Well, it's just that I don't exactly like the US in real life, so probably that's why I don't necessarily like having the Colonies being compared to them. I dont like it either, about half the time. That's why I created the Confederacy.
Don't like them as well, but I know too little about European countries to be able to compare the colonies with any of them.

Don't like them as well, but I know too little about European countries to be able to compare the colonies with any of them. The Colonies aren't necessarily mirroring the European countries. But there are many elements that mirror the European Union, and a possible future European Federation, since I'm personally an European federalist. When I initially created the Colonies back in the old RP, they were mostly a combination of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol from Battlestar Galactica, with few elements from the largely mysterious Sovereign Colonies from the Dead Space universe. Not much though, since the app of the first roleplay was rather rough, so I never exactly expanded it. But as the roleplay expanded, and as we were working on this universe, I did expand and work on the Colonies. By now, most of the Sovereign Colonies influences are lost, although I still like this name more than that of the Federated Colonies. I took some inspiration from the Galactic Republic of the Star Wars series, but I modeled it on the European Parliament and the German political system, and I took many other German influences.

How can you say that the Suprions are comparable to Japan?... You speak of a divine destiny...
