"I agree, Hegemon. Space, unlimited by Physics, opening new dimensions to human science and calculations." Haruna said as she watched her carriers engage the enemy at point blank range. However, the diversion of Colonial firepower onto the Carriers, whose energy wells were all dedicated to shields and small weapons to destroy the Colonial light vessels and fighters, meant that the Jupiterran fleet could close in near the front, still focusing their fire on the Colonial defensive posture. A Jupiterran heavy cruiser broke apart into small simulated bytes, and Haruna steeled herself.
Suddenly, the heavy MIYUKI Supercannons unleashed their 1,000 tonne shells with special energy dispersion tips to create a pure vacuum ahead of them. At the same time, the Jupiterran Dissector Mirrors extended, a Mirror Group of seven warships firing every laser they have at the mirror, resulting in concentrated beams striking the Klein Fields of the Colonial ships in an effort to overload and disable them, for their MIYUKI shells to fly true.

"Interesting...", the Hegemon said as the rest of the Jupiterran fleet was starting its attack. While the Colonial battlecarriers were still engaging the Jupiterran carriers in the middle of the Colonial formation, it was now up to the battlecruisers to intercept the attacks of the main Jupiterran forces. With their Klein Fields at maximum, the battlecruisers took in a part of the concentrated laser beams, while their defense batteries took off some of the others. Even so, it seemed that the Klein Fields of some of the battlecruisers were close to being overloaded.
"The Klein Fields used by the ships of the Kriegsflotte create a dimensional fold around the ships, similar to a Klein bottle. In theory, these shields would be near to indestructible, but if too much energy accumulates, the shields will go down. Usually, the procedure necessary to cool down takes some time... but the 4th Generation ships can use that energy for something else... ", the Hegemon said, smirking again."It was never tried in real life before, but this is just a game... what could go wrong?"
Some of the fields of the battlecruisers were overloaded, and shut down in a forced attempt to cool down, while leaving them with their armors only as a defense. But for the others, the new tactic of the Hegemon came just in time. Following his orders, the other battlecruisers redirected the energy that was close to overloading the shields to the offensive systems, and really soon, the reply of the battlecruisers to the enemy attack came, as they fired their Super Laser Cannons at the mirror and at the ships using it.

Haruna nodded, noticing that the mirrors reflected most of the lasers away from the ships, but damage was still taken. Damage which weakened both frontlines as the Jupiterran Vanguard smashed into the Colonial front, opening a small gap, not enough for an exploited breakthrough, but for a battleship to get through.
Haruna's flasgship shot through the gap, broadside cannons blasting away as the ship pierced the briefly thinned Colonial lines, coming face to face with the Colonial flagship. With the small breakthrough, the Jupiterran fleet aligned themselves into an arrowhead, meaning to punch through and exploit the mini gap created.

With the gap created, the heavy battlecarriers of the Colonial forces rushed into the gap, engaging the Jupiterran arrowhead trying to break through. This move left the two flagship alone to engage each other...
Alexander for one looked at the Hegemon. This was strange.. the purple eyed boy really seemed to enjoy this game. Under normal circumstances, he would have never allowed his flagship to enter combat.. but he really seemed to have fun.
The Colonial Military Ship Terra Nova was a Super Heavy Battlecarrier of the Nova Class, one of the oldest classes of the Colonies. Having a history of four centuries, in real life, the Terra Nova was one of the oldest and most mysterious ships of the Colonies..
"You're still obsessed about that ship, aren't you?", Alexander asked. The Hegemon simply smiled." What can I say... it's an interesting ship."
After that was said, the Terra Nova activated its Klein Field... and opened a full powered main batteries barrage against the Jupiterran flagship.

"Alright... This is it then." Haruna said as she powered her flagship forward. The batteries were all primed and ready, swung forward as the battle continued in full behind her. Klein Field theory or not, Haruna understood the utility of such defences right away. What she has as her flagship was the first ships to use liquid Planetary Cores as their main powerplant, generating an enormous amount of energy which could be projected in any direction.
"Full speed ahead."
The full shields of the Jupiterran Battleship came into play, the smaller ship projecting the rich liquid fuel into its highly volatile engines. The Battleship Haruna chose was a testing platform, a core for many classes and designs of ships. It was every bit of Jupiterran tech stuffed into a ship for testing, and whatever works, gets developed into a Class.
Pushing forward, the Jupiterran battleship took the Battlestar's attacks head on, Haruna angling the shields to deflect the Colonial attacks as much as possible. With a deafening grind heard throughout the ship, the shields and Klein Field began to clash...

As the Jupiterran flagship clashed into the CMS Terra Nova, the Colonial flagship's Klein Field managed to resist, at least for now, as the battlecarrier also started to push forward, powered by its sublight engines.
Alexander looked at the Hegemon, then at Haruna, and then at the Hegemon again. While Haruna seemed to be focused soley on the battle, the Hegemon seemed to be enthusiastic, especially about an opponent willing to do such risky moves. Under normal circumstances, the Colonial doctrine dictated that in such a case, the flagship should emergency jump away. Such was the conservative Colonial doctrine. But the Hegemon was fully taking the fight seriously. It was now or never.
"Overdrive."
Following the Hegemon's command, the Terra Nova injected the highest refined Opilium fuel, forcing its reactors to go into overdrive. The energy surge was enough for the Terra Nova to push forward, continuing its offensive. With the ships now directly clashing, the devastating main batteries barrage was supplemented by the defense batteries, intercepting the enemy attacks in the flakfields, trying to protect the shields from damage. Launching missiles and energetic torpedoes, the Terra Nova unleashed its offensive capabilities on the Jupiterran flagship. The battle continued.

The game continued, with the CMS Terra Nova and the nameless Jupiterran flagship engaging in close combat. In a far too close combat, to be specific. Luckily, this was a game, because in real life, no ship would have been insane enough to engage an enemy ship from such an short distance, not in this age, not in these wars. However, even if this was a game, the network system of the Frederick the Great was simulating it at a perfect level of realism. What happened in the game, could be very well what would happen in real life. And this was going to end pretty bad.
As the two flagships continued to fight, ignoring the battle around them, the devastating continuous barrage of the Terra Nova, and the eager response of the Jupiterran flagship soon led to both their shields being brought to critical levels. And not before long, the unavoidable happened. The shields of the Jupiterran flagship failed, and the Klein Fields of the Terra Nova were overloaded, shutting down. The two ships were now without their shield systems to protect them..
[SHORT TIMESKIP, THE CONTINUATION OF THE BATTLE MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT BE ADDED LATER]
"That's impressive.", the Hegemon said, watching as the game showed the end result. TIE. GAME OVER.
Although the battle itself had ended indecisively, in accordance with the game rules, the destruction of one's flagship automatically meant game over. And there they where, both flagships, burning, having destroyed each other at the same time. What were the chances of something like that to happen? Pretty low. But it happened, and the game between Haruna and the Hegemon came to an end.
"You can't see someone using their flagship in such a daring and risky attack every day. You are even better that I would have believed, Shimazaki Haruna.", the purple eyed boy continued. Of course, if this would have been real life, the situation would have been radically different, but Haruna had successfully managed to find out which was the most important thing in this specific game. Think different. Take risks. And it had succeeded.
Alexander himself also seemed happy about the result of the game. But before he was able to say anything, a voice was heard behind them. Or more specifically, two.
"Are you still playing that game, Julius? I know that it's supposed to be a military thing, but this a diplomatic mission. Can't you be more serious?", Cardinal said, the blind silver haired girl having just arrived in the CIC. She was wearing the same kind of outfit she was wearing when Haruna and Alexander had seen her in the Orbital Ring of Terra, the official Cardinal outfit of the Church of Axiom. Two nuns, most likely the same that had spoken to them back on Earth, where with her. Although blind, Cardinal did seem to look in the exact direction where Julius and the others were located.
"Don't be so bad, Cardinal. He deserves to play a little when he wants, at least. The entire Federation is in his debt. We would have fallen long ago if not for him."
The second speaker was however, slightly more strange. Although it was clear that she was well, a she, a young girl by the looks of it, maybe a little older than how Cardinal looked, she clearly wasn't human... at least, not totally. Although mostly human looking, her hair had a light, unnatural green color, and her eyes had a similar nuance, although a little darker. Her skin also seemed to have a little green hue. Her clothes where also green, and she was wearing a crown, a green crown seemingly made of.. plants?
"Welcome aboard the Colonial Military Ship Frederick the Great, Cardinal, Empress.", the Hegemon saluted, smiling. "I was only trying to see how good someone is at the Kriegsspiel. And you arrived just in time. We were waiting for you. "
"Something happened in the Parliament... and we have been delayed.", the two answered.
"Anyway, we should leave if we want to make it to Triangulum in time. The Conference is waiting to start..", the Hegemon continued, as he turned around to the terminal. The Colonial ship was ready to go.
