire, and jump out as the last one. It was the most dangerous job...but he was the only one with atmospheric flight knowledge, so the only one able to do it...
The plane accelerated on the runway, and hesitantly took off, with Alexander piloting it. On their way there, everyone remained quiet. This was going to be more than dangerous... this was insane. Pararopping on a city with a shield and AA defenses, from a civilian luxury airliner... but they had to do it..
"Approaching target area. Enemy FLAK's are on. We have to make this quick. Good luck, everyone..", Alexander's voice was heard through the speakers."Alright people, you'll see that there is a big ass crater right in the middle of the Capitolium, where the Great Forum used to be. That's where the Ragnarok Nuclear Device hit it, wiping out almost the entire central area. We'll jump in it, since it's the only part not covered with buildings. Let's do this.."
The Unteroffizier opened the door. They were approaching the city. The fast paced sounds of the enemy FLAK's were clearly heard all around. And then... hell broke loose. The plane started to shake almost uncontrollably, as Alexander was trying to avoid the AA fire. They were closing in... as the moments passed slowly..... the AA rounds exploding in the air..... Now!
The first soldiers jumped, then the next wave, then Prinz and Waya, and right when Haruna was about to jump too, the plane was violently hit, and an explosion was heard, throwing her back in the plane. Hit in the tail, the plane started to fall chaotically...
"Sorry.", the Unteroffizier said as he more or less violently threw Haruna out the door, seconds before the entire back part of the airplane exploded, most likely killing him. The front part was crashing to the ground, with Alexander still in it, desperately trying to pull it back up, and Haruna was falling among the AA fire...

One moment she was thrown to the side, the other, Haruna was flying through the air, downwards. To her horror, the plane was going down, and Alexander... Alexander was still in it. However, he was the second thing in her mind, as Haruna plummeted through the air, towards Terra Nova...
Free falling was one of Haruna's most hated part of parajumping, as she barely managed to hit a perfect altitude to pull her parachute cord. However, with gunfire erupting all around them, Haruna was kind of... Glad... That she has speed on her side. Timing her fall, Haruna saw the ground appear and the flashes of gunfire before she pulled her cord, the huge chute slowing her down as she passed through the area shield. For a moment, there was silence, before a puff of black smoke appeared not far from her side.
They were trying to hit her with their cannon.
Quickly, Haruna drew her pistol as she tried to fire back at the cannon tearing the plane apart. Switching to laser, she tried to keep a steady aim on the gun as she swung side to side, radioactive winds buffeting her body together with the force from the flak bursts. Her shots were coming closer to their targets, and she gave a victorious yell when her target suddenly exploded in a shower of sparks from a direct hit to the ammunition storage.
Hey joy was short-lived, however, when a shell suddenly exploded directly above her, peppering her parachute with shrapnel, slicing one of her guiding cords and causing her to fall in an uncontrollable spin. Haruna could not hear the cries of Prinz or Waya as she spiraled down towards Terra Nova, away from the designated landing zone.
It seemed like an eternity, until Haruna felt a jerk as her chute got caught on some power lines. Hanging about three feet from the ground, the Jupiterran quickly drew Azarael as she sliced the harness, not wasting time to take them off properly. Collapsing on the ground in a heap, Haruna gave a cry of pain as her ankle collapsed under her weight. Pushing the pain away, Haruna quickly got onto her feet as she observed a nearby flak gun, still giving hell to the Colonial forces.
Azarael in one hand, her pistol on the other, Haruna crept forward silently, keeping out of sight from several sentries. Humanoid sentries.
Slowly, she approached the gun position, before taking a deep breath, and firing her pistol. The laser struck a humanoid in the head, instantly dropping it, another bolt hitting dropping a second. Haruna kept up her fire as the weapon seemed to overheat, before switching to its ballistic mode. Killing another two humanoids, Haruna found the ammunition cache, aiming her pistol when an arrow struck her in her side. The nanosuit managed to keep most of the force out, but the projectile still sank deep into her side, causing Haruna to double over in pain. Tears welling up in her eyes as she thought of the burning plane, Haruna raised her pistol again, before sending a slug flying towards the ammunition.
The resulting explosion blasted the girl off her feet, causing Haruna to knock her head against the wall, stunning her. The nanosuit was nearly shattered, as it's integrity was compromised by the damage it took over the course of the operation. Shadows of creatures could be seen around her, as Haruna instinctively raised her Azarael to parry the thrust of a spear. Her counterattack impaled her attacker, but another humanoid jumped onto her it's dagger scraping against her shoulder as it sank into her flesh. A shot rang out, Haruna's last bullet, when she felt feelers wrapping themselves around her feet. As she was pulled towards the mutated cockroach, Haruna, screaming in defiance, jumped to her feet as she thrust her sword into the creature's head, before swinging and disemboweling another cockroach. Humanoids surrounded her, throwing spears with unerring accuracy which only Azarael could deflect. Time would take it's toll, when another of those spider creatures crawled up to an exhausted Haruna, her nanosuit broken, and only Azarael's presence keeping her alive in the radiation.
Breathing heavily, Haruna, bleeding and weakened, saw the spider stop right infront of her. Mustering her strength, she swung Azarael, or thought to, when the creature's mandibles sank into her waist, the human on top of the spider's body grabbing onto her sword arm. Gasping for air, Haruna felt the poison enter her, pumping paralyzing agents into her bloodstream. Her eyes rolled up as she collapsed, the image of a black haired Colonial in her mind as she slowly faded away...

As the airplane was hit by the AA and its tail exploded, it started to fall almost uncontrollably. In the cockpit, Alexander was desperately trying to keep it up, without success however. This wasn't one of the Jupiterran things with mental control, and it wasn't a Colonial thing with holographic screens, this was an old fashioned airplane, and after a few precious seconds lost to look at the many small indicators, until he finally realized that the hydraulic connections in the back of the plane had been completely severed. The hydraulic system was lost, so he had just lost the ability to control the plane. Even so, he desperately attempted to force the plane back up, hoping, like many other pilots of old airplanes did, that maybe, maybe there was a little hydraullic liquid left somewhere, but unfortunately, it wasn't. He had no idea what had happened to the others, so he wasn't able to see Haruna jump. After around another minute, he had finally abandoned the fight, and prepared to run away, right before a few AA rounds hit the plane in the front, breaking the cockpit from the rest of the plane through a giant explosion. Alexander was thrown into the air..
Vaguely coming back to his senses a few moments later, Alexander realized that he was falling, falling, falling... with debris falling all around him too, and the enemy AA firing at him. More as if this was some sort of a dream, he managed to pull the cord, activating the parachute, slowing down his free fall. But it was a little bit too late, the FLAK's had already noticed him and were firing. Once again, vaguely, he managed to materialize Mosrael. He was bleeding from somewhere, and he was in pain, near to the point of losing consciousness... but the demon girl of fire helped him this time too. He felt her taking control of his hand, blocking the incoming AA rounds, slicing them and repelling them, until he finally, more or less alive, managed to land in the crater somewhere, passing out immediately..
Some time later, the Colonial was suddenly woke up boy someone who was hugging him, and opened his eyes only to see a desperate Prinz. Slowly patting her head and telling her that he was okay, Alexander managed to look around, still feeling all sore and in pain after the fall that had almost ended in his dead. He had a deep cut in his back, and various other places where shrapnel had pierced him, but his native healing abilities, plus a little bit of the creme the ship model had applied, managed to mostly heal them, the nanosuit regenerating its broken parts after that. Looking around, Alexander realized that they had lost three more soldiers, the Unteroffizier among them and... where is Haruna?
Saying the last part out loud, Alexander stood up, despite Prinz's attempt to make him rest a little more. He looked around, desperate, and after that at Prinz and at Waya, who were looking really sad. "Haruna.... Haruna didn't make it.", the blonde ship model said, on the verge of tears. "Her parachute was hit by an AA round during the fall, and she landed somewhere else, during the buildings...we... we lost her. We think that... the mutants have her...'
Not even thinking for a moment, Alexander took his sword from the ground in an almost mechanical gesture, and started to walk away, trying to go and search for her, before he was suddenly hit by one of the soldiers, a Stabsgefreiter, with the back of his rifle in the face. Taken by surprise, Alexander fell on the floor, his nose bleeding. In times like this, when a soldier was about to do something dangerous without thinking, pain was the best way to stop him.
"Wake up, Herr Grosssadmiral! The mission is still going on!", the old Stabsgefreiter said, now as the highest in rank among the soldiers. Just like always, on land, the officers from the fleet were inferior to the officers, or in this case, the highest in rank of the Star Guards. It was only normal. The Fleet was fighting up in the space, the land was the specialty of the Star Guards. "The mutants will come after us! We need to lose them in the city! We have to get to the Great Archive, that's the objective! You're a Colonial officer, young man! Wake up! Your girlfriend is somewhere else, deal with it! You can't let your personal feelings get in here!", the Stabsgefreiter said, underlining his words with another hit with the back of his rifle, completely waking Alexander up. For a few moments, he remained quiet, unsure on what to do... he really wanted to go after Haruna... it was hurting him not to... but... he had other responsibilities too. He had to make sure that at least the others would survive... and that they would accomplish their mission. That was... that was probably what his father would have done. And if Haruna was still alive... he was going to go search for her after they found the Archive. He promised her that he was going to bring her out on a date on Terra... and he was going to keep that promise.
"Let's go...", Alexander said in a low voice. "Let's find the Great Archive.", Alexander said, looking devastated. "Jawohl, Herr Grossadmiral!", the Stabsgefreiter said, saluting as if nothing had happened. A few minutes later, just as the mutants reached the large crater, the Colonials were gone, heading for the Great Archive...

Haruna woke to the sound of dripping water. Opening her eyes, she realised that the place was dark. Realising that her suit was gone, Haruna panicked for a moment before she felt Azarael by her side. Apparently, the humanoids did not dare to touch it, or were unable to. Looking around, Haruna realised that she was bound on something, a thick pipe, as humanoids, spideroids and mutated cockroaches mulled around her. Occasionally, a humanoid would snarl in her face, but they did not dare to touch her. Straining her eyes, Haruna could see a vault in front of her. A huge vault. Something which only information of great worth and value could be stored inside.
The Great Archive.
She was looking at it. Their objective, even if Haruna was captured and in enemy territory, was in front of Haruna. A sigh escaped her lips as Haruna felt a little bit of relief. All seemed calm amidst her predicament, until Haruna... until Haruna saw it.
4.bp.blogspot.com/-s3F0YD7y_qY/VFw8ESK-_1I/AAAAAAAAAvI/5FdMA8EG_Nc/s1600/cthulhu_from_space_by_trufanov-d5i64w4.jpg
Levitating several inches off the ground, the creature came over to Haruna, a terrifying presence surrounding it as fear crept into the Jupiterran's heart. It's tentacles slowly drifted towards her face, prodding, attaching themselves against her pale skin. Every touch seemed to turn her face into ice, every fibre of her skin shrinking away from the tingling sensation of the purple tentacles. Haruna, realising that she has no place to run, controlled her breathing as she fought to stay calm. Slowly, the creature's hands moved to her waist, eliciting a cry of pain as it gripped onto the arrow buried into her side, while the other hand sunk it's fingers into her flesh. For a moment, the creature seemed to grasp her uninjured side, just before it's other hand ripped the projectile from her body, Haruna screaming as the barbed arrow tore it's way out of her.
Gasping for breath, Haruna failed to realise that the creature has came ever closer, until it's yellow eyes were directly in front of her. Opening her mouth to scream, the creature's tentacles suddenly wrapped around her head, pulling her face into it's own. She could not breathe, but felt herself fading into her subconsciousness, as a massive headache struck the Jupiterran. The creature inhaled, and Haruna felt her head bursting, her brains being sucked by the monster as it held Haruna from the back of her head, it's 'mouth' trying to suck her brains through her orifices.
Blood began to flow from Haruna's ears, eyes, nose and mouth as her blood vessels were slowly ruptured, as she resisted resolutely, willing her body to stay intact against the horror. Several minutes passed, when the creature disengaged itself from Haruna, leaving a bloodied, battered girl, heaving with every breath. However, Haruna looked at the creature defiantly, her will intact. Between the two, Haruna has won the battle of wills, keeping all of her organs intact and resisting the creature.
"Not... so... easy..." Haruna whispered, hanging limp from her bounds. Just then, several humanoids began screeching and scattering, a blinking alarm alerting the compound of intruders. Several cameras showed humans moving through the narrow corridors, as Haruna strained to look through her bloodied eyes. Suddenly, the creature's metallic tentacles touched her chin, raising it and forcing her to look at the cameras.
"Open the channels. Let them hear her screams."
A metallic tentacle spun, before shooting into Haruna's hip, gently drilling through flesh and eventually bone as Haruna let out the loudest, longest scream of her life, unimaginable pain shooting up from her hip as she continued to scream herself hoarse. Another tentacle lashed against her chest, tearing cloth and flesh as the creature sought to inflict as much pain into it's victim, taunting the humans, taunting those who cared for Haruna.
"Just give in... join us... become our A.I... and the pain shall be gone..." The creature whispered as it reached for Haruna's armpits, moving them onto her chest as the Jupiterran struggled, trying to resist the sensation of the creature's violation.
"I..." Haruna whispered, barely conscious. "I shall not..." The creature opened it's mouth as it wrapped around Haruna's head again, but no sooner has it attached itself, when it's head seemed to explode, stunning every creature inside the hall.
"I SHALL NOT GIVE UP!!" Haruna screamed as the dead monster fell into a heap, leaving Haruna a half naked, bleeding mess of a human. She was not overtly mutilated, except for a gaping hole on her hip, as well as numerous cuts across her chest. Straining her eyes, a familiar figure came into her sight, a dark haired man in a nanosuit, a Colonial. Someone she knew intimately.
"Alexander!!"

Soon after leaving the large crater in the middle of the Capitolium, the Colonials wandered through the streets of the city, trying to avoid any mutants and remain hidden. The Capitolium was in an even worse state than cities like Aquileia, making moving through it rather difficult. Of course, that was to be expected, considering the fact that at least 20% of it had been destroyed by a large nuclear warhead. The streets were covered in rubble and old cars, buildings were collapsed everywhere... this was clearly a ghost city. A dead city. A city that had nothing in common with the once beautiful and filled with nature capital of the Federated Colonies. A city of lost dreams and hopes...
Alexander was fairly quiet for most of the time, thinking at Haruna. Where was she? Was she... was she still alive? Did those.. mutants capture her? So many questions... but no answers. There was no way to tell for sure... but he still... felt that she was alive. He didn't knew if it was because of the swords, or simply because he wanted to feel so, but he felt that she was still alive... somewhere. And if she was still alive, he was going to find her. That was for sure. It didn't matter who was going to try to stop him, he was going to find her.
Eventually, they managed to find what they were looking for, after wandering through the chaotic labyrinth that the city was now. A large, desolate and partially collapsed building, vaguely looking like the style of a Greek or Roman temple. The Great Archive... the location where the Colonials held most of their Archive records. After the Twilight of Terra Nova, and the collapse of the Colonial Network, a lot of knowledge was lost here... a knowledge that could now help the Colonies and their allies in their fight against the Invaders.
"Enter formation, 45J. Be careful, we don't know what's in there. Try not to shot unless necessary, we have to try to make this quick and quiet, and the building itself seems to be pretty frail.", the Stabsgefreiter said as they prepared to enter, the soldiers and Prinz checking their rifles. Waya had also recently received a Colonial assault rifle, which was clearly much more better than the improvised rifles her tribe was using. Alexander simply unsheathed Mosrael, and took his officer pistol in the other hand. With that, they entered..
Much to their surprise, the Great Archive seemed to be rather empty. They knew that the first floor was supposed to be a library initially, but its large shelves were all empty... it was expected for the Archive to suffer damage, but where was the main processing unit? "I don't like this...", one of the soldiers said, a few moments before he was shot in the back. The mutants opened fire again. Seeking cover behind the shelves, the Colonials returned fire, but Alexander was angry... really angry. He simply felt that...Haruna was here, somewhere. And if those mutants were holding her...
Mosrael's dark red thorny vines pierced his hand through the nanosuit, starting to suck out blood, while its blade was engulfed by flames. Moving fast, Alexander continuously deflected the bullets fired at him, and ran towards the five mutants that were there, cutting the first one's head off, piercing the other's chest, shooting the third, cutting the fourth in two, and leaving the fifth to be shot by the soldiers. His nanosuit stained with blood, Alexander stopped for a few moments. "Follow me!" , he shouted to the soldiers. Running, he quickly got to the main stairs, and climbed down until reaching the basement and the dome inside. The large space there was... empty, probably ravaged decades ago by those mutants who had taken everything out. But this wasn't all... there was something more. He was simply... feeling it.
In the middle, there was a large statue, representing the emblem of the Archive, a Colonial Eagle, holding a parchment in one of its claws, and something that looked like an USB drive in his other one. From the earliest times, to the future.. the job of the Archive was to preserve the knowledge. Nuclear apocalypse or not, the Archivists would have probably done something... like hiding the main processing unit underground. Reaching the statue, Alexander pressed and turned the War Cross on it, and a trap door opened a few meters away, revealing stairs. The way to the underground..
Running through the narrow underground corridors, followed by the soldiers, Prinz, and Waya, Alexander simply killed everyone in his way. He felt it... she was here. Haruna.. and his worst fears were confirmed when the speakers were opened, and they could hear Haruna's screams. Those bastards... even more angry then before, the Colonial rushed forward. He wasn't going to let them hurt her anymore..
Many mutants tried to stop them, but they either fell under the bullets, or under Mosrael's blade. Running, they eventually reached a larger space under a dome, similar to what was up in the basement of the archive, but a little bigger. and darker... and more humid.... with a huge vault in the middle. The MPU of the Archive... but what quickly attracted Alexander's attention was of course, Haruna, half naked, and bleeding... this was enough. Just as the guards opened fire on the natives, Alexander rushed forward, to protect her, and got there just in time, deflecting some of the bullets the mutants were firing at her. Two natives rushed forward to him, one of them trying to hit the Colonial with the back of his rifle, Alexander parrying it, and kicking him, before turning around and slashing his sword at the second one, and shooting the first one after that, then another one, finishing it by cutting the head of a cockroach, as another fell under the bullets of Prinz... and a few minutes later, after the hell ended, the Colonials had lost five more soldiers, Prinz had been stabbed in the hand, and Alexander himself had a bullet somewhere in his arm, but it was over... all the mutants here were dead...
Taking a deep breath, Alexander coughed some blood. The Archive didn't matter anymore, nor anything else... just Haruna. Rushing to her side, Alexander used Mosrael to cut off the ropes that were binding her to a thick pole, dropping his sword and catching her in time, as Haruna, exhausted and no loner supported by the ropes was about to fall down. Gently, Alexander placed her on the ground, as he started to check on her wounds. "Are you okay, Haruna?", he asked, a little desperately. "What did those bastards do to you?.." At least... he had found her. She was... she was alive.... Haruna.
